I had read that people are accepting because America is a free country and everyone (read Beasley) is entitled to choose. Agreed. However, playing in the NFL is a privilege enjoyed by an elite few (read Beasley and his buddies). It seems to me that whenever an elite group is afforded such a privilege, the group has arguable an ethical if not moral obligation to his peers. That seems a small price to pay for membership in this elite group.

McD values team leadership and culture a lot as we have seen. I think that is part of why Frank Gore is here. IF and that is a big IF, Shady can develop into the type of leader that the soon to be gone Lorax is, then I could see him being back. If he can't, or won't, then bye bye Shady and thanks for the memories.

Tyrod did not follow his progressions or trust them the way Brady does. If Tyrod had that ability/confidence, then he would have been better and would still be here. Perhaps MCCarron or Peterman or the potential draftee do.

I would prefer to trade Lawson. Draft picks can provide young talent at a cap friendly cost that lets you build a quality team and still get the high ticket players that hopefully push you over the top.

Hopefully the Bills will be like the Cowboys of old or the Steelers, where they find a great GM/Coach combo and ride that duo for the ultra long haul. Both of those teams had tremendous success doing just that. Plus them sticking around means that the Bills are long-term successful. Go Bills!!
