Was lip service after all. Sure, Josh made mistakes but you live die with his recklessness at times. Resting on a 16 pt lead and playing prevent defense to allow 18 yards on a dump off is not championship caliber coaching. This is a punch to the gut and these coaches better learn or we will be on a treadmill.

Run. The. Ball.
So simple, yet so true. If we start neglecting the run right away, problems will arise. Texans will start blitzing and the Bills have not shown the ability to setup a proper screen passing game.

RIP Sam. Always despised and respected his Bengals teams.

What slogan would you suggest?
It's cute to say you're Championship Caliber when you're regularly coaching not to lose. I just don't think this approach will result in a Super Bowl. Praying that they start proving me wrong on Saturday. Not asking for a 51-3 drubbing, but something along the lines of 31-10 would be ideal.

I just don't get it. Haven't you been listening? What we saw in the regular season never was the objective. It's only a step in the process. McBeane are slowly and steadily building this team. They never intended that the team would peak in 2019, and it hasn't. There's more to come.
What's coming? A new OLB, one or two offensive linemen, one or two receivers, a running back, more DBs.
Give it time.
I hope you're right, but I don't think things are that linear. Although making upgrades will help, I still think we need that killer instinct from the likes of McDermott & co. moving forward. Time to take the training wheels off and be more aggressive (without being reckless). I also hate the idea of relying on attrition from other contenders in the coming years (which someone else posted). That's such a passive attitude that will likely blow up in their face.

Do you guys feel coaches and management will make the necessary adjustments to truly make this team 'Championship Caliber' moving forward? Personally, I don't think what we saw in the regular season will cut it.

It's sad, but this summary of Mr. Jones is still very much applicable. ?

Really feel we might be sleeping on Croom. Nepotism aside, he will likely make this roster because he can is a mismatch for slower linebackers and smaller defensive backs. Furthermore, I don't think they will want to re-invest in tight end given their ROI on Kroft and Smith.
