  1. Fitz is what he is.... He can lead a good team to the playoffs, he is unlikely to string together 4 error free games that it takes to win it all. I like him a lot I'm glad he is starting for us during this period where we need strong vet leadership but I think this front office pulls the trigger on a qb if the right guy is there still. As excited as we all were - this last month was progress but not a truly changed team or qb. I pegged 6 wins- I might say 7-8 now but I still think we are middle of the pack and playing above ourselves the last couple weeks. Not harsh criticism, just my take on building a winner- which I think is happening.

Very objective ! I don't know if I'm glad that Fitz is strating for us but is better than all the Thigpens, Edwards, Losmans out there.

  2. I'll be the first to say that I love Fitz and think he's a great player and a winner. However, his inaccuracy is worrisome. He has a lot of good plays set up for him that he blows with head-scratching throws. I am honestly starting to wonder if he can fix the problem. Time is against him.

The answer is NO. He is what he is...an inaccurate QB, but he is our only option right now.

His accuracy has always been a problem and if it hasn't improved after 7 years it never will. I'll just keep saying it; Ryan Tannehill for QB.

    I'm TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU !!!! +1000000000000

  3. I don't know why i felt confident about going into today's game against the dolphins. Maybe it was the fact that i read a statement from Nick Barnett saying that he couldn't speak for the offense but on defense if it was gonna take for him to clap his hands and start screaming on the field and take a leadership role that he will, may have gotten me excited... idk... all i know is we're 5-5 and it's over... Not mathematically obviously but mentally and realistically it's over... now comes the hard part... how do we move on? The only way i see us having a successful season is pulling a win against the Jets... We still won't make the playoffs but at least i feel like we can build on a win against them... Since that probably won't happen and since we as fans can't really root for our team to lose when we watch them, I think the only thing we can do is just give up.... Seriously... Just give up... Don't buy any tickets to game, don't buy any merchandise online, no jerseys, mugs, pens, car decals, anything that brings Ralph Wilson money we should just stop buying... I know he's old but his young accountant will tell him " Mr. Wilson, this month we made 0 dollars " and maybe that will make Mr. Wilson realize that his fans are tired of this nonsense... I personally can't take this pain anymore and all i will do from now on is just watch the game at my house... I was thinking about buying tickets for the Jets game but they don't deserve my money.... I know Wilson does'nt get paid for road games but still, i just don't wanna support this team financially... spiritually i will like always but financially they have lost me as a customer... Since they call the game of football a business at the end of the day, business is nothing without customers and I think our way of getting our point across to Ralph is by not spending a single dollar on his cause anymore and see if any major changes in the year or two that's ahead of us....

I feel so angry and hopeless, so I can understand your point. But I'm a Bills fan because the team always fight to death until last second. Yes it looks like the spark it's gone but It's normal the team just crash and we look worst than Indy right now. I have to disagree with your statement of "don't spend a dollar" because I think that the only thing that would cause is to lose our team. Maybe I'm wrong but it's just my opinion.

  4. You and all the other cry baby's need to stop your complaining about Fitz. He is having a hell of a year and if you look at his stats over the last 17 games it's clear he's the best thing we've had since Jim Kelly. Mike Vick is a franchise QB, Tom Brady is a franchise QB, and Matt Cassel was a pro bowler last year. Fitz out played all 3 of them. I guess those teams need to look for another "franchise QB". Before Fitz it was dreadful to watch our offense. We couldn't even get first downs. If we were down 7 points it felt like the game was over already. You don't think Fitz is the biggest reason our line looks good. Fred jackson and Gailey's calls contribute to that but Fitz is the main reason our line has looked good. I admit Fitz had a bad game yesterday but all good Qb's play poorly, even Kelly had me cussing at times. Crap, when is the last time we had a QB knock off the Patriots... I am so tired of the whiners on here who are never happy. So to answer your stupid statement, there is a lot of doubt that we DO NOT need a franchise QB. I might change my mind after the season but from what we saw so far, that is just dumb!!!

Well we're now 5-5 outscored by a bunch of points. Do you already change your mind. Because now your reply looks pretty stupid. It's not just been negative, it's just been objective. I think today not just Fitz look awfull, the O-line is banged up with injuries. I have a lot of respect to Levitre, play all the positions is just too much for anyone. The defense is a joke, the spark is gone and Fitz accuracy is simply non existant, but we don't have any decent QB on the roster so Fitz it's the only option. It's just sad but right now we look worst than Indy. I really hope we can turn around for the next game but with so many injuries looks like the season is done.

  5. I'm not a Fitz fan, but I think he is our best option (or the only) right now. I think the defense is awful and game after game is getting worse.

Donald Jones is not a #2 receiver, I think D. Nelson is way better. Today SJ looks very diminished.

But Fred Jackson was running the ball very welll but If I remember at the 3rd Q he had just 9 carries In my opinion he should get more carries, I know we had a 21 deficit but he avg 9 ypc

Any way I think G. Edwards must be in the hotseat.

  6. I am not sure what Roosevelt did today to deserve this quote. Our 2nd WR has been non-existent. I wish Fitz would look more often to Nelson...who is at least sure handed. Spiller deserves to play more @ the #2 spot. I wish the Bills coaching staff will see that.

I wish the Bills would have game planned this...Spiller is the fastest WR on this team. When the Jets were taking away the short stuff, it was time to throw to him at least a couple of times...

What is the point of having players like Smith, Spiller, Nelson, if they cannot be part of your game plan.

I totally agree with you. I think Nelson deserves # 2 spot. He can be like Burress in his best years.

I still can't understand what $%%$$ is Brad Smith doing returning kickoffs. In fact I hate to see when he's on the field I rather look for Spiller than Brad Smith.

  7. Nope, bad logic. The two picks were horribly under thrown balls to Stevie Johnson, in single coverage match up. Both of which Stevie had a step on his man. I guess Stevie didn't emerge last year as our best WR then. Darn, I thought he was pretty good too.

Look at the Manning throw to Nicks for that big gain. If the passes to SJ were just like that at least one of them would had been TD. SJ is the real deal.

  8. yeah Fitz had a mediocre game(he did a few good things too along w the few butal mistakes and the seeming lack of focus at times).

But lets not forget his strengths. With his athleticism he can make an average O line look very good.He throws well over the middle and usually catches the player in stride so he can run. He is gutsy. He doesn't fold after making a bad play. He is probably in the top 30% of league starters in spite of his accuracy problems and questionable arm strength.

I agree with you about his strenghts. That's why he must be or QB this year.

  9. You're being anything but objective.

If you're going to play gunslinger football with your QB, he is going to throw some ints.

Both of those were underthrown and both were very good plays by Webster.

You live by the gun, you die by the gun.

You're being more than a little reactive.

Reactive maybe. Yes you throw some int like Favre, he was a gunslinger to, but not at critical moments, and yes i'm being objective because it's the 3rd game in a row with this kind of mistakes. Look at the Phily game, Fitz throw a lot of stones in screen passes, and in the Cincy game the same. Fitz is and must be our QB this year but we need a franchise QB to be a contender for years to come.

  10. Please . . . we're 4-2. He had a bad game. The D was banged up and didn't play well. Who in the long line of undistinguished Bills QBs would you rather have? What makes you think the first three games were flukes? Let's see how Fitz does after the break before asking for his head.

NO I'm not asking for his head. He MUST be or QB this year but it's not the QB that will take us to the SB again. We need a Franchise QB.

Probably not. Fitz is and always has been a great back up quarterback. I can't begin to imagine what Gailey could do with an amazing talent at QB.

    AGREE !!!

  11. lulz at this thread. Op probably had the majority of it written before the game...just itchin for a bad outing so he could click send.

 Sorry to disappoint you but it was after the game. I'm just being objective. Look at GB we have a much better backfield, and why not better WR corp. But they have a great D and Aaron Rodgers BIG difference. The Lions have a good D and Stafford, they don't have our running game but they're a solid team (spite the lose against a brutal D today)

  12. It's the 3rd game with a lot of bad throws of Fitzpatrick. Today 2 underthrows became int specially the 2nd cost us the game and that last drive prove we need a franchise QB. I know it's not all Fitz fault but it's clear as water. We have a very good backfield, a good group of WR, a decent OL (spite of the injuries). But the D doesn't make the right adjustments and the QB has all day to get rid of the ball. I'm just pissed, lose because a team outplayed you, fine. But lose because your own mistakes like today and that Cincy game just makes me crazy. :wallbash:

  13. The Cowboys release him to make room for Dockerry ??? Are you kidding me, Dockery was awful in Buffalo so if we follow the logic Dockery is better than Young....so....We still need a good offensive lineman. I heard Ryan Harris was cut from the eagles why not him, is he injured or something ????
