  1. John Harbaugh was laughed at for his "Flacco is the best QB and he'd take him over any QB" paraphrased comment. But think about it, Flacco always outperforms Brady head to head in the playoffs and Peyton Manning sucks in the playoffs compared to Flacco's record. So in all actuality, he probably would take Flacco over Brady and Manning in a playoff game.

I didn't understand how that comment got people so worked up. I would take Flacco over anyone else too. He's about as clutch as it gets. And there's simply nobody better in the post season.

  2. Bills have to travel across the country after a huge home win, that in itself is difficult regardless of the opponent but the Raiders have actually been playing tough at home and I think won last two there. Add in the fact that the Bills travel to the Pats the following week and this has all the makings of a scarey trap game for the Bills.

But they're going the other way across the country. It's going to feel like normal game time to them. When west coast teams come east the game feels like it takes place at like 9am. The travel should not hurt the Bills at all.

  3. Marrone is in over his head.

Leodis is an awful football player.

    Watkins isn't worth an extra 2015 1st round pick and a 4th.

The Cleveland Browns will be a playoff team before the Buffalo Bills.

Don't be a drama queen. Leodis is having a good year. Sammy is having a great year. Sometimes games are lost. Bills may or may not make the playoffs, but this is still obviously a much better team than we have seen in many many years. Game was winnable, but was lost. Sucks. But this is still a good team. For one we have something to build on instead of arguing about treating everything down. I've seen enough meltdowns to know today wasn't one. It was just a loss.

  4. The story of this game begins and ends with the offensive coaching. There was great play all over the field, and at times, it looked like Marrone and/or Hackett were purposefully trying to lose. I've never seen a coaching staff continually beating their collective heads against a wall like today. They were trying to do something that just wasn't working... playing to the Jets strength and exposing our weakness.

If not for an amazing defensive effort, the season would be all but over. We won today, but for most of the game it felt like we were losing. Such a frustrating game!

Yeah, only scored 43 points. So frustrating.

Seriously, some of you people need to relax. This is a good team who wins games and has a real chance at the playoffs. This is really the best team we've had in a generation. Nothing frustrating about that.

  5. really? Cause the story I heard yesterday was that the team did vote him one of their captains, but the thought is that the poll was rigged by the coaches so that he wouldn't become captain.

Of course only the players in that locker room would be able to tell you that, but if be interested in hearing what really happened.

So essentially this whole debacle is just the plot to All The Right Moves

I hung out and met most of the band after. Nicest people you can imagine. Dave Thomas is an interesting dude. He comes off like a manic grumpy grampa, swinging from laughing to grumbling in seconds. Got a book and the new CD autographed. Thomas did not look real healthy. He sat all show, but his voice was spot on.

Millionaires they are not. They were travelling by van, not tour bus.

I met David Thomas after a Rocket From The Tombs gig a few years back (thats his other, very very awesome band). Nice as a could be. He poured me a shot out of a bottle of whiskey he had in a metal briefcase. Think that was 2003 and he looked crazy unhealthy then.

  7. I know this is probably under another thread, but how bad of an injury is plantar faciitis and is it something that Byrd can play with all season and still perform at a high level?

My girlfriend has this. Beyond being painful, my dummy lady didnt rest her foot and ended up creating a much bigger problem that caused a need for surgery and nearly a year of physical therapy. Her nonsense happened in november and she still has pain. Depending on the severity of the original issue, it may just be a thing where Byrd simply needs to sit down for a month so he doesn't create a disaster down the line. Conspiracies are fun, but i think the real story here is probably far less exciting.

  8. Much respect for your musical taste. I am familiar with most of those, and agree great for drinking. And I will seek out those I am not familiar with. Dr John is relatively new to me. Last year was first time I heard Gris Gris. Wow. What an amazing, truly unique album!

Gris-Gris turned me into a Dr. John junkie before I even finished hearing it for the first time. Absolutely perfect to these ears, top to bottom. Since you dig it I recommend Babylon, Sun Moon & Herbs, Right Place Wrong Time and Locked Down. Dude is rrrrreeeaaaalllll hit or miss, but those hits are as good as it gets.
