Wow. Shocker. Guy has coached the winningest team since Marv. Yeah…let’s get rid of him.

Demanding perfection from entertainment is comical. Instant gratification at its best.

What do Marv and Sean both have in common?  They both had Elite QB play.  If Chan Gailey had Josh Allen we'd be saying the same thing about him.  The QB that one inherits plays such a huge role in a coaches "success"

Mark it down right now.  This team is going to the playoffs.  We're going to run the table and finish 11-6.  Too much adversity has hit this team over the last four years for it not to happen.  The negativity they'll hear the next two weeks will spring this team like it did in 2021 in a very similar game in Tampa.  It's always darkest before the dawn.

Funny part is that this year the adversity is self inflicted

  3. I think each and every year another chunk of the staff should be fired for the next decade until it's only Beane and McDermott left and they have a PPV cage fight match to see who stays.  Russ Brandon can take care of the marketing

I'm not debating whether or not a curse exists; the inexplicable number of bizarre incidents this team (and to a lesser extent, the Sabres) has dealt with over the decades is undeniable.

My question is when exactly did this all start?

Which curse? I feel like there's more than one now.  There was a curse before McDermott came of two decades of abysmal mediocrity and irrelevance.  He broke that curse but then blessed us with a new and different curse where we severely underachieve, lose close games,  are stunted and hampered by poor decision making, situational awareness, and strategy.

Really not in any way an indictment on Pegula.  75% of the coaches that are hired  never make it beyond their 1st contract.  So Pegula would just join a long list of other owners that are not able to predict the future and hire the wrong guy.

So yes a likely better than 50/50 he hires the wrong guy, but that's just normal in the NFL

Yeah but what are the percentages like if the new coach hire inherits an elite franchise qb?

  6. I feel like Beane has had a little more success via Free Agency/trade market and has left some room to be desired in drafting.  The difficult question to ask is how much is bad drafting vs. poor player development.   I appreciate Beane's aggressive approach in regards to the Von Contract but what made it a poor contract was his age.  If he doesn't get injured we probably aren't having this convo.  Beane and McDermott are almost opposite in philosophy. Beane seems aggressive and willing to take big swings whereas McDermott is ultra conservative/ play not to loose.  If I had to chose one, I'd take Beane
