    Have you ever been to a Super Bowl?

    The first Cowboys SB. My ex sold a boat to a Vikings lineman. We live in Az and he played at ASU.  All players back then got 2 tickets. He didn’t care to go so he only asked face value for them. $150. 
    We fly to LA without tickets. His agent puts his secretary on a plane and she gets to our meeting spot at will call 5 minutes before kickoff. 
    We got to see the famous folks get their tickets at will call. Bo Jackson, Jim Harbaugh and Dennis Rodman among them. 

    I killed myself by halftime.

    True. I was there. SoFi could be the 8th wonder of the world, with a AAA baseball team experience. Very few Charger fans, horrendous PA announcer. If only they showed replays on the $40,000,000 Jumbotron. They didn’t. 
    I’ve been to two Bills games in San Diego. Crap stadium, excellent experience. 
    San Diego deserves them back.

    There’s a huge tailgate party in the parking lot of Cork and Batter. Across the street from SoFi. Visit the Los Angeles Bills Backers on Facebook. Ticket is required for entrance. Parking not included.

    We are driving in from Phoenix on Friday. Glad the Chargers don’t have any fans. 3rd level tickets $61 each. 
    Anybody going to the Bills bash at Baja Sharkeez in Hermosa Beach Friday night?  
    Are there other Bills parties on Friday night?

    I’ll try it out on my next drive to St. George.  Utah isn’t on board with sports betting.  Hopefully that’ll change at some point 🙏🏻 

    This does work. We were driving from SLC to Vegas. Once we got out of the Virgin River canyon in Az. cell service was great and my wife was able to place her MLB bets on Draft Kings without stopping. 29 miles of the Interstate is in Az.

    I did the same with my daughters college email. $79.99 for the entire season. They streamed all the final preseason games to work the bugs out. I’m pleasantly surprised that the streaming picture is much better than the picture through Directv satellite.  

    Sunday Ticket update

    I called three days ago. I told her I’ll need to cancel as I can’t afford $396 for Sunday Ticket Max. She told me to hold while she checked on some offers. I was very optimistic. She comes back and tells me there’s nothing she can do. To save face, I cancelled Sunday Ticket. She made no attempt to keep me. I had planned on crawling back next week. 

     

    I began researching Sunday Ticket streaming for students. My daughter is in college here in Phoenix and has an .edu email. I went to sign up as a student with only her name, college name and birthdate. Didn’t ask for actual email address. I guess there’s a student clearinghouse which verifies students. Success!  The only thing is you need a different email than your previous ST account. $79.99 for the YEAR includes Red Zone. Use coupon code BACKTOSCHOOL. I installed the ST app on Apple TV (you can watch on any device). As a bonus I got last nights game free as they use the final preseason game to work out bugs. You can only watch on one device at a time so the college kid that lets you use their info must not like football. 

     

    An added bonus is the streaming picture is much better than my satellite picture ever was.

    Early 90's Phoenix, just before the first Dallas Superbowl, my ex wife sold a boat to one of the Vikings who's agent was Bruce Allen. Bruce was with him when he bought the boat and the ex says "how bought some super bowl tickets if the Bills get in again".

    Bruce says call him. A few weeks later we fly to LA and meet Bruce and Gary Horton at a bar in Redondo Beach. Bruce was tight with the Raiders and I had a few too many and asked if the reason Al Davis doesn't let Marcus Allen play is because they are both gay and had a falling out. Bruce laughs and says Marcus is a man whore, not gay.

     

    Anyway, Bruce ends of swiping Super Bowl tickets from one of his clients and we got them at face value.
