  1. So who is this Tremaine Edwards that is quoted multiple times in the Leslie Frazier blurb?

        :wallbash:

The correct spelling just there to the right.  ROFL @ Saslo.  He's been embarrassing himself like this for years.

Dude, if you're going to run a board like that, the least you should be doing is checking your posts before you put them up.  You look stupid.  And you do it constantly for many years now.

  2. Injuries Bills have been hit with plenty this year. From the first game of the season we played today with 10ppl injured and not on the field. Almost 50% of the players

Every team has injuries. The Patriots have been hit harder than anyone and they are still winning. The Bills problem is not injuries its that they are laden with people like Russ Brandon, Whaley and Ryan.

Next year's W/L record will be better... much better!

LOL. Been saying that for 16 years or so, haven't you.

  3. agreed. with Marrone gone, EJ with a fresh start and a fresh set of coaching eyes wins the job and they get to 10-6 or better. injuries can destroy any of this , but assuming they stay at average NFL health or better, something really has to go off the rails for this team to be 8-8 or worse this year. I'll have to change my name.... 8&8 Forever just won't work anymore... and that would be great...

EJ Manuel is horrible. The entire QB staff is horrible. They let a 9-7 coach walk. They hired a 4-12 loudmouth to replace him. There is little to be positive about. Love the rose-colored glasses crowd. You're always good for a few laughs.

  4. Most fans and reporters have speculated that Tavaris Jackson was released last week in order to give E.J. the opportunity for more reps. That is probably the case.

John Murphy spoke with Simon on GR55 this morning of his impressions of minni-camp and at the end of Murphy's summary, he noted the arm talent of Jeff Tuel. I watched you tube highlites of Tuel and thought he threw the ball well and moved well in and out of the pocket. Now Murph has taken notice of him which makes me think that the departure of Jackson was for Tuel's benefit as well as E.J.'s. Training camp will be a lot of fun to watch this year.

I also love the glowing remarks about Kiko Alonzo, i.e., "it will take a stick of dynomite to get him out of the starting lineup". I'm excited.

All I will say is that Jackson had the Seahawks playing pretty well when he last got regular playing time. Why he never got a chance in Buffalo will always be a mystery. If they cut ties with Jackson, who had been playing well for Seattle then, perhaps, all three QBs on the roster (Kolb, Manuel, Tuel) are showing real potential.

  5. I've heard of many silly draft ideas, but the o.p. is perhaps the worst. He wants to reach for a QB at # 8 when there is no QB worthy of that pick. Then he wants a RT or a guard - two of the absolute weakest positions of any draft. Bray is a 4th round prospect that everyone you read says negative things about. The RT idea at #8 is abjectly ridiculous. And Warmack is a nice player but the Bills need LINEBACKERS, WR, maybe a OLT.

Jarvis Jones or Eric Fisher. Get a stud not a RT. ROFL at the original post

  6. "Keeping" Byrd by tagging him is meaningless unless they turn around and sign him to a new deal.

The off-season has been a disappointment.

They need ILB, SS, TE, WR. They should have at least signed a WR. Yet they are all off, en mass, looking at all these sub-par QBs then they change direction and sign Kolb mid-stream.

The Bills essentially have 2 GMs in Nix and Whaley. WHY can't they be talking to FAs more agressively while the pro-personnel people are doing what they get paid to do with the college athletes?

  7. What this move means is that OBD does not believe there will be a franchise QB available in this draft. Although I have zero faith in our FO, this seems to be an opinion shared by other teams as well, such as KC. That being the case, it seems to be a solid, low-risk move. I would liken Kolb to Alex Smith, who cost KC a pretty penny and probably does not have much greater upside than Kolb. I don't see how anyone can be very upset with this move; at this point we do not know how much guaranteed money is in the contract. At any rate, it's not your money, it's RW's , so just relax.

Kolb like Alex Smith? Watch much football? Alex Smith was the number 3 rated QB at the end of last year. Kolb couldn't hold a candle to Smith on his best day. ROFL comparing the two.

  8. If we don't with a quarterback at number eight, the team will HAVE to give up MULTIPLE picks to move up in the draft. There is no way they will be able to sit there at 41 and have their pick of who they want. Teams like Jacksonville, Philly and Arizona are in front of us and may avoid taking a QB in round one. HOWEVER, those teams will likely take a pick from the thick group of 2nd-round talents.

On top of that, the Jets move ahead of us in the 2nd round draft order and will likely be looking for a QB there. If we want to get "our" guy, or one of the "two" guys that Nix has said are likely somewhere in this draft then we'll have to move up.

Just pray this Kolb pickup doesn't mean they're going to just settle for whatever falls to them at 41.

    Panic much?
