  1. Here's a few opinions on the subject:
    Definitely Available Options
Glennon – Young with potential, new regime made him obsolete, would like as a #2 option
Hoyer – Don’t think he has the skills to move this team forward, too much $$?
Locker – Injury, not very good, probably just stick with EJ
Butt Fumble – I could see this happening, but I cringe at it coming together
    Schaub – Fitzpatrick/Trent 2.0
Matt Moore – Journeyman, did not do well with Carolina
Bo Levi Mitchell – An option, would be quite risky but I like the gumption of the move

    Likely Available Options
Bradford – Injury Prone, they may stick with him next year, $$ issues
Cutler – Has just been a downward spiral as of late. Could benefit with a change of scenery
Manziel - Headache, Lack of Talent
RGIII or Cousins – I don’t think Cousins is talented enough, and RGIII is a bit of a headache

    Unlikely Options
Kaepernick - $$ issues, finished worse than Bills this year
Eli Manning – No regime change so likely not moving, INT machine

    Pipe-Dreams
Drew Brees – Old, team with terrible cap problems, still likely not going to move from Sean
Phillip Rivers – Old, cannot win in big games, unlikely to want to leave
Matt Ryan – New regime could want to start fresh,

    Player I want:
    Solomon Elimimian
    Peter Man

  3. Seeing we have more upside and support at home I'm liking our later season road schedule. What looked daunting at the beginning of the year now seems a bit more manageable:

    @0-4 Pittsburgh

    @0-4 Tampa Bay

    @0-4 Jacksonville

None of these games are gimmies, on the other hand it's good to see upcoming teams struggling early in the season. Can the home schedule combined with these road games = a winning record?

  4. I'm talking about Dline play only not overall.......

    Matchups:

Least sacked team vs middle of the road sack total

Low sack total team with D scheme overhall and 2 FA starters vs 13th in sacks allowed Oline

I would still give the bills an edge even though jets have been a top 5 d and been to the afc champ game 2 out of 3 years

I'm not sure how someone can be this biased. It is indeed possible the Jets Dline does better on Sunday but someone so vehemently defending them as being better than their counterpart has to be trolling in some way ... right? (And I by no means think the Bills are the be-all-end-all, in fact far from it)

Reminds me of a Pats thread the other day where the consensus was that the season and the team will be a complete failure (and a rebuild is in order) if they don't win the Superbowl.

  6. Hey all! I'm going to Buffalo today with my brother and father to see the Bisons play and I'm just wondering if you could recommend any places to eat after the game? I've been to Anchor Bar before and was thinking of giving Duff's in Amherst a try.

    Thanks!

  7. Wilfork will be franchised.

I believe he's said that he would sit out if they tried to use it on him.

There is no way that the Broncos let go of their best defensive player, with how much they have tried to get that defense right. They finally got a sack artist, they won't let him go. <_<

This coming from a team that fired their very good DC only to have him be picked up mintues later? I'm not too sure, this could be another Marshall situation.

Merriman could probably be had, if he decides he wants a change of scenery. :wallbash:

Agreed I think he's gone; definitely haveable

I highly doubt the Chargers would let go of their franchise tackle...I mean, what kind of team does THAT?

There are a couple tackles that work well in this spot not just McNeil.

Elvis does not go anywhere but Denver. Merriman is terrible and a cheater with a bad attitude. (what has he done since being of the juice)

You'd rather have a Safety starting at the 4th LB position? Merriman is still better than all the Bills LB.

Evans Hardy and Johnson. So back to our offense that everyone was complaining about that has no playmakers on it...

This is assuming the Bills try and go the D-first and Run-second route to winning a la Jets or Baltimore. I think it could work with this D. Besides look how well TO did, bringing in a downfield threat with a new rookie QB isn't going to help the

    O at all.

You do not want much ?

Three players isn't a ton. Just gotta bust out that wallet!

  8. Here's my wishlist for next year. Assuming the Bills switch to 3-4.

    NT - Wilfork

    DT - Williams, Stroud

LB - Mitchell, Poz, Ellison, and either Merriman or Dumervil

    CB - McGee, McKelvin

    FS - Byrd

    SS - Wilson

OT - McNeill, and someone via draft

    OG - Wood, Levitre

    C - Hangartner

    TE - Nelson

    RB - Jackson

    FB - McIntyre

WR - Evans, Johnson or Hardy

    QB - Someone via draft

So the plan would be to get Wilfork and either Merriman or Dumervil via FA. This would make for quite a scary 3-4. I would actually want to watch this team play (though I doubt it will happen).

On the other side of the ball adding McNeill and trading up in the draft (Lynch anyone?) to get a good OT like Russell Okung or Trent Williams would make for a very promising, good young core.

I don’t think QB’s will be as highly coveted in this year’s draft. There should be a couple very good QB’s still available in the 2nd round. (Seeing how amazingly well Stafford, Sanchez, and Freeman did this year.... /sarcasm)

The problem with this plan (even though it drastically improves the team) is that it actually costs $$. Knowing the Bills they will draft another DE, keep Trent, pick up no free agents, and scratch their heads wondering why they continue to struggle....
