  1. Actually one of the posters here from TSW posted about being in a club in New York I think when Brohm, Edwards and someone else, I don't remember who, and this wasn't word for word, but the jest of it was they thought Brohm might have a drinking problem because while Trent Edwards seemed the life of the party and very outspoken, Brohm was quiet and kind of kept to himself and drank/ I'm assuming got drunk.

That coupled with the vibes I get from him, but like I said pretty much all pure speculation on my part.

I was at that bar and met Brohm. It a birthday party for Levitre at McFaddens in NYC right before OTAs started. And Brohm was very nice but appeared not at ease since TE was getting a lot of attention from the warpigs in attendance. Brohm's always been the man up until GB, so it was probably a bit awkard but he seemed to hang out with Levitre and he lives with Wood, so he has friends on the team.

  2. Why forget him.. he is the only one with any upside at QB. Edwards and Fitz have had years of opportunities and haven't proven anything at all. I'm still shocked Edwards is #1 on the depth chart. Save 1 pass to a wide open WR (By 10 yards mind you) and he played another game like we are all used to seeing. He has no pocket presence, looks jittery as hell, can never make a play down the field under any type of duress, always floats the ball, can't throw an out with zip.

Might as well see what Brohm could do with more reps and with the first team offense. What do we have to lose?

    Truth

  3. What exactly did Brohm do that Edwards hasn't done numerous times? He took the safe short stuff, just like Trent, and the Brohm boys are getting turned on. If you switched the names on their performances, Brohm's boys would be complaining about the QB not getting into the endzone & the numerous short throws for completions. They would have blamed Trent for no TD and having to settle for a FG before halftime. If Brohm had that long pass, they would have been anointing him the next Kelly.

Look at the Tim Graham article in another thread for an unbiased opinion of what the QBs did last night.

after the game Brohm took down Albany's girlfriend?

  4. I know the point you are trying to make is that Lee Evans was as wide open as you get in the NFL, but that doesn't mean that you or I or anyone else on this board could have made that throw.

no but any NFL QB makes that throw...and that's the throw he makes in practice too! Fitz made that throw alot to TO last year.

noticed how the announcers said that Brohm's rep is that he isn't the best practice QB but is a gamer....sounds like the exact opposite of the Captain

  5. Gailey already made excuses for Captain Checkdown on BB.com.

"I’d rather him make the right read. And I have to give him enough opportunities. If he checks it down, it’s not him, it’s me. If he throws it under four yards every time, we’re not doing the right things to get people open down the field,” said Gailey. ”So I want him to make the right reads and go to the right place. And if we’re not getting people open, then we either have to get different people or we have to create better schemes to get those guys open.”

He completely misses the fact that Trent refuses to throw past 4 yards even if the players are open espically in the redzone.

if this is true, this is very troubling
