  1. Somehow i'm not surprised by this.  I've been to a few NFL games in my life, and the Dolphins fans around us at that game were the worst I have ever experienced.  Guys were screaming obscenities at the little kids in front of us wearing Bills jerseys through the whole game.  On the drive out of the lot we had 4 or 5 groups of guys yelling at us and threatening to fight us just because we were wearing Bills gear.  People really suck.

  2. I don't know how we keep getting this crew year after year. It is so painful to listen to these guys. They both butcher the English language and are clueless. How many times did they call a completed pass incomplete and vise versa? In the 1st quarter when the Ravens were faking going for it on 4th down they said well they have good field position to try it ( They were on there own 38 yard line !!! ) Dumb and Dumber.

The good field position comment actually pissed me off for some reason. How much do these guys get paid to sound like idiots on TV every Sunday?

    • No Mighty. That's a taco. You guys from Buffalo think it's fast food, but when you've been gone for 25 years, I love the fact I can order on-line.
    • What about Beef on Weck? I don't know if Eckels is still open in Orchard Park, but they were awesome growing up. Personally I grew up working at the K of C in Lackawanna and they had the best BOW,
    • Pizza - Our favorite was Blasdell or Abbott Pizza as it tasted the same as both owners were best friends.
    • Lastly, how do you not include Hoaks as the Best Fish Fry on the planet.

Can you tell I grew up in the Southtowns as a kid. Other than the best people, and I mean that, I miss the food. I loved the Wegmans comment on the article. Best grocery store on the planet. My sis is a VP for them. She's worked there for 30 years since college.

I second the best fish fry nomination for Hoaks. Having that last name does not in any way make me biased.

  4. I guess coordinators are much smarter than I am, but I just don't understand half of our play calls. Can we not run a running back anywhere but right up the middle all the time. I wanna pull my hair out when we run two plays up the middle for 1 yard then have an incomplete pass when they blitz. I don't blame Rex for this. His defense did their job, our offense is terrible. For god sake try something different on offense in the second half. Please!!

  5. The drive towards the end of the game where they are down by 4 with a chance to take the lead again, and they call like 3 fade passes to the end zone, almost made me break my TV. Even after all the mistakes it was still there for the taking, and they call three bad plays in a row. All they had to do was keep doing what had worked all day. If our HC is still here next year, the OC sure as hell better not be.

  6. Who cares about the money. They are obviously suffering from some emotional and mental problems. Just because you have money, doesn't mean all your other problems are solved.

My point wasn't that they should be happy just because they have money. My point was there are millions of other depressed people around the world who don't have the money and have much more serious problems to deal with. If your biggest concern is that you spent 4 days watching Law & Order at your beach house because no one told you to go work out to be ready to play football, I don't care about your problems. Write a story about someone who is depressed because they have a terminal illness, lost their family and their home, and I will absolutely feel sorry for them and do what I can to help. Reading a story about a rich retired football player who doesn't know what to do with himself doesn't make me feel sorry for him. It makes me want to tell him to pull his head out of his ass and learn to appreciate everything he has that lots of other people don't have.

  7. I really wanna feel sorry for these guys, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Millions of people get depressed and suicidal every day around the world. Call me crazy but I think any one of them would prefer to be a millionaire or at the very least financially secure for the rest of their lives when that happens. Not ready for a life without people cheering for you all the time? Too bad, welcome to the real world, grow the f*** up.

  8. I lived in South Florida in the 70's and was at the Orange Bowl many times for Bills/Dolhins games,

and well as other Dolphins games as well. Well they don't use that, at least the Dolpins anymore, and I do not have

any other comparison as that is the only one besides the Ralph that I have been too.

But that stadium, atmosphere, and layout reminded me very much of the Ralph.

People parking in front lawns and the stadium in sort of like a residential area.

There won't be anyone else who can say they've been to the Orange Bowl now, it's been torn down and replace with the new Marlins Stadium.

  9. Not sure if this was posted yet:

UPDATE: So it appears that the Buffalo Bills are really, really into this Mario Williams guy. A league source has revealed to Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News that the club is ready to offer him a deal that will make him the highest-paid defender in the league. Furthermore, the Bills want to complete the deal as soon as possible. Williams is in Buffalo on Tuesday night -- as noted below -- meaning we could have a resolution to this in the near future.

  10. Hope it helps!

The big news out of Buffalo earlier this week was that the Bills had signed WR Stevie Johnson to a contract extension, avoiding having to place the franchise tag on him or risk losing him in free agency. Now that he's got his long-term financial future secured, the WR has set his sights on surrounding himself with some additional offensive weaponry. Namely, Vincent Jackson.

Joe Buscaglia of WGR 550 Radio noticed that Johnson had sent out a tweet to make sure Jackson knew about the money being spent on both himself and TE Scott Chandler (who got a new deal this week as well). The thinking is that this willingness to spend by the front office is a good recruiting tool for other FAs, who may not necessarily consider Buffalo an optimal destination.

The idea of the Bills landing Jackson made waves earlier this week. We'll see if Stevie's recruiting efforts, the link to Bills GM Buddy Nix or some other factor draw V-Jax to Western New York next week.
