  1. I actually think that there might be. The still mourn the loss of Donahoe, and he's still their buddy. And if you recall how insecure Donahoe is, I'm sure he's still feeding them as much negative lines as he can about the Bills.

  2. It is in the financial interest of all these people that make big bucks to cover the draft to lambaste any picks that fall outside their forecast. The greater the discrepancy between their picks and reality, the more their source of income in covering the draft is threatened.

It is important for them then to criticize as loudly as possible picks that diverge dramatically from their well publicized views and prognostications, so as to punish those teams that do not follow their script as much as they can punish them through the media. This may serve to make teams less inclined to go against what is the general media wisdom come future draft days.

Its important to remember that the only stake these guys have in the draft is to their own previous, well publicized, statements and their wallets.

  3. marches are fine, but they can be easily ignored. Its much harder for the league to ignore a continual inundation of mail from thousands of bills fans as well as us raising a stink on all the media outlets that we can, especially ESPN (radio), until our concerns are addressed.

  4. Well can't be too  much of a war.  The skins have to make the decision tomorrow, so if anything was going to happen it had to happen already.  That said, I am suprised if the 4th is true but maybe that's what the bidding brought out.  The skins are releasing or trading Ramsey tomorrow along with a bunch of other players.

I meant that if he is simply released, a lot of teams will want him and he'll be expensive as a result.

I hadn't heard of this rumor anywhere, so we'll see if anything happens.

I'm actually pretty surprised by this list. It is radically different assesments that I have seen on most other draft sites. It also seems like he only has like a handful of people going in the first round. Most shocking to me is that he thinks Jon Scott and Winston will last to day 2! It seems like most people have them projected late 1st or early 2nd.

  6. Take a look at his answer as to whether JP may be playing soon. It certainly was not a ringing endorsement of Holcomb- plus he did not seem happy with the 4th down play. After reading that transcript I really think that there is a strong chance that JP starts for us against KC.

"Andrew Cook (Hudson Falls, NY): I really liked your offensive game-plan last night and it seemed to work well against a formidable defense all night. However, on the fourth down play, was Eric Moulds' route so short of the first down marker?

Mike Mularkey: It was a high-low route and we should have taken a shot at the high route. Even with an interception possibility, our odds of getting the first down would have been higher. I think Kelly Holcomb didn't feel that there was a chance on the high route and that one broken tackle by Eric Moulds gave us a better chance at a first down. It didn't happen, but the route was the right depth.

Steve Edsall (Hilton, NY): Mike although I did agree in the switch to Kelly Holcomb in an effort to save the season, isn't it time to give J.P. Losman the chance to develop? Let's face facts, the defense isn't scaring anybody and the offense needs to further gel in order to have real chance in playoffs.

Mike Mularkey: At some point it's going to happen. We're going to do an evaluation this week on every position. That's what the bye week is for. We'll look at each player, each scheme and the play calling. Everybody will take a good look at themselves, coaches included, and if switching back to J.P. is the decision than that's one of the decisions we will make, but all options will be discussed."

  7. I know I will get alot of "your not a true fan" feedback from this. Like alot of emotions they are something you cant control. Ive been a loyal Bills fan for 30 years through thick and (mostly) thin. Now I find myself not loving the Bills but mad at them. Or even worse, indifferent to them. Thier management continues to make the same mistakes that they have made for over 20 years. They refuse to get good lines on both sides of the ball. That game in Oakland that I went too was the back breaker. They were pathetic and Ive ALMOST had enough. What enhanced the crappy gameplay of the Bills was having it rubbed in your face by RaiderFan. Does it get any worse than that?  Im getting resentful of the Bills for lettting me down time and time again. Other teams seem to get it done on a regular basis. Hell, even the Redskins with their wacky ownership are building a solid team. I dont know. I know im rambling a bit but I almost want to see the Pat's rip em a new one Sunday so something will break for the Bills. Kinda like the NHL now. A few eggs had to be broken with the lockout to get a better product and we got it. Now I wouldnt mind seeing the Bills hit rock bottom(yet again) to facilitate a new dawn for them. I'll get blasted for this I know.

I'm feeling the exact same way.

  8. Well, at least our run defense looks better....McAllister is no slouch, and he's only at 2.8 ypc.....can anyone comment on Anderson? Is he contributing to this or a non-factor?

    461157[/snapback]

honestly, the defense looks pretty crappy. They're throwing a lot and marching down the field pretty much each possession.
