  1. Hope you guys don't mind me getting back on topic.

This whole thing is not about political preference, opinions, world view or about a football coach publicly stating either of the afore mentioned.

It is about judgement and leadership and decision making. Unfortunately, this move nicely tops off Rex' at best sketchy record in both these fields.

I'm very aware of the fact that the better part of football coaches (and players, probably) lean towards consevative world views that don't reflect mine. That's fine. Endorsing Donald Trump has nothing to do with a conservative world view. Trump is not about conservative values, which, for the largest part, I can respect without sharing them. Trump is about one thing only and that is Trump. Though he may seem to be a racist, a chauvinist, a sexist, all he really is is a narcissist lunatic. He couldn't give a **** about the Buffalo Bills or the United States of America.

The fact that Rex Ryan doesn't seem to notice all this does trouble me. It does not instill hope in me that last year's series of questionable decisions is a thing of the past and that the Bills are moving on to greener pastures with Rex.

  2. Gee so you don't like Fox News? I won't debate you on the merits of various news outlets because this is a Buffalo Bills forum, but your response made me laugh. It sounds like a talking point from the Democratic party. And like I said, I knew that there would be at least one person that had to disparage Fox News instead of enjoying the #2 ranking.

    And there should be more.

  3. Yeah, I know what you're gonna say.

But my man crush just got rekindled when listening to the conference call Fitz had with the Buffalo media. http://www.buffalobi...cb-51c792d5e8ea

If you put aside his physical shortcomings as a QB, he is the best QB any team could ever ask for. And the fact that he quite candidly aknowledges those shortcomings makes him even better.

I would absolutely love to have Fitz being our backup QB and, especially, the man mentoring EJ.

  4. Actually, following Walker, I have quite enjoyed reading Rodak's blog. Pulitzer Prize? No. But he sure does a better job of reading up on what he's about to write about, Graham, whilst obviously being a rather volatile character, is also a rather talented writer, I tend to find. Walker deserves the kind of rant this thread was opened with.

  5. I think we need to return to the days when men were men and looked like men.

And whats with all the Tattoos all of a sudden everyone has dozens of them, I thought only sailors got them.

That's probably the next thing players with offensive tattoos will have to cover them up, wear long sleeves, I can see it now a players scores a TD and flashes his Tattoo of a gang symbol or a naked lady or something inappropriate.

We may support the same team. But we sure don't live in the same world. And, boy, am I thankful for that... My 97 year old grandfather is more open-minded than you.

  6. Lol oh ok because Marrone does so much. We saw the saints lost Sean Payton and their season tanked. That's because Payton is an offensive genius and calls all of the plays in addition to being the glue that holds it all together. There's value in that. Marrone doesn't have any of those skills but apparently we just have to take your word for it that we owe him our first born for the job he's doing this year when the truth is none of us know. Or you can look at the facts and see that Pettine has brought an aggressiveness to the Bills that we haven't had in many years and Hackett although highly questionable on some of his play calls brings a new-age uptempo offense. And Marrone does...?? But hey he has a good attitude and sounds good in interviews.

I'm not saying I'm not happy with Marrone. I like the whole coaching staff. I just don't know how much credit Marrone personally deserves. My favorite coach is Pettine and I think he deserves a lot of the credit. Maybe more so than Marrone but it's difficult to quantify

What you're saying is that a team with two great coordinators doesn't need a HC. Do you really believe that?

  7. Hey, you have to give the Bills FO a LOT of credit. They brought in guys they suspected would be UDFAs for pre-draft visits, which gives them the edge when the FA meat market frenzy began. It was an extremely shrewd move to bring in guys like Rogers and Tuel.

FYI - I know people in Miguel Maysonet's neighborhood and word is the Bills called him in the 6th round and said if he went undrafted they wanted to sign him. Pittsburgh also showed interest. I actually saw him win the Long Island Championship in 2008. Good player, but not huge.

    He's an Eagle, I believe.
