  1. I've loved the production from Stevie the last 6 weeks, but the way he has dealt with the success hasn't been encouraging. In my mind, he's a rookie (1st time he's seen any real PT), on a non-contending team that has put up some great numbers during a small sample period. The haircut, Joker Touchdown and the way he dealt with his mistake on Sunday (sulking in the end zone and on the sideline, God Tweet etc.) all point to a lot of immaturity and a "Diva" personality with a focus on self before team.

I'm sure he bounces back from this. I just hope he does it with his mouth shut and lets his play on the field doing the talking.

  2. UNIFORM DESIGN

Going back to the royal blue. Modern but yet still simple (unlike the vikings). Red would just be an alternate. Helmets would be charging buffalo with white helmet and white facemasks, red stripe down the center. i would love to see something like this to start a new decade of football.

real life example would be Oklahoma State Uniform, just switch their orange to blue, black to red.

The red unis remind me of the Pats

  3. I just heard it on the radio 40 minutes ago on my way home. Lee Hamilton said Bills and Rams offcials have held secret meetings with Eagles officials in Mobile Alabama and have interest in trading for Mcnabb. Take it for what its worth but the last time Lee reported Bills news about Jim Bates interviewing for the DC job he ended up being correct. I hope this is true.

I like the idea of trading for an established QB better than burning a high draft pick on a question mark. We have too many other holes to fill right now and need to shore up our O/D Lines through the draft. Would this be a plus or minus for TO or should I just write him off as gone either way?

  4. I know we have beaten a dead horse here but here is some interesting information from flightaware.com.

Guy is waxing his mustache at the beach... gets sand in it.....takes it off with his shoe........ shoe scuffs the counter!

  5. I wasn't a diehard Bills fan back then, but I don't agree with all your complaints that it was a forward pass. After lots of review, it was directly lateral. Ok, now you guys can flame me.

Officials still should have flagged it. No way they could tell if it was forward or not at game speed. The play would not have held up under review.

  6. I feel kind of bad, but my first reaction to seeing Welker's injury was that of happiness and fulfillment. The fact that he injured himself doing one of his signature midget jukes on a play in the slot made it more fulfilling.

The only possible injury that could make me happier is if Tony Siragusa gets his leg rolled on during a sideline update and has to eat meatballs one-handed on crutches for the rest of his life.

Sorry for the venom. Just wanted to see if anyone else's initial reaction to the Welker injury was joy.

  7. Richie Incognito-G-Bills Dec. 16 - 5:16 pm et

Bills claimed OL Richie Incognito off waivers from the Rams.

It's doubtful that a new home will cure Incognito's mental problems, but he's talented enough to take a flier on. When healthy, he was the Rams' best run-blocking interior lineman (as little as that's saying). The Bills will have the option of retaining him in 2010 with a restricted free agent tender.

Taking players with character issues seems to be our preferred course of action the past couple of years:

Marshawn Lynch (Hit and Run, Reefer and Gun)

    James Hardy (Gun)

    Ko Simpson (He's worth millions)

    Donte Whitner (Tasered by police)

Corey MacIntyre (Wrongly accused, but still)

And now we sign the dirtiest player in the NFL?

  8. Of the currently unemployed HC/GM possibilities out there are you saying you wouldn't be excited with even our second choice?

Shanny, Holmgren, Cowher, Chuckie, Billick ....... shoot give me any one of those and I'll be a heck of a lot happier than I was with the last group of coaches that have graced our doorstep.

Granted we all have our favorites in who we would like to see run our team. Mine in order are Cowher, Holmgren, or Shanny .... I don't care too much for the other two (but I think I would take them above a youngster assistant from another team with "potential").

I just can't make myself root for the Dolphins, Cheatriots, or Cowboys No way, No how.

No, I wouldn't be disappointed with any of those choices..... but just like everything in Buffaloland we need the stars to align for anything good to happen and taking Dallas out of the mix only helps us.

Why do I feel like we're still going to end up with a 2nd tier coach in a year when there are unprecedented quality coaches available?

  9. It pains me to say this, but we need the Cowboys to win a bunch of games so that Wade Phillips has a job next year. If Phillips is fired, the Cowboys will definitely outbid the smaller market teams for the best coach available. We've got a good shot against the Clevelands, Washingtons and Oaklands of the world but can't compete against Jer-uh, his billions and new stadium.

That said, Phillips is an idiot (see Rob Johnson over Doug Flutie) and will find a way to get fired and probably wind up back in Buffalo.

  10. I don't think so. For the inexperience of the Bills line, the Bears line is not leaps and bounds better. The Bears have also played 1 less game.

The Bills total of 56 man games for (LG,C,RG) compared to the Bears 422 man games is huge, and I have to believe the Bears tackles have more games played than do the Bills tackles. The sacks and hits numbers should drastically be in favor of the Bears and they are not.

    Sacks

Bills 21 or 2.62 per game in 8 games played

Bears 11 or 1.57 per game in 7 games played

    QB Hits

Bills 54 or 6.75 per game in 8 games played

Bears 30 or 4.28 per game in 7 games played

Edwards/Fitzy are sacked 1.1 more times per game and are hit about 2.5 times more per game than Cutler, not much of a difference over the course of a 60 minute game. I would not call that "a much better offensive line". Due to their extreme inexperience, I think they stack up quite well compared to the Bears oline.

You could also say the Bills O-Line gives up 40% more sacks than Chicago's and 37% more hits on the QB. You need to remember that our time of possession and total offensive snaps are much lower than league average which only makes these stats worse. When you have 15-20 pass attempts per game and you're getting hit/sacked 6 or 7 times you aren't going to have an effective QB. Tent is still a p*ssy and Fitz is garbage. Go Bills.
