  1. I think CJ has taken major steps this season, but he still isn't a complete back and I kinda like keeping the defense on their toes splitting the carries. I know Fred fumbled the first play of the game sunday, but he is still less likely overall to fumble on a big hit then CJ is. I like the splitting but it still seems like Gailey could use them better, for example, I would never have CJ in when it is down at the 1 or 2 yard line and you are running up the gut, he is too small and takes too big of hits doing that (see the end of the first half against the Pats). Fred has much more power, better up the gut, but he isn't as quick as CJ and isn't as big a threat in open field. That said, I really like when they have both of them in the backfield, really keeps the defense from playing towards one strength and they have to be prepared for either one of them. Not to mention, all backs can get hurt, and CJ is certainly no exception to that, especially since he is so small, splitting carries will help in keeping the both as healthy as possible.

I have to disagree with this. CJ is averaging 7.6 YPC while FJ is only averaging 2.9. According to Jeremy White this morning, CJ is averaging 9.1 YPC when running between the tackles. As far as size, FJ is 6-1, 216 and CJ is 5-11, 200. That is not a huge difference. Spiller should get 20-25 touches per game and Fred should be used a a change of pace only.

  2. Thanks for your insight as well. It closely mirrors that of Phil Hansen Forever above. I'll ask you the same question I had for him: did your doctors mention that the artificial materials used to re-attach the tendon actually make it stronger than before, more durable?

    GO BILLS!!!

They reattach the tendon by drilling small holes into the heel bone and use plastic sutures to tie it back in. I'm not sure about their strength versus actual tendon strength but I have had no ill effects.

  3. I had this exact same surgery a few years ago. I had a bone spur that was rubbing on my achilles tendon and they did detach it and reattach it after shaving down the spur. I am far from a professional athlete but I can say that about 3-4 months after the surgery and extensive PT I was moving much better then I was before. I'm able to play pickup basketball and run and cut without any pain or loss of range of motion. I'm amazed he could play football with that condition because I could barely walk before surgery without a very noticeable limp. He will be fine since I'm sure he has had the opportunity to rehab even more than I did.

  4. The Problem being that we don't have any DBs. McGee is icing his knee, Florence is a FA trying to coach UFL, Youbouty is a FA, McKelvin is busy boning up on his Baby Einstein videos. Reggie Corner and Byrd might be able to stop. That be cool if Aaron Williams and Reggie Corner showed up.

That made me LMAO! Great Post!

  5. They'll trade Kolb more than likely...I can't see how they are going to be able to keep Kolb OK with being #2 for another Year...He can start for a whole bunch of NFL Teams today...They're going to back-up a Pick-up truck full of cash and dump it on Vick's driveway...The Eagles are going to want a bit for Kolb...A #1 for sure I imagine...Should be interesting...I would not be surprised to see Minnesota and San Fran go hard after Kolb... B-)

If both are free agents at the end of the year, how can they trade Kolb?

  6. I just heard Bulldog say on WGR that the reason the he thinks that Maybin didn't dress is because "he straight up sucks". It actually made me laugh. He also made the point that Maybin may have excelled in college due to his freakish athleticism and that he in fact has no clue how to play the game. I would have to agree with that assessment. The guy can't even cover kicks on special teams.

  7. ...if we play more 4-3 against Baltimore? Davis or Poz?

For that matter, who starts at the 2 OLB spots? Kelsay and Moats? Coleman and Ellison? Maybin and Torbor?

Does anybody who was at last week's game have any insight?

From what it says in today's paper, it looks like Troupe replaces Torbor. That means Kelsay, Poz and Davis at LB.

  8. 10 Easy ways to Fix the Bills.

    1. Trade Marshawn Lynch to Packers straight up for AJ Hawk. addition by subtraction, prompote Joique Bell from Paractice squad, start Hawk ASAP, rotate Fred Jackson, Spiller, Bell as a backup. A huge upgrade at LB.

    2. Trade for Vincent Jackson, offer San Diego what they want, with him & Evans, you got 2 very good receivers.

    3. Trade for Haynesworth and start him as an end, we have no pash rush and he will fix that.

    4. Trade for and sign Mankins from the Pats, start him at right guard, move Wood to right tackle and the New guy to Left Tackle, they will be able to run the football and will be much improved. Without any line upgrade, you have no way of knowing if your QB is the guy or not.

The Bills may not make any trades let alone four. #2, 3, and 4 will never happen. #2 SD will want way more than the Bills can afford. #3 Haynesworth is a 4-3 DT and we need 3-4 OLB. If #4 implies having Cornell Green or Cordero Howard play LT, your posting privelages should be revoked.

  9. kobe isnt even the best player in the league right now, lebron is.......and magic johnson is the best player ever. take 8 scrubs, give four to jordan, four to magic.........magics team will win.....

Unless one of Magic's 4 scrubs is a lock down defender, Jordan's team wins by a ton. There is no way Magic could guard Jordan.

  10. OLT Brown

    OLG Simmons

    C Allen

ORG winner of Wood, Levitre, and everyone else

    ORT Saffold

You want to start 4 rookies and 1 second year player on the OL this year? I'm pretty sure whoever starts at QB will be on IR by the 2nd quarter of week one. Hangartner had a decent year at center and Levitre and Wood both played well as rookies. Butler should have a chance to compete for ORT with whom ever the Bills bring in. The key is going to be a competent OLT, probably at #9.
