A mobile Eli is a good comparison. What you're saying, which I think is correct, is that Fitz is a guy who can win if you build around him. I'm just concerned that the Bills may never spend enough on coaching, scouting, and personnel to build enough of a team around a guy like Fitz.

Fitzpatrick helped engineer 30 points against the Patriots, but at the cost of 2 interceptions. Pretend that you don't know what the other team scored. I would take that EVERY WEEK compared to what we have gotten in the past few years. We scored 30 points against the Patriots, give me that QB every week if he can perform at that level.

 

Yup! With the conservative playbook they've had the last 3 years, I'd rather see it opened up and take some risks. Even at the expense of some bad plays. Not to mention Fitz only had one week of taking all the snaps in practice. The team seems to rally around him more than Trent which, in my mind, is just as important as having talent.

Fitzpatrick was an improvement over Edwards, but you can blame him because he threw costly interceptions in crunch time to lose the game.

 

The game wouldn't have been within reach by the third quarter if Trent started IMO. At least they got to the point where a late game INT meant something.

This team isn't any worse than it was last year and Fitz won 5 times as many games as TE. The stats sucked all around, but not the most important one. Just sayin'........
