I'm going to go ahead and draw the line in the sand and let people declare if they are on board or off with the Bills making the playoffs.
For me, I'm off board and here is why.
We just gave up over 400 yards to a team who scored 8 points last week. Oh yeah, Andy Dalton is their QB. Are you serious?
Yes, we are better than last year. No, we will not make the playoffs. We could very easily be 1-3 right now. Look at the silver lining all you want, but it took the Bills to do something that no other team has done in NFL history to get wins 2 and 3. And yes, I'll take that Pats win as my highlight of the season, but those two wins will not happen 9/10 times.
Plain and simple, the Bengals figured us out. I saw it from the very first drive where they showed Fitz one coverage, and then changed it right at the last second by moving the safeties around. We never got it going and I give it up to the Bengals for having a great scheme. But still, they were 1-2 and scored 8 points last week for a reason. They are not a good team. We did all the same things that we did for the first few weeks with run formations and spreads, and they were all over us. You think that was a fluke? No, we got manhandled and the Offense couldn't cover up for the D again this year.
Seriously, this was a Bengals offense where we didn't have to overplay the run or pass. They don't have any specific threat to be afraid of. And if you say AJ Green, I'll puke on you. He's a rookie WR and if we can't handle him, then we have bigger problems than I thought. Yet, in the end, we made them look like ProBowlers. In the end, they were running all over us, breaking tackles, making easy catches. It was pathetic.
So yeah, I'm going to draw my line in the sand and say we won't make the playoffs and will not finish over .500.
Kansas City Chiefs (won and should have)
OAKLAND RAIDERS (play it again 10 more times and we lose 9 of them)
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (Good luck getting that homefield advantage and 4ints again)
Cincinnati Bengals (Beat by a weaker team, exposed our D for who we are and gave the NFL the blueprint to beating our Offense)
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (Loss - Unless the Eagles give it away again)
New York Giants (Loss - Again, Eli would have to give it to us)
WASHINGTON REDSKINS (Win - We will win of of these previous 3, so I'll pick this one)
NEW YORK JETS - (Win - Cause we split with them usually)
Dallas Cowboys - (Loss - Because we always do, but the Cowboys do seem to lose like we did last year, so maybe)
Miami Dolphins - (Win, we are bad, they are worse)
New York Jets - (Loss, their turn to win)
TENNESSEE TITANS - (Loss, won't beat a 300+ yard QB)
San Diego Chargers - (Loss, Rivers crushes our D)
MIAMI DOLPHINS (Win, See Before)
DENVER BRONCOS (Win, Broncos are just as bad as the Dolphins, too little too late game)
New England Patriots (Loss, Pats will need this game)
Final Record 8-8 with another draft geared towards Defense with no reason to believe it will make a difference with our defensive coaching.

The Bills will play him on the Nose for the D. He was asked by his coach at Bethel to help them at that position because they were down players at that spot or just not enough tallent. I have to give him credit for getting in there and moving freaking well for a guy at 380+. which is what he played at. He weighed in at 448 in January. JFYI. He's not a guard. Go Bills!!

WTF papazoid? How can you say the Pats (barf) had a good draft? They took the kid from LSU way too early and Mallett to sit behind Brady and hold a clip board. Not to mention a Oline kid who had a 3rd round grade. Detroit, Bucs, Bungals, and yes! I think the Bills have done the best so far in the draft. Why? They haven't reached at all this year on any of the players. They have sat back and let good players come to them. They are building there D like they should. # players that will make a impact year 1. LOVE IT! Trade Maybin for a water jug and some cups. then Moats can go after the QB'S on the outside.

I know were like 27 days away from the first round but...............since you asked about our 3rd pick. I think it's not even close as to what we need. D E F E N C E !!! There is no way we should be getting a QB at 3. we have MUCH bigger needs on our team. Maybin has been a huge bust and are in dier need of a 3-4 outside pass rusher. I hope the 2 DT's we took last year can perform this (or when ever we get football back) year for us. I like Von Miller at 3!! I'm fairly confident he will be there. Let Cam and Blane go be someone els's project. If they want a kid to sit behind Fitz for a couple of years and learn wait and get Kapernick from UNR in the 3rd. Good prspect. Strong arm and can play in the cold. JMO. GO BILLS!!!

All sound like good choices. I wish I had the depth to go deap into the later rounds and pick players. I would like to see Von Miller, or Marcell Dareus at 3. Then take an OL player with our 2nd round pick. We might be able to wait for Ponder or the kid from UNR Kaepernick. Just my quick look into the draft. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!

I want Von Miller at #3!!!! If were going to try and play the hybrid version of the 3-4, 4-3. He has all the tools to play in either pass rusher and or drop back into coverage and pass defend. I also think that Chan and Buddy have a liking to Christian Ponder from Florida State. he has done a good job so far in the senior bowl and so far at the combine he has not dropped off at all. I like both of them to be able to help us. Miller next year and Ponder maybe learn a bit from Fitz for a couple of years instead of tossing another young kid into the fire right away. Go Bills!!!!

NO NO NO!!! Terrible work ethic. Poor attitude with HC. Not worth it! Unless he paid the Bills to play for them it's a bad deal. Not worth the effort. Maybe if he went to Peyton Manning's football camp he would be worth the look at QB.

He also had a shot last year in the Atlanta game. This was his second shot as a starter. Not impressed at all. Good college QB. Not a good pro Qb(so far). We didn't do a great job of protection but, he did nothing to get the ball out early and often to our WR's. Fitz is our guy!! Get over it. Lets go out and get us a MLB that scares every QB in the league. We need to find us a Ray Lewis jr.

Didn't we learn anything from the Maybin draft? One year college wonders are just a bust. I'm not saying Newton is not exciting to watch but, why would you bench Fitz and plug in a kid who more than likely cant read a pro D. yea, ha can run. So what! We finally got a QB who can keep our O in the game and have a shot at winning and you all want to just get rid of him. We need a middle LB like P Willie in SF! Poz is ok. We need someone who strikes feer in the eyes of aponenets. If we don't focus on the D next year were doomed again. JMO

We finally have some consistency at the QB spot and y'all want to get a rookie and start him over a guy who has given us a chance in almost every game he has played. WTF!!! Yea, he has had a bad game or two. If we picked Mallett, or Luck, or any other so called NFL ready QB we will be rebuilding again for another 10 years. What about Clausen? Everyone said he was ready to run an NFL offence. Hows he doing for Carolina? We need Fitz!! He gives us a real shot at winning. We need a more aggressive and dominant D. If we can get help at the LB,OLB and Safty position in the off season and maybe draft a pass rusher or two we might have a shot at 8-8 next year. Get over it!! Fitz is our guy.

How about all the people who said Fitz is just a backup QB. I knew he would be a better option than Captain Check down. but he has far exceeded my hopes at QB. If the Bills want to be relevant in the nfl over the next few year we need to lock him up long term.

Yea he"s going to be great as an outside pass rusher in our 3/4 maybe 4/3 D. We need an DE or outside pass rusher who can kill it. Fitz is doing a good job at giving us a chance. If we could have put any pressure on Cutler last week we get out of there with a W. Same in KC and Baltimore. GO for a D monster. and maybe geta qb in round 2 or 3.

They totally missed that call!! Then they blow that call trying to review the Parrish catch that was clearly out. Could have saved 40 seconds on the clock at the end of the game and maybe we wouldn't have the nedd to try and rush down the field with just over a minute. We might have had 30 seconds or more. Just my opinion
