Teams miss on first round OL too, we can't expect to get a starter with every pick. I want to give him one more year of Nfl workouts and training camp before we start throwing around the "bust" word. Personally I feel like we are having better drafts recently than in previous years even after missing on picks like manuel and kuandjo.

I'd like to see some penalty analytics. Seriously, it does seem like the Bills penalties...the 50/50 calls... get called alot against Buffalo when it's a game changing situation or a big yardage situation. I mean don't let everything go on both O-lines then all of a sudden call a "ticky tack" holding on a 20 yard run to wipe out a converted 2nd and 9 situation. Call the obvious stuff, I have no problem with that. Call the game consistently on both sides for goodness sakes. I mean the guy who head butted the helmet-less Lee Smith in Denver....if that's a Bills defender doing that it's an obvious 15 yarder! There's no dount in my mind that would be called against Buffalo. The refs subliminally do have favorites during games. Its human nature.
I agree with all of this. I am the first to admit we are 7-6 because of our incapable offense not because of the refereeing. It just seems this year we are getting screwed even more so than normal.

A lot of people who eat, breathe and live nfl football like myself do not think the refs are out to screw the Bills. However, there is a strong argument that the nfl and the media favor the most popular teams with the quarterbacks every one loves to see play. The pats and broncos may have more penalties overall but the timing of penalties is more important than the total number. I am not a conspiracy theorist at all but I am starting to think refs have an influence on the game intentionally. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that when the pats play the broncos or green bay plays seattle in the playoffs these games will generate massive more amounts of viewers and ultimately money.

Only people on the inside really know the whole situation. The only two things we can say for sure are that he used to be a good red zone target and he has always been known for acting out. Personally I trust the coaches (except for Hackett). This is the best team buffalo has had in 10-15 years and we are a qb away from playing for a superbowl.

Really a bills win today makes for a more interesting December for the league
For who? Us Bills fans?
It's about money, and Peyton playing Brady in the playoffs makes a ton of it.
-
The NFL officiating is pathetically inconsistent. Anyone who thinks the refs don't protect the elite teams with the quarterbacks everyone wants to see play in the playoffs doesnt watch enough. I seriously watch too much football and I would bet $100k on it.
-
I am so sick of the refs helping out the media darlings I could puke. We may not of been the better team today but with a competent offense and a level playing field we could beat anyone.
-
I think Kim Pegula would beat up the Op

It's been 10 or 15 years since I was this excited for a Bills game in December. Get to Peyton and make him uncomfortable and we have a chance.
Let's go Buffalo!!!

Probably have to stick with the rookies at this point because they should get better with more experience and nfl workouts. Pears on the other hand is terrible in my opinion and is better fit to be a backup and depth. Like many of the regulars have already said Urbik must of slept with the coaches wife or something to be getting zero playing time.
-
This is ridiculous I can't take this officiating!!!
-
There is no question right now our guards are a big weakness. I've never felt this good about a Bills team since the 1999 season though. Imagine if in the next couple years through the draft and free agency we add a couple stud guards, a better tight end so chandler can be very productive as a TE #2, a young qb, and more young depth at other positions we will be stacked!!!
-
Pathetic and the refs are garbage too

How do you make a hormone?
Put it in her butt.... Lol sorry guys but it's Friday and I couldn't resist puttin a dirty joke in here.
-
In my opinion Whaley is the only person in the front office who has done enough to keep his job. He actually built a pretty strong team with nice depth, and I know we are missing an elite qb but so are 2/3 of the teams in this league.
-
I'm disappointed to say I am off the Manuel bandwagon and I was wrong about him. I thought he would turn out alright but he is terrible at this point and I welcome a switch to Orton.
-
Pathetic. I have to say I was wrong about Manuel he is not even an average qb in this league he is terrible. I welcome Orton at anytime
-
If the Bills are lucky, they might win 2 more games. Mark my words. They're going to be worse than last season.
Some people's posts make it very clear they don't watch any of the actual game footage. We are already a better and more rounded team than last year you pathetic excuse for a fan.
-
I noticed us blitzing multiple guys a couple times and it looked like the Chargers O line were stuffing it. They might be the best pass blocking O line in the league right now.
-
I was a Gilmore supporter until today. He is average at best right now and possibly the 3rd or 4th best corner on the team.
-
Put pressure on rivers and control the clock with our running game and I think we get the close win!
Let's go Buffalo!

You do know that website is run by lawyers, don't you? I guess they succeeded with you - making you scared and likely to sue if bitten. In addition, for every pit bull bite or attack, there is another by another breed you never hear about. A pit bull attacks someone...front page news or good reading on a sensationalist website. A lab attacks someone...you'll never hear about it.
Plus, there's a staggering amount of scientific studies that have shown pit bulls are no more aggressive than any other breed of dog, leading to both the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) to issue a position statement against Breed Specific Legislation.
The AVMA statement can be seen here, which is excellent literature for educating the public:
http://avsabonline.org/uploads/position_statements/Breed-Specific_Legislation-download-1.pdf
The AVMA is hardly a biased source of facts.
Here is a report from the American Temperment Test Society:
http://atts.org/breed-statistics/
Go to American Pit Bull Terrier and Anerican Staffordshire Terrier. Their rates of aggression are no different than most breeds - less than average aggression.
Here is a very recent study by the University of Bristol in the UK that surveyed 14,000 dog owners. Breed was not found to be a predictor of aggression:

Great post, I can tell you are a pit bull lover like myself. Personally I think pitbulls, labs and German shepherds are the best dogs out there and like you said pitbulls just get the worst rep.

I was born in 1969
My dog has 8 nipples
I bought a 12 pack of Labatt's Blue and 3 are left
Halloween is on the 31st
I have three pair of clean underwear in my drawer
1969+8+12+3+31+3=2026
We will win the Superbowl in 2026
Numbers are fun.
This made me crack up. Anyone else think of the movie 23 with Jim Carey in it when reading the OP?

Might be different pistol formations. I love it for running the ball and using a ton of different formations to confuse the d.
Just saw Brad Smith

Brad smith was responsible for the kickoff mishap last week against the Cowboys where instead of catching the shorter kick he didn't even look up and ran past it to make a block. That play of the game gave the cowboys some serious momentum. Brad smith is done, and we don't miss him. /thread
