  1. Im not, and who is? We all expected a blowout, yet everyone is raging about the game and how we stunk. Yea we stunk, but we all knew it was coming. This team simply cannot put up points. Thats what it comes down to. The positive is that i think this was our toughest test of the year, and we got a shot at the Pats next week.

    I'm actually shocked....that I watched the entire 4th quarter

  2. Spiller has been relegated to special teams, a la Teddy Ginn, while the coaching staff showcases Lynch (if they were so committed to Lynch, why burn a #9 on his replacement?). Troup occasionally spells the undersized Kyle Williams, but the 3-4 still lacks a consistent anchor.

    That's it.

Carrington was inactive for the second straight week. Easley and Batten are done already for the year. Moats and Wang are years away from being able to contribute. Calloway and Brown couldn't even make this roster despite playing the two positions where we're the weakest.

How can anyone say this team is "rebuilding" when they haven't started building anything?

It sure looks like they're just "re-doing," getting the fans excited about another blown draft, this time by "experienced football men." What a crock. Either play the kids you brought in, or step aside and let someone else pick the next kids.

I said this last week and got raped by the members here. I expect the same to happen to you

  3. Just about the dumbest thing I have ever heard on here and that is saying alot. If Buffalo gets more than a FG against Baltimore, I'd be shocked. If Edwards survives the game, I'd be more shocked. Baltimore's defense is one of the best in the league. Jets D is right there too. May as well compare...something...I don't know. Just idiotic.

Bills will beat baltimore....you heard it here first. I will revive the thread after we win

  4. I had a great trip visiting family and friends. Alway love going back to Buffalo.

The game was a disappointment, here are my thoughts on it:

    1. Our OL was very bad, no surprise here, especially the tackles. Green is worse than Butler who was worse than Walker. Bell did ok, not great. Meredith was very poor playing for Bell in the 4th quarter. Most disappoining factor was that the Bills did not run enough and that they did not even try to run up the middle. They conceded that to the Phins and Chan said as much. So the strength of our line did not even get a chance.

    2. Edwards look like he did last year. True --- No blocking and no time but happy feet and no poise. I saw recievers open but he had no time to set up and deliver. He cannot throw on the move and he will not throw down field unless someone is wide open.

    3. 3 starting RBs? Blah. I would trade any one of them for Jake Long right now, no question.

    4. The defense looked good but now have teams have film and can us it to rip our LBs to shreds. None of them can cover .. Kelsay and Davis are very weak in coverage. Poz played well and will be missed. So did the secondary, especially McKelvin.

    5. Biggest disappointment was Chan's game plan. It was one demisional and not very creative. He was rightwhen he said he did not have the offense prepared.

    6. Tha fans - lots of drunk and disorderly idiots around me only made it worse.

I watched the game on TV and only heard "boos" once....were there more or did I just not hear them?

  5. You want the team to give up on the season in week 1? That's what you're telling the players when you start guys who don't deserve to start. Come week 10-11 I think you might start seeing this but a coach absolutely can't do that in week 1, he'd lose his team.

I get the point...but many people here want to draft a QB next year with our #1...How do you rationalize starting a rookie qb but not a rookie defensive tackle or defensive end???

Peyton Manning, rookie QB started from day one....just sayin.

Troupe did exactly what he's supposed to do in a 3-4 defense, he occupied blockers. From what I could see, he was more effective than Williams at occupying the double team. If you're looking for him to bust into the backfield and whip QB's to the ground that's not what he's there for.

Maybin had a pressure and was 1/2 second away from a sack.

    Is that an actual stat?

What I'm trying to say is if your building your team from a draft stand point than commit to that.

Kelsay makes no sense what so ever as a Linebacker...and its insulting to try and pass that off as such. I agree with you on Maybin. He's crazy quick and should be in there full time. You learn by doing and making mistakes, not riding the pine while having players that have absolutely no future here suck up the playing time.

  6. If this was/is/supposed to be a rebuilding year/s then why not take it seriously. Where was Troupe yesterday? Where was Carrington? Why not replace Kelsay with Maybin? Why didn't we cut Trent and Fitz and start either Brohm or Brown? Get rid of Jackson and Lynch and keep CJ and Bell as our primary backs. Jackson and Lynch clearly aren't our future.

Yesterday reminded me(many of us) of the last 10 years...putting lipstick on a pig. We have nothing to lose so give our young draft picks the reps.
