  1. Not disappointing at all. 4-12 last year, won 5 and lost 3 in the last minute. Apart from 3 horrible games, this team is fun to watch. It has been a long time since that happened. All I ask is that they improve each year. This year we take a run at .500 or a winning record, next year a run at the playoffs. Are loses disappointing, yes, but that will be the case for every team except one. If ones expectations were realistic, then this has been a great year.

  2. I don't know, but I really hope posts like this don't come back to bite us in the ass come December. It was just ONE game. Maybe the stars aligned for us today - KC sure did look like a bunch of idiots out there. I already feel this board getting collectively too cocky, which is way too premature IMO.

It's OK to get cocky and OK to get down. It's sports, this is supposed to be fun. Enjoy the ride, whoop and holler all you want, if they do crash later, I can look back at week one and think; man that was fun. I've seen people have great things happen in their life, but they try to stay even because they feel something bad is coming around the corner. When something bad happens, deal with it then, but when something good happens, grab with both hands and milk it for all you can. Go Bills!

  3. From Chris Brown's blog:

Bills WR Marcus Easley had to leave practice early Friday. Head coach Chan Gailey provided an update.

“He had to leave early,” said Gailey. “It was an illness, a medical issue, so it is not injury-related. So we expect it to resolve itself shortly.”

Easley is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

    -------------------------

Translation -- Easley has the schitts?

Easley has the schitts? What is going on today on this site? This is just embarrassing.

  4. Per Rotoworld:

Buster Skrine - DB - Browns Browns DC Dick Jauron has been impressed with under-sized fifth-round CB Buster Skrine since training camp opened.

"Buster has had a really good camp and I believe in the long run he's going to be an outstanding addition to this football team," Jauron said. "... He's done an outstanding job." The 5'9/185 speedster is ticketed for a role on special teams and in sub-packages to open the season.

I just want to say, Thank God the Jauron Years are behind us. I feel bad for Cleveland fans.

This is thirty seconds I'll never get back, but I should have known given the title for this post. Lets try to raise the bar here.

  5. Now I am waiting for the people to come on this post and say he doesn't know what he is talking about. Trading Lee Evans was just the lastest in the completely idiotic moves this franchise continues to make, over and over.

It's not that he's wrong, but the fact he states the obvious. It's the same when I read posts about the Bills poor drafts and roster moves and they say "that's we're bad" Holy cow Batman! How else do you become a lousy team? Next Jerry will write an article explaining why it's hard to drive in Buffalo winters; lots of snow maybe? We need to demand or at least expect more from a professional sports writer. Buddy and Chan can only be held responsible for the moves they made, no one else s. Oh, I liked the Evans trade.

  6. Honestly, I just would not be able to be a Bills fan if I just thought we were going to lose all the time and just suck eternally. What's the point? Where's the fun?

I couldn't agree more. I am a Bills fan because I like them, if I hated them like some people sound like they do, I'd pick a new team. I am confident this year will be fun and full of promise. Go Bills!

  7. The lack of ability in our offensive line is glaring. While Wood is solid, Levitre is not holding down his spot, Bell is still a work in project, the right side is a mess. We could enter the first week of the season with two starters that are castoff from other teams and plugged in at the last minute. With the defense getting manhandled by Chicago's power running game this team is looking more like a Dick Jauron team. What happens if Fitz goes down? I am not confident at all with what I am seeing. Taking the under in Vegas on the wins this season.

The only manhandling done by the Bills first team defense was to Chicago quarterbacks.

  8. This is just what I thought. He's the only #1 who really panned out in umpteen years and we trade him!

Contending status is a year or two away and like you said he's been here for umpteen years. No better time than now to deal him. Lee can finish his career with a contender. Everyone should be happy.
