Nate Burleson picked the Bills to lose and predicted that Mac Jones would throw for more yards than Josh Allen (these were "bold" predictions, btw).
Burleson is a closet Bills hater and always has been. Not sure why.
Burleson is not a Bills hater. Just because someone picks the other team doesn't make them a hater. We need to grow thicker skin.- 2

If the Bills don't shoot themselves in the foot they win this game. Simple as that. Unfortunately that foot has proven really enticing to shoot.

It’s such a strange team. A few quick strikes followed by 3 quarters of pretty ugly football. I’ve never seen a team blow people out but look so bad doing it.
Did you even watch the game. They scored 17 in the first half, another 14 in the second half, spread across al but the first quarter. Quick strikes? Seriously, what game were you watching? -
I like Mahomes. Don't really get all the hate for him here.
But, uh, if Josh had a start like Mahomes has had against the Titans today...oh boy.- 1

Here comes the FG miss.

Plenty of time for Cowboys to march down the field and miss the game-tying field goal.

Mina Kimes loves him now.

He's onto something. I was telling my wife that watching Josh on that TD drive before the half, he looked like the Terminator. Like he just decides where the ball is going to go, regardless of difficulty, and it's just there.

I'm really concerned with our offense. it's really not that tough to contain us to 14 points or under.
Bills are averaging 21 points per game so that would seem to not be the case.

I don't understand what's going on with Allen's deep ball.
I thought last year he was fairly accurate on his deep passes.
This year he's just awful on them. Always overthrowing his guys.
On the flip side, we've seen significant improvement on all his other passes.
Knox needs to get out of his own head.
Allen was inaccurate on 30+ yard passes last year as well. I just don't think he has developed that part of his game at the pro level yet.

The line was definitely struggling but Allen cant run backwards when under pressure, thats a big no no.
Yeah, that's something he has to learn to not do. I have confidence he will.

I kind of agree. On most plays the OL did their part. Josh just needs to get the ball out in under 2 seconds sometimes.
Please list all the QBs in the league that get rid of the ball in under 2 seconds.
Some of you are ridiculous.

He has to cut down on running or he’s not long for this league
I'm more worried about the cheap shots to the head he's taking in the pocket.

Idiot on the radio was bemoaning the fact that Allen was NOT dropping back to pass all day and today was just wasted on running which the league doesn't do anymore and we should be just like the rams.
can't even stand GR anymore.NOT
Now There is a place that's needs a regime change. (Sal is the only good one)
It's almost like winning the game has no meaning anymore. Style points are all that matter.

Somebody in the "guess the final score" thread said that no matter what the score people would complain.
Prediction of the day!

It's OTAs. I think Rosen will be a good one but...it's OTAs. Allen is impressing in OTAs, too, going by media tweets.

Historically, it hasn't proven possible over any sort of sample size to significantly improve a QB following college. There are a lot of articles/research about it.
QBs improve in many areas post college all the time. It's gains in completion percentage that are hard to come by (but not impossible).

While i agree with certain aspects of the article...i dont agree with " hell never be a 60% passer..his low completion percentage in college was more
of a system thing. Just watch baker mayfield vs ohio state..literally 70% of his passes were designed for easy completions..option te flat passes..
screens...option pass pitches..allen was asked to throw far more seam and deep comebacks and other throws which are much harder to complete
Yep. In this very article:
In 2017, a whopping 67 percent of Allen's passing yards came through the air, not after the catch, per Sports Info Solutions.
Here's how that stacks up with the other quarterbacks picked in the first round of the 2018 draft:
- Baker Mayfield: 49 percent
- Sam Darnold: 53.1 percent
- Josh Rosen: 50.5 percent
- Lamar Jackson: 54.0 percent

Nah, this is hotter than Miami. We've been regularly getting into the 100s the past two weeks.
