buddy nix use to work under 1st the late john butler, then AJ smith. In there 1st draft with the chargers they took ladanian tomlinson instead of vick. then drafted drew brees... Nix is doing exactly what he has learned. Expect mccoy or clausen in the second. Then build the line... Spiller is our best 1st rd pick in yrs.. a value pick.... there maybe light at the end to this tunnel
-
dream scenario is eric berry falls to us at 9 and we can trade down to a team that really covets Berry. Then take the best lineman available. then see about trading our extra picks to get mccoy... If we cant trade down we must take clausen.
-
this is a huge mistake.. we need all of our picks. trading back into the 1st for a guy like tebow will set this organization back even more ie losman, and mccargo trades. we must keep all our picks or trade down for more. BPA is the way this team needs to draft... Every player we take in the first 3 rds could potenially strongly boost this team if done correctly

well he actually probably would have been the starter over Flacco, but came down with some sickness where he loss a bunch of weight and was out for like 6wks. The guys not a bad QB and is mobile. For only a 5th rounder its well worth it+1 -
You got it. Campbell soup. Why try to make chicken soup out of chicken shitz. We have already 3 at the same talent level. People on here are ready to jump on the next reject from somewhere else. When in reality its the same as we already have. If we don`t draft a QB . Then let the 3 fight it out. Why waste time and money on something we already have.
If you think JC is the same talents as TE or RF you know nothing about football. JC is a pretty decent QB and with a consistant offensive scheme for once in his career he could be a good QB... JC has better stats then TE and the redskins talent wise are pretty much on the same level as the bills on the offensive side of the ball... a 4th rd pick for campbell is a steal. should be done today

this would be a big mistake to trade lynch. You need two rbs. FJ is 29 lynch is only 24... people were complaining when i suggested trading Lee Evans. Lynch is way more valuable to this team than evans. with no QB on this team we need to be able to run the ball. jackson and lynch are a perfect combo. A trade of lynch is going to create a huge hole in the offense.. Terrible mistake if this happens.

haha my fault. yes back into the 1st, back into the 2nd
-
whats can the bills do to get back into the 1st round, or back into the top 15 of the 2nd round

Ask San Diego
we got buddy nix, not AJ Smith... AJ is the mastermind behind the chargers... Nix was nothing more than a marty ass kisser. please know what your talking about

Im so sick of garbage thinking like this,,, quit responding like we still have the same old regime. If Nix's resume pans out the way we all hope then his "IF" points are valid. If Nix and co fail then you can continue to depress the members of this forum.
his resume??? you had no idea who nix was before he was hired? what exactly is his resume. what has he done cause i would love to know

Gonna call this as I see it without getting carried away: This is one of the most idiotic posts I have read this off-season!!
Lee Evans is one of the few bright spots we have on the team, along with Brian Moorman, Jarius Byrd, and Fred Jackson!!
We don't need to create a hole where there isn't one either. We have enough holes..
and yes I agree 6-10 is about where the Bills probably will be this year..I actually have predicted 5-11 depending how the draft works out. With good drafting and a couple of good mid-range FA signings I expect the team to be 8-8 in 2011 (If there's not a lockout!)...and for 2012 based on gradual improvement which is purely a guess at this point I'll predict 10-6. Normally a team who shifts from the 4-3 to the 3-4 has a very poor initial year after the change in defensive philosophy goes into effect. So I expect this..but I think the 3-4 defense will eventually help us against our division foes which will greatly enhance our prospects of winning once the defensive unit gels and fully understands the 3-4.
Idiotic post really? IF we have a good draft. IF we sign some free agents. 2011 u think 8-8? 1st off the bills havent drafted well, nor have they signed any good free agents in a decade.. second u predict itll be 2012 before the bills compete for playoff spot, and at this point how good do u think lee evans will be? Itll be the end of his contract as well as the tail end of his career. you trade him now get his high vaule so that by 2012 we have the players to do well.. Talk about idiotic post.

Bills should draft Doug Worthington between rds 5-7. Chances are he wont be a stud, but could be help at depth at DE since were moving to 3-4. Plus him being a local kid helps a little bit. Same goes for bringing Roosevelt at UDFA or a 7th rd pick. Could be a decent slot receiver
-
No we shouldn't trade Kyle Willams or Lee Evens. you build around your best players, unless they are TO.
If we build this team around a WR then the bills wont be going anywhere. You build a team from the inside out... Top WR are the last piece to the puzzle
-
he doesnt stand a chance in making the team. He is not a very good RB. But you need guys to take reps in practice. Hes nothing more than a minicamp guy. Good chance he doesnt even see a preseason game
-
I dont feel right now we could get a 1 either. But, if a team cant get the WR they want in the 1st rd this yr LE trade value goes up potenially having a team to give us a 1 next yr. We need as many picks as possible over the next two years to make this team better.
-
IMO we should trade Lee Evans for a 1st rd pick in next years draft. This team is far from bein any good, and by the time we are any good lee will be at the tail end of his career. I know everyones going to say "who are we going to throw the ball to then"? my answer it doesnt matter the Bills are an at best 6-10 football team for the next 2-3yrs. So get the value while we can
-
I feel that we need either Bradford Clausen or McCoy... I believe McCoy can be a winner, and do well in the NFL is it worth trading back into the second round, say give up williams to a team for him. Or do we gamble wait till our pick in the 3rd and hope hes there.if hes gone then just wait till next year to Draft Locker

offer donte whitner or a third round pic to Baltimore for Gaither ( seems no one is biting on sending a second). then based on what Baltimore chooses, send a fourth or whitner to St. Louis for Alex Barron. It sures up our line, and i dont see a need for whitner any more. Leaves RDs one and two open for other big needs. Dline qb etc..
-
Wouldn't mind taking a flier on Starks late in the draft especially if we ship Lynch's sorry ass to the Chargers for Cromartie and their 4th rounder.
NO way chargers take a thug like lynch... Roosevelt will be a 6th rounder or FA.. Im real high on Starks....

This coming up Draft Doug Worthington OSU/St.Francis Namaan Rosevelt UB/ St.Joes Mike Williams Syracuse/Amherst Rob Gronkowski Arizon/ Williamsville James Starks UB/ Niagra all have a really good chace at getting drafted in this years draft. This is a pretty big accomplishment for any area especially WNY. Kudos to them all
Buddy Nix's first draft with San Diego...
