Talking about Jason Peters here correct?

You got it! He was a  former TE at Arkansas working to convert to tackle and the Bills snatched him up as a UDFA. I'm pretty sure he didn't play any offensive snaps as a rookie, only special teams.

I'm old enough to remember an UDFA tight end who weighed around 330 who the Bills picked up.  Likely will be a first ballot HOF'r.

Sadly, many here won't know to whom you're referring. Got his big break on special teams (ofc everyone makes fun of this) blocking a few kicks and never looked back!

  3. You know, you don't need to build up Gabe Davis to tear down D Hop. I agree with you.... He hasn't been relevant or healthy in a while. BUT... don't put on your rose colored glasses and blame Gabe Davis' deficiencies on everything but Gabe Davis. Fact of the matter is he has MAJOR drop issues AND catch percentage issues. It's obvious the Bills feel the same way too. So much so that they were pulling guys off the couch last year to play WR. Going out on a limb and saying that they might know a little more than all of us on TSW.

  4. Long time track athlete and coach here. To be clear, this time wouldn't even put him top 100 in the world most seasons. The term "world class speed" is one of the most overly used cliches in football. These guys are elite fast on the football field, but pretty common against the best of the best on the track.

  5. Ooh, I love this one. Was a long time stalker of TBD way back in college and decided to finally join the year I wanted the Bills to draft, you guessed it.... Von Miller. Welp... We drafted Marcell, the ships captain, Dareus instead.. end of story. Or is it?!?!? Eleven years later, I finally got my wish!

They could of made him kick a long extra point. The whole taunting rule came into play after Tyreek Hill did the exact same thing you are watching him do in that video.

This is correct. The Bills could have elected to enforce the penalty on the PAT or the kickoff. If enforced on the PAT, it would've made it a 48 yard kick, hardly a chip shot, given that he pulled several kicks to the right, including the missed PAT.

Also correct is that it was a clear and obvious penalty. The rule WAS put into effect because of the actions of Tyreek Hill and Antoine Winfield (in the Superbowl) putting up the peace signs. These actions were specifically sighted by the competition committee in the off-season.

This was a huge miss and it definitely could've altered the outcome of the game.

  7. It hasn't just been this season, he has produced for a few straight now. Of course playing next to the best LB in the game, and behind an underrated d-line certainly helps.I doubt he would come back after we did him so raw, but I would be for it. I would love to see us draft Martez Wilson from Illinois. That would be my top option at ILB.

  8. You're right he's a legit top 10 pick

You're right we aren't talking about him

He's not worth the 3rd pick and it's so hard to trade down

He probably won't be a bill

Miller didn't look good? Wow...just wow. Worst post I've read in 2011. Youve the first I've heard say that today and I've been watching the NFL network for the last 16 hours. Just wow. Dareus was impressive, I can understand why so many pple on the board wanna draft him. But to say miller looked unimpressive is just baffling. Anyone else think Von miller was unimpressive in the combine?

I think the thing everyone is missing about Von Miller is how well he plays with LEVERAGE. I have watched several games, all senior ball practices, All Star Skills challenge, and the combine. This kid dips at the hips well, is fairly fluid in and out of breaks (sticks his foot in the ground and bursts), and consistently gets under pad level in games. I will say however, having seen him a lot, there are times where he relies too much on the speed rush and just gets pushed up field. He has played in space some, but I do feel he will adapt to this with coaching. BUT, to get back to your point, I thought from the meat market combine perspective, he looked very impressive.
