What a knucklehead...
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/03/15/adrian-peterson-slavery-nfl_n_836090.html
"It's modern-day slavery, you know? People kind of laugh at that, but there are people working at regular jobs who get treated the same way, too. With all the money," Peterson continued. "The owners are trying to get a different percentage, and bring in more money."
He should be tarred and feathered.

In watching the south practice today, Mike Mayock was going on and on about Andy Dalton. There were some facts that caught me as surprised, that were said by imo the best media talent evaluator in the business. His int td ratio was something like 40 to 4 or something like that. He went 30 and 1 in his last collegiate games and most importantly he was the mvp in the last 4 bowl games he played in.
Those are a lot of the intangibles that Buddy said he liked in a qb. I always remembered those factors because he said thats how he said the Chargers knew Phillip Rivers was the qb they wanted. Hes a winner and hes the most important football player on the field, wherever he is. Lets see how he does the rest of the week.
I have been talking about this kid all year.....I love him. I hope his stock doesnt go up to high because we should take him in the 3rd.

Here are the misses we let go in the first round the past decade, now we can't hit homeruns every time but this will show how sad but true we did.
2000 - #26 DE Erik Flowers (this pick still makes me mad)LB Keith Bulluck
2001 - #21 CB Nate Clements (not bad) QB Drew Brees (how long have we been replacing Jimbo)
2002 - #4 OT Mike Williams ( knew this guy was a bum, big don't mean good, this guy was as nasty as a lamb) DE Dwight Freeney (my pick) S Ed Reed
2003 - #23 RB Willis McGahee (ok) TE Dallas Clark (yeah couldn't use him) (If we had Brees then we wouldn't have traded for Bledsoe and could have had S Troy Polamalu (imagine him and Reed as our safties  )
2004 - #13 WR Lee Evans (surprisingly never made probowl) NT Vince Wolfork (was a beast in College and still is today, would have taken him in a heart beat)
2005 - pick went Dallas #20 could have had QB Aaron Rodgers or G Logan Mankins
2006 - #8 S Donte Whitner DT Hiloti Ngati any questions
2007 - #12 RB Marshawn Lynch CB Darrelle Revis
2008 - #11 CB Leodis McKelvin (still waiting) OT Ryan Clady
2009 - #11 DE Aaron Maybin (Taking the fastest first step right out of here ) where do we begin Superstar OLB Clay Matthews, DE Brian Orakpo
,LB Brian Cushing
2010 - #9 RB CJ Spiller (BPA ) been over this plenty so short and quick; OT Brian Bulaga, DE Jason Pierre-Paul (OLB for us)C Maurkice Pouncey, QB Tim Tebow,
Have at it.
It is so sad. I think about this same stuff almost every day.
This year the one guy I am keeping an eye out for is QB Andy Dalton....He looked the best during the bowl games and is a four year starter who is use to winning.I think he is the best QB coming out and nobody talks about him.
-
I have been watching this kid all year. Smart with the ball a winner. He throws the ball with such velocity and I feel he is better than Luck.Four year starter is a major plus...he wont have to sit. Defense first round Dalton in the second.
-
This is the guy we should draft. We could probably get him in the 3rd. Any thoughts?
-
To those that CONTINUE to defend Whitner....Just comparing some of Whitner's numbers. Is he still worth the money? BULLLSHT.
DONTE WHITNERS CAREER...64 games started, 1.5 sacks, 5 INTs, 1 TD, 17 PDef, 3 FF.
ERIC BERRY - 14 GAMES STARTED, 2 sacks, 3 INT, 8 PDef, 1 FF.
TROY POLAMALU - (LAST 58 STARTS, 5 SEASONS) - 2 sacks, 19 INTs, 1 TD, 50 PDef, 5 FF
KENNY PHILLIPS - 19 GAMES STARTED, 12 PDef, 4 INTs,
ADRIAN WILSON - (LAST 5 SEASONS, 70 GAMES,) - 11.5 SACKS, 15 INTS, 1TD, 7 FF, 35 PDef
LARON LANDRY - (LAST 56 GAMES STARTED) - 4 sacks, 4 INT, 5 FF, 31 PDef.
YEREMIAH BELL - (LAST 57 STARTS) - 6 sacks, 4 INT, 8 FF, 36 PDef.
DAWAN LANDRY - (62 STARTS) - 5 sacks, 2 FF, 9 INTs, 24 PDef,
RENALDO HILL - (LAST 67 STARTS) - 2 sacks, 3 FF, 9 INTS, 2 SACKS, 22 PDef
So in conclusion, what is Donte Whitner good at?
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
I totally agree. Poz sucks also......he gets burnt and run over all the time.
-
I love it!!
Maybe it will catch on if enough people start using it.
I also have to much time on my hands....thats why I have a Jim Kelly blow up doll.
-
Yes, Moats has a lot of potential.
You do not understand football if you think Poz sucks. Period.
Poz does make a lot of tackles but they are after someone has been downfield 7 to 10 yards.
He is always being burnt by someone. He sucks.....period!!
-
I think this guy is going to be the next great pass rusher.
Oh and Poz sucks!

With Fitzpatrick's recent resurgence under Gailey, I can't help but wonder what Edwards would be doing right now if they would have been a little more patient with him. I still think the kid has all the physical tools and he went to Stanford so we know he's capable mentally to play quarterback in the NFL. I say we try and bring him back at some point- perhaps not until after the season as I realize Fitzpatrick has a nice rhythm going right now. But next year I'd like to see the job handed back to Edwards and see what this kid can do with an offense that can actually function. It will probably require re-structuring his contract as I'm sure we could get him pretty cheap right now. Not to mention this would solve the long-term question at QB and we could focus strictly on defense in the first round. It's almost too simple. Git r' done Buddy!
ARE YOU A !@#$ING IDIOT!!!!!?????

From his Twitter:
He really should accept the responsibility solely on his shoulders, and not blame God. Also, he should probably leave God out of this entirely. Some religious people may find that Tweet offensive.
Mods I know there is another thread about this but it has a subject line that is kinda misleading
God is always thanked when people win so why not be mad at him when you dont.

I have to admit that I was one of the ones rooting for the Bills to loose ( drove my wife nuts ) so we could finally get our QB but I think we can win with Fitz. The guy just impresses me more each week. Every pick should be for the line and we will be fine.
When was the last time a Bills QB put his numbers? Not since Kelly did someone play the way he is and the offense put up that many points. Build around Fitz!!!!!!
-
I've said this already, but it bares repeating:
If being unable to make it happen when you're starting with your heels in your own endzone with less than a minute to play and no timeouts = choking...well, then no, Fitzpatrick, like at least 25 of the NFL's starting QB's cannot overcome his choking.
I was more concerned with the pick he threw up 19-14. The game was in hand and we could have sealed it. Three weeks in a row he did this. The great ones play bad and find a way to win. Right now Fitz plays great and finds a way to lose.
-
The two experts(Mortensen & Schlereth) with the best record 73-44 both pick the Bills
I want Andrew Luck.....try not to win so we can get him.
-
Agree but big if. Knee problems and not much production since caught using steroids.
let him go back on the juice...everyone is using it.
-
Did anyone watch the Oregon blowout of UCLA last night? Darron Thomas was dropping some beautiful passes over defenders heads. Looks like he has a very nice touch. Just one more QB that we can only hope will come out early (way early in this case).
Jake Locker should be the pick. Thomas types never really pan ouy in the NFL.
-
Stay away
The more I watch games on saturday I like Locker......doing really good things on a so so team.
-
After reading the bit on Buffalo moving back to the 4 - 3 because we don't have the players, I took a look at defensive rankings. Giants are 2nd total defense, 2nd pass, 7th rush. Good thing we got rid of that Perry Fewell guy:
Its all about the talent.....Buffalo has none.
-
If there's anybody on this team I think we need to lock up and keep around, it's this guy. I'd take away Kelsay's contract and give it to him in a second. The bottom line is, we don't need another hole to fill in the offseason. Poz and Davis are the only starter-worthy linebackers we have on the team. I hope they're working on something right now.
Have you been watching any games? Poz makes all of his tackles down field and gets thrown around by everybody.
He is a back up at best. Holes to fill.....the entire defense is one big hole.
-
I have mixed feelings about Poz. He's one of our cornerstone players (hold on poz haters). But the question is what does that mean, and is that saying much?
Does that mean he's the best on a team totally lacking high end talent, but in comparison to other cornerstone LB's, really not very good? Or is he individually more talented than he's able to showcase because of those around him? And therefor just simply needs upgrades around him for his potential to materialize? I'll submit when Poz is out, this team is noticeably worse and misses him sorely on the field. But again I ask, does this mean he's missed because of how good he is, or because the rest of the team is just that bad?
These are the million dollar questions, and the heart of the debate.
My personal feelings are;
My heart tells me Poz can be an impact player if the supporting cast was better. But my brain tells me he just isn't a great talent. If you're great you're great, no matter who's around you. In fact your greatness elevates those around you, and they are the one's that look better because of you. If you can't inspire greatness out of others, how can you yourself be great? So in conclusion, I think Poz is a decent player. He's a good tackler and has a nose for the ball. He lacks the overall speed and strength needed to maximize his instincts. He's a hard working smart football player, that just doesn't have the god given skill set to be an impact Linebacker.
He !@#$ing sucks....I was at the game last week and he was getting thrown around like a rag doll.He made one play behind the line of scimmage the rest are 6 to 12 yards down field.

After doing some research, I thought about it, and really Marv was only in control for one full offseason. Hired in January 2006, he had 3 months before the 2006 draft which had already been scouted for. 2007 was all Marv, and considering he was the GM for that season, we'll say the scouting for the 2008 draft was also all on him.
I'll list the picks we made, and the ones who are gone will be in parentheses.
2006: Whitner, McCargo, Youboty, (Simpson), Williams, (Butler), Ellison, (Pennington), (Merz)
2007: (Lynch), Poz, (Edwards), (Wright), (Wendling), (Schouman), (Ah You)
2008: McKelvin, (Hardy), (Ellis), Corner, (Fine), (Bowen), (Omon), Bell, Steve Johnson, (Cox)
The 2006 draft can be called solid. They may not be the best players in the league, but Whitner, Williams and Ellison are all starters (Ellison generally due to injury, but still he's started more games than he's sat). But come on? 1 pick left from 2007? 4 from 2008? 5 out of 17 picks? That's not how a team is built.
Just think about the players available at those draft spots were we chose. Nata and Orakpo just to name a few.
-
I say Aaron Maybin. Who do you guys think?
Poz....he sucks! I was at the game this past sunday and he was getting thrown all over the field.
-
I will, mostly because I want to check out my Fanvision unit the Bills sent me. And see everyone at Lot 1 Pole 5 and Hammers Lot. I hear Sidbuff will be there also.
I come up every year by myself from Jets and Giants country. Is there anyone I can hang out with?
-
This is going to be Buffalo's first win.I hate the Jets and can't wait to see what they say when they get beat.
Rex Ryan is a big fat big mouth ass hole.
