  1. Beckham'a a lot better that's why. He has leaping ability and body control that give him the "open when covered" quality Sammy doesn't have. He's also a much better route runner.

    Real educated opinion....

Sammy has all of those things. Beckman may have a little MORE of each of those qualities but who is his QB? Eli Manning and his two rings!!! Put ODB on the Bills and he is having the same year Watkins had.

  2. Long time listener, first time caller.

Schopp was insufferable today on the post-game. He was a jerk to everyone that called in. He insisted that the win somehow shouldn't count against the Pats AFC home win streak because the Pats "chose" not to win (totally disregarding that they lost the 1st half with Brady) but never considered that the Pats have won several similar games during that streak. So the wins count for the Pats streak, but the loss in a similar situation shouldn't? What a d*ck. Then he says he doesn't want to discuss whether or not the game meant anything, but keeps resetting the point on his own.

The game may have not meant anything, but how many of these "meaningless" week 17 games have we gone out and gotten crushed? How did you feel after those games? I don't feel like we won the Superbowl today, but it beats a kick in the nuts. Schopp apparently would have preferred the kick.

Give me Sal any day, at least you can have a discussion.

He is a jerk sometimes to callers and that is by far his worst quality. However, he is def right about this win not counting against the streak that the pats had against us. Yes, Brady played in the first half but do you really think he was trying? We're talking about a first ballot hall of famer. Maybe the best to ever do it. This win was a B.S. win from Marrone and Co. and I still consider the streak to be alive. Look at all the inactives for the pats and rethink your opinion here...

  3. He's one of the best Cs in the NFL. He is surrounded by dog poo and plays for a terrible OC. He's not even close to being a problem.

I'm not denying that the guard play around him has been bad. But to say he is one of the best center's in the league is bull. Show me the stats on that if you want to make that point. I just think that the center piece of our line needs to be better than he has been.

  4. I, like most of you maybe, use to really like him. He said all the right things, took shots at opposing players to get the fans fired up, etc. But to hear his somber voice on WGR after every pathetic loss is sickening. On top of that, I'm also tired of seeing him get smoked by DT's on every single ALL-22 that comes out. He's not really a good player and he symbolizes the losing culture of this team. I think he needs to go and someone needs to come in here and find some talent for this O-line.

How long can we continue to blame our RB's and QB's when we can't get anything going? This line is brutal and it starts with the guys who have no stones. Get some hard nosed nasty MF'ers to come in here and change the culture of this team.

  5. The kid has played thru injuries all year, no durability issues. He is the real deal. Has amazing hands, is strong, and runs NFL routes as a rookie.

Amazing hands. Except that he has dropped some pretty easy balls this year. I really like him but I would give him like a 7 right now. This may have already been said by someone in these 200 different comments, but I'm still waiting to see him jump up over someone and catch a ball. Literally all of his catches are uncontested!

I worry because he has yet to haul one in when their is a defender all over him. I've been seeing the other rookies doing it all year.

  6. From Yahoo Sports power rankings:

    16. Buffalo Bills (7-5, LW: 18)

The defense is really good. I just don’t see how they get into the playoffs, which is a shame

Okay listen. Its been a decade and a freaking half, and the Bills are once again on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoff picture. With that said, there is no reason we should not be in the driver seat right now. I'll do my best to exlain why.

Our defense is top 3 in the league. No if-ands-buts about it. We literally win games because of our defense. We all know the defensive stats. They have been drilled into our heads all year, usually paired with the mentioning of our crap offense. The only reason I don't say we are #1 is because we haven't done it against good QB's. That is why this Sunday cannot come soon enough. We get after The Sheriff and put up 25 points, we have a real decent shot on upsetting the Broncos and gaining some notoriety in this league.

Kyle Orton is not the answer. But he CAN make throws in this league. Nate Hackett needs to be doing everything he can to exploit the defenses in our remaining four games. Let's go Nate, prove your worth in the NFL. Exploit the weaknesses! Robert Woods is looking like an absolute stud and Sammy Watkins is bound to have a few more big games. As far as the run game, maybe Fred is getting healthier and provide a lift. Neither of these defenses we face in the next four weeks are elite. I believe ours is on the cusp, pending we show up against Manning, Rodgers, Brady. We are not going to beat all three, but can you sit here and tell me we can't compete with this defense we have? Crazier things have happened in this league. I can see images in my head of Brady roundhouse kicking water coolers on the Pats sideline on December 28th as we speak.

I love this team as much as most of you do, and I just hope we can figure out some sort of game plan on offense before the season ends, and we lose some of these guys on our defense. *Cough cough Jerry Hughes*. Schwartz is probably going to get a head coaching job after this year also. How many of you thought he would be an improvement over Pettine?

Here's to hoping we can find some way to sneak into the playoffs this year. It's not going to be easy but it can be done. Go Bills.

  7. I feel for the guy too. Remember back in the day when QB's drafted in the first round sometimes held a clip board and learned for a while? EJ is a prime example of a kid who might have benefited from this. I wish nothing but the best for EJ.

ie. Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers. those guys weren't supposed to be any better than EJ coming out of college. but they were able to learn under veteran QB's and take it all in. (Bledsoe, Favre). I love the Bills just as much as the next guy but we really screwed up taking this guy so early and tossing him into games. Hopefully he can use this as fuel to get better.

  8. i never said cut him. I simply don't want to resign him when he's due. And if you can get anything for the guy in a trade, you take it.

ah... The "need to get him in space" argument. How about he's had chances and he picks the wrong way to go?

hes just not as good as you think he is.

how many screens has he gotten this year? like 4? he had a breakout year when chan gave him 4 PER GAME. hackett is a bald pinhead and he's the issue. not spiller.

  9. F' him, the guy was signed for millions of dollars and then he crapped the bed for the Bills and their fans. That pre game speech angers me because I seriously don't know why this failure, who was given so much money for so little in return, is the one who's pissed at the team that gave him all that money and set him and his family up for the rest of his life. His anger apparently comes from a misguided fairy tale of epic proportions inside his head.

lol really dude? the bills gave him all that money because WE thought he was the one. The Bills are at fault there, not him. Then Houston signed him to probably be a backup and he ended up starting because they have nothing else. I'm sure he intended to get paid and then "crap the bed". give me a break man....he never deserved that money in the first place.

  10. The worst thing that happened to him is the Buffalo Bills picking him 1-2 rounds early and throwing him into the fire. He needed to get drafted by a team with an established QB and learn under that guys wing. He's not a starter in this league yet, and this is good for him to take a step back and LEARN. Who know's if he will be here long term, but if he can improve his game, he could make a decent career.

  11. i 100% agree with this...i will be livid if spiller is re-signed....he has no vision...one hit and he is down....not a good rb

you've gotta be kidding me. He does need to go through the tackles more but this guy is so slouch. he can break it at any moment and we just need to get him in space more. it's week 5-relax. you don't think kyle orton knows how to utilize a guy like that?

I will say that i would love to see brown in here more. maybe only five carries a game but come on - give him SOMETHING. all of this "spiller sucks" talk needs to stop.

  12. The Chargers are a different team this year. Rivers has been pretty damn good and Keenan Allen has continued to be consistent in the passing game. Oh yeah, Gates had 3 td's last week and is showing that he obviously still can get it done. Mathews is hurt but remember Danny Woodhead? Who is gonna cover him? It's gonna be a tough game for us and i think our run game has to be stellar and EJ just has to make some good throws when he needs to. I'm not too worried about their defense because I believe in Hackett's game plan from week to week.

  13. Ok, so everyone knows what stadiums get the loudest and who has the best fans and all of that jazz. The Seahawks and Chiefs both had record setting decibel levels last year, but do the Bills have a chance this Sunday to challenge that? The Ralph is always rocking for the opener, but as we all know, this one is going to be different.

I would love to see a Bills win and have sportscenter talking about how the Ralph broke records for being so loud. Basically I'm just so hyped up for this game and can't wait to hear the deafening sound of the crowd on Miami's first third down.
