The Buffalo Bills now have the biggest Wang in the NFL. Go Hokies!

Because he sucks and the more reps we give to the bum the more quality reps taken from the guy that should be our starter (note: who isn't on our roster yet). The guy suck, seen enough of him, time to move on.
I am an optimist but there are some I would not count Trent Edwards out at all. He's mobile, moderate arm strength, but all and all he makes decent decisions. His biggest problem is timing and injury problems, which a good offensive staff can work with. Obviously a good offensive line is the most important. He is very accurate for his career; over 60%, check down or not, its not easy to be this accurate in the NFL. With one year left on his contract he deserves a chance to prove himself. San Diego had given up on Drew Brees and his numbers until his last 2 years in San Diego were no better than Trent's. The last thing I'd like to see is Trent Edwards go to a team and make an impact after we gave up on him, aka Pat Williams, Greer, Winfield, Clements, Hargrove, Leonard, Bannan, etc. We can still draft another QB or bring someone else in to compete. Trent actually seemed to play better when he had JP Losman to compete with.
First 3 years in the league.
Trent Edwards, 32 Games, 61% Completion %, 24 TD's to 25 Int, 77.9 Rating (games played each year 10, 14, 8)
Drew Brees, 28 Games, Approx 58% Completion %, 28 TD's to 31 Int, Approx 70 Rating. (games played each year 1, 16, 11)

Wow, I guess people can't read? I said trade EVANS for MARSHALL
How is trading Evans for Marshall leaving any holes?
Here are the stats for Evans and Marshall:
Evans stats
2009: 44 Rec, 612 yds, 7 TDs
2008: 63 Rec, 1017 yds, 3 TDs
2007: 55 Rec, 849 yds, 5 TDs
2006: 82 Rec, 1292 yds, 8 TDs
2005: 48 Rec, 743 yds, 7 TDs
2004: 48 Rec, 843 yds, 9 TDs
Marshall's stats:
2009: 101 Rec, 1120 yds, 10 TDs
2008: 104 Rec, 1265 yds, 6 TDs
2007: 102 Rec, 1325 yds, 7 TDs
2006: 20 Rec, 309 yds, 2 TDs
It's clear that Marshall can produce consistently. Even with the Broncos going from Cutler to Orton, Marshall's numbers didn't drop off much. I'd much rather have Marshall than Evans.
I like Marshall's talent but we would still need another WR to compliment him. Denver had a better Defense, O-Line and QB than we did last year and with all of Marshall's production they were 8-8. On top of that, Brandon Marshall is one more off the field issue away from a league suspension. We could then end up with no one. The Buffalo Bills need to add talent not trade player for player.

those guys and wilfork will give us a sick 34 and let us draft TE/WR and LT in the first 2 (obv LT being top slot). that would be huge. porter and maybin/aaron shoble on the outside, and thomas and poz in the middle, w williams and stroud at DE and vince in the gut would be just beastly
I don't know why we are still drafting TE and WR when we haven't developed the ones that we have. No TE or WR will come in and demand a double team to pull pressure off of Lee Evans which is what we need. Wilfork or a Casey Hampton addition would be crucial. Adalius Thomas has not looked nearly as "beastly" since leaving Ray Lewis' side and I would not invest more than a year on Joey Porter...if we are trying to get an impact OLB we need to do everything we can to pull Merriman away from San Diego or find a younger player. It looks like he has worn out his welcome there.

well.....have fun watching the ACC West there, Slippy!
There are enough bad comedians out there. If you are going to post and pretend to have college football knowledge at least take the time to learn your conferences. It's ACC Coastal or ACC Atlantic.

Our pass rush was not good, but don't knock Dareus. Dareus played 2 different positions in a 3/4 DL. 3/4 D-linemen do not get a lot of sacks. Dareus had I believe 43 tackles and 5.5 sacks. Ndamakong Suh for example who everyone is saying is one of the best DT in the game had 36 tackles and 4 sacks. Granted Suh missed two games, Dareus's numbers were comparable and he was in a defense that doesn't allow DT and D-Ends the chance to make as many plays.
