  1. As much as I've always had a soft spot for Stevie (outside of dropping easy TD's and exposing lame beaters). He was never truly a #1 WR for this team and it speaks volumes about our lack of talent during those years with Fitz. I'd do find it humorous that he and Brandon Marshall loved Fitz. Ironically id rather bring Fitz back as a bench warmer and player/coach then take the risk with Stevie. He should consider retirement. Too many injuries the past 2 years. No thanks.

This is what I remember. He was fun to watch, but it's easier to remember his botched plays. If he wants to suit up one day and retire a Bill, I'd be OK with that.

  2. I don't have the words anymore. Until the old man dies and we know where this team will end up, does it really matter? For the record, I voted yes, but I don't think it just stops with Chan. Wilson is a loser A rich loser, but a loser. Now every western new yorker is tied to loser lifestyle for no better reason than they were born there. This is just disgraceful. There isn't enough beer in the world.

  3. IMO this labor dispute is a microcosm of the presidential election and political rhetoric

It's organized labor vs big corporation.

And the media is pushing their angle to make it a talking point

    Just my .02 cents

The media is the reason we can't go 30 seconds in a game without a flag being thrown or being baffled by a missed call on blatent pass interference? The ref's blow. They are making the game almost unwatchable. Too much is being called and just as much is being missed (if that makes any sense). No one cares, not really, about the refs. We care about the game being enjoyable to watch again. That is all I am seeing in the media.

  4. Brees is a great quarterback, but I don't want to mortgage the future for him. That's all. If we could get him at a lower cost than he's due then I am game. Nothing to with chemistry.

Hell no. He is the biggest whiny B word in the NFL. I can't stand the jerk ever since reaching a CBA he tweeted the players weren't 'Slaves'. He is nothing but the product of a system and the Saints know it. Without Sean Payton there he isn't going to do **** compared to normal and they know it. Their GM needs to entertain a trade offer with someone and cut bait if you can still trade franchise players (not sure with new CBA)

Wasn't he doing well his last year in San Diego, without Sean Payton? I don't have numbers, and my memories are fuzzy

There are moments in ones life where they can recall every detail of a particular d

An example would be when Kennedy was shot. Or perhaps 9/11.

For me it has happen only a few times. My wedding day, when President Regan was shot, 9/11, and January 3, 1993

Before anyone suggests I am trying to equate the Buffalo Bills comeback victory over the Houston Oilers to epic tragedies in time, I am not.

The reason for the post is simply because I thought it would be interesting to see where people where when this historic sporting event was going down.

Where you there? Did you leave? Could you get back in? There must be some interesting stories.

I was home alone in my glory. The neighbors could hear me screaming. It was a day I can remember so vividly that it still brings chills to my soul.

(This is my first post.... Hope I did it right. If not, forgive the novice)

    Bills…… Till I Die !!!!!!!!!

CYO basketball game. Got the scores from my dad who was listening to the game on my Walkman.

  6. I heard a rumor that he will be changing his name back to Johnson. Do you know what kind of problems that's going to cause for Stevie's jersey sales? This just can't happen.

According to Wiki, Peerless Price is currently a free agent. Three times the charm?!?!?!

  7. Stevie blew off his weekly Monday show on WGR this week and was supposed to make it up today at 4 pm, he is once again a no show.

When he has been on this season, he calls from a cell phone without any reception and he cuts out time after time again. Instead of learning from his mistakes and calling from a land line, he continued to call from a bad cell.

Is stint on WGR this season and today shows just how immature and unprofessional he is in my opinion.

Name 10 people you know who still own a landline...

Fitzgerald ..... in the last two seasons have 155 catches ..... Stevie 150 .....

Fitzgerald ....in the last two season ....13tds ..... Stevie 12tds

Fitzgerald has more yards and yards per catch...but they are in two different system with two different type of qb's .....

But I agree don't pay Stevie...let him walk...because he is immature and doesn't show up autograpgh signings

Interesting. He should walk because he missed one autograph signing at a car dealership?

  8. They know for a fact that he missed

that !@#$in' field goal on purpose.

    That he got paid money

and he missed it on purpose, okay ?

    That mother!@#$. That mother!@#$.

    l wonder how much.

l wonder how much that mother!@#$

got paid to ruin my !@#$in' life.

Is this from Buffalo 66 or are you a raving lunatic?

I'm guessing he doesn't stop thinking about it either. I say we all hug it out and get on with our lives. Finally let ourselves look ahead and enjoy the way our team is now performing. Those years are over. The future is now. Let it go.

For what it's worth, I hear he's a good guy.

  9. You can argue with them alot. But if our defense is improved, I'll buy 13-3, why not? I freakin' love this team.

Why why why why why why why? Really, WHY? Why does everyone think the Cowboys have a chance? They are AWFUL.

Road game. Otherwise, I agree. The Cowboys get more credit than they deserve each year.

  10. AS a coach I will say that if anyone thinks profanity is not used in just about ANY high school locker room then they are kidding themselves......

Here are my thoughts....I have no problem with the cussing....but as a football coach you cannot just lose it and go off because it doesnt focus on any real things that are going on in a game for instance....

"I am tired of living with this @hit" or whatever he said or "go XXXking play golf"

    instead

"I am tired of watching watching XXXXXXX offensive linemen picking up their own QB off the ground on every play....STOP LETTING defenders shoot gaps on you......HOLD if you have to.....but I dont want to see the QB with mud in his facemask one more XXXXXXXing time in this game!Or something like that.

That's the most intelligent use of explitives I have ever seen.

  11. Trade doesn't look very good at all tonight, but I can't blame the Raiders for trying to upgrade at QB. Jason Campbell is still trash, a chump and a loser... he most likely would've been gone this off-season even without the injury.

I live in DC. Campbell was not a great QB out here, but he was a pretty classy guy and he was on a miserable skins team that is in constant transition. He's done OK in Oakland.

  12. I'm not sure the OP is saying that Florence is the ONLY reason we lost, but you can't overlook those penalties when you lose by a field goal. He plays a cleaner game, maybe we win, who knows. One thing is for sure, we can't count on Fitz to throw three or four touchdowns every game to overcome our defensive issues (and he will have a few bad throws along the way). Same with Freddie. Good news is, if the offense keeps performing as it is, we may be able to spare some picks to repair the issue.

  13. You hit the nail on the head. Freddy doesn't have the bumps and bruises your average NFL RB has. As "skibum" said, we have an extremely rare player on our hands here. There aren't many running backs in the history of this game that were able to start their career this late. And especially at such a high level without an injury history.

Guys like Thurman Thomas were banged up from the wear and tear of the NFL. He literally played without an ACL throughout much of his career. And he still made it 13 years. Emmit Smith made it 15 years and endured a broken shoulder blade and lots of bumps, bruises, and blows to the head.

This thread wasn't meant to talk about just Freddy in particular. But if you were to ask me if I would sign him to a 3 year deal at a much higher salary, I would say YES without question. Currently his deal looks like this - 2011: $1.75 million, 2012: $1.83 million, 2013: Free Agent. I would give him a reworked contract through 2014 worth about $6 million per year. And only guarantee about $15 million of it. This is similar to Frank Gore's new deal, and that guy has a massive injury history with significantly greater risk than Freddy. Seems like a no brainer to me.

I agree. And I hope so...my Fiancee bought me his jersey this year. I'd hate to toss it in the Takeo Spikes pile.
