  1. Young nor no one else will get a shot with Nix as GM. We could have had Dalton, Nix didn't feel he was worth a pick in the 2nd, look what Dalton meant to Cinci. Sorry Buddy you screwed the pooch on that one.

Bottom line here, they are so set and egotistical they won't give anyone else a chance. They have decided to do or die wiht Fits. What is going to be disappointing is we build this great team and that one person /Position keeps us from winning the big one.

Oh so are you the new Captain Hindsight lol? You're just so so SO ignorant and lack logic. Please stop posting so we on this board don't have to read through this garbage and can just read the more insightful posts that other people on this board supply. And Chix egotistical and won't give anyone else a chance? WHAT!? :wallbash: I feel sorry for you but at the same time I am overjoyed that I do not have your brain. That statement is just laughable hahahahahahahahaahaahaahaahahaahaahaahahaahahaahaahahahaahahahaahaaahaahahahaahahaahahaha just leave man. Just leave.

  2. He's being honest. -Even a bit Kind! I can flat out tell you that we DID NOT close the gap with the Pats this draft. All the know-it-all's on this board assured me that the Pats would surely trade their first two picks. No one thought they'd use them to re-up because the Pats just don't do that. I was VERY skeptical. Lo and behold, the Pats come away with some of the best defensive talent on the board. Three highly touted DE's, and an OLB/DE

I can deal with the fact that we have a bad owner. I can deal with the fact that Buddy, and Chan are the best we can afford right now. I can even deal with the fact that the scrub we have at QB is our guy for the forseeable future. What I cannot deal with is people pretending that we haven't been absent from the playoffs for over a decade. Where are all the weapons we were supposed to get for Fitz? Nice goin' on the re-build, Buddy.

At this rate, I'll only be 90 before the playoff drought ends.

I agree with eball, you are very miserable and that is no way to live. No one's pretending that the Bills havent't been absent from the playoffs for 12 years. They are just being optimistic about the improvements the last few years. I THINK YOU (AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHO THINK LIKE YOU) SHOULD STOP PRETENDING THAT BUDDY NIX AND CHAN GAILEY HAVE BEEN APART OF THIS LOSING ORGANIZATION FOR 12 YEARS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT!!!!! They have both done a commendable job (especially buddy) and should not be associated with the past 10 years of ineptitude before 2010 of the Bills organization because they were not even here!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel sorry for people like you. Constantly miserable and negative. Being a fan of the NFL is meant to be enjoyed so wtf are you doing with your life if you are a downer even when it comes to entertainment? By posting your negativity are you trying to get people to also become miserable with you? Loser.

Im not trying to be mean here, I just dont like when people try to bring other fans down with these type of (illogical) negative comments

GO BILLS!!!!! GREAT DRAFT IN MY OPINION!!!!!!!!!

  3. 1. The Bills continue to like college players from the South: South Carolina, Georgia and NC State are the schools we have drafted from so far in this draft.

    2. Drafting Gilmore confirms what we all knew: McKelvin is a huge bust (joining Maybin and Lynch (at least for the Bills)).

    3. The Bills always do something weird on draft day. This year it is T.J. Graham, who was a huge reach and makes little sense in the third round.

    4. I hope the Bills re-sign Levitre. If Glenn cannot handle LT or RT, maybe he will be the replacement for Urbick and Rhinehart, who are both free agents after this season.

    5. Some draft people have criticized Glenn for not having the football intelligence to handle edge rushers. Can someone translate and explain to me what this means?

    6. We really have drafted for need rather than BPA, although I have no idea who we would have drafted if Gilmore had also been gone.

    7. I hope the Bills take care of Fred soon.

    1. Yes

    2. Yes

    3. Surprised for sure but I do not understand by what logic casual fans like the ones on TSW (myself included) can identify a player as a "reach" as soon as they are drafted. Just because of what these "experts" say? If Stevie Johnson would have been drafted in the 2nd round in 2008 instead of James Hardy at the Bills selection i guarantee that almost everyone would say that that was a HUGE reach. Although in hindsight we all know now that Johnson would definitely be worth a 2nd round pick and Hardy (who was considered fair enough value at the time) would probably not even be selected. SO HOW MUCH CAN WE REALLY SAY WE KNOW?.... WE KNOW NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    4. I feel that Nix will make an effort to resign them (he thought enough of them this year to put high tenders on them) and that they will both be with the team next year. If that does not prevail, however, you are correct to assume that Glenn can be a possible replacement

    5. It is just pure BS. No one knows anything; they just try and make it sound like they do for attention. Last year Newton was said to not have the intelligence to make it by many "draft people" and it turned out he was an absolute stud in his rookie year. He was highly intelligent as a QB his rookie year and by far exceeded any realistic expectations placed on him. So in translation all that these "draft people" see is complete nonsense lol. If they knew what they were talking about they would be an NFL GM with the most talented team in the league year in and year out because they are incapable of making mistakes.

    6. I disagree here. I believe that the Bills drafted THEIR best player available even if the "draft experts" boards do not show it. Nix stated that he had Gilmore rated around the 10th spot and definitely found the value there and was VERY surprised that Glenn was on the board (and for what it's worth Glenn was rated as a first round prospect by "experts"). Graham was obviously a surprise but clearly the Bills felt he was the BPA at that spot as they moved up a couple to get him. Sometimes BPA and need can coincide ;)

    7. As do I and I have complete faith in Buddy Nix to resign Fred since he has already given him his word that he will

    GO BILLS!!!

  4. Nix has already said numerous time that he doesnt like to trade up (sounds like he might even hate it). I dont know why people dont listen to what he says. It will save you plenty of time speculating if the bills will move up to take a player. They wont. If they do it will be in an extremely rare instance for a player they highly covet. Not in the second round thats for sure

  5. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

O.K. The biggest reason is we only have ONE linebacker on our roster, (Nick Barnett).. None of the others I would consider NFL linebackers. The rest of them stink. I think Sheppard is a blown pick as well. We NEED linebackers desparitely. We need to draft more than one or two. If we can add Burfict in the 7th that would be another body that would come in and compete there. Burfict at one time was talented enough to have scouts rate him draftable. If he can stay off the "weed" and get his act together, maybe he will go back to being a decent football player.

With only one linebacker that is starting material we need to bring in bodies.

And why is Sheppard a blown pick? I thought he fared pretty well last year especially considering he was a rookie playing ILB in a 3-4 as opposed to his natural ILB position in a 4-3 which he will be in this year. The guy has only played one year sheeesh give him a decent chance before writing him off. Like seriously? I cant stand when people give their very unprofessional opinion with no basis for their argument other than "i THINK Sheppard is a blown pick". How the heck would you know this? Do you study him extensively like Buddy Nix does? There is a reason why you are not an NFL GM guy so stop implying that you are more knowledgeable about players than NFL Scouts (which you are doing because you are saying how you think Sheppard is a bust even though Chix thinks he can be a very good player which means that you think you are better at evaluating talent in this circumstance and thus in all circumstances by that logic)

  6. Draft already. Screw you NFL! And the kid that made this song. But thanks to Richard (Dick) Cheese for doing this version.

Oh Kalil if he's there. Blackmon if he's there. Luck if he's there. Griffin 3 if he's there. Screw you NFL. I dont even care who the pick is because I'm positive he is going to contribute immediately and meke a difference. And after Thursday comes Friday.

Friday! FRIDAY! Gotta get down on Friday. Thanks to Jeremy White from GR for the name of the guy on this.

I want a ringtone from the 2:09 mark. Seriously. Gotta get down on FRIDAY!!!! Not Rebecca Black like but this guys version!!

Wtf? oh wait haha i get it...

  7. Then their ratings suck. Sorry bud, but this thread is lame. Rueben randle will not be available in Rd 4. No. Way. No how.

It just seems like every time I log on, there's a new BB thread regarding the draft. Each with new players selected. I applaud your love of the bills, as I'm constantly on tsw if I'm bored. I can't stop thinking about the draft and the upcoming season, but the amount of threads you start is a bit much. Some I like. Some I think you have no life outside of buffalo bills football. I'm sure you do, but geeeez, calm down with the new threads.

    Thankyou

  8. Russell Wilson >>>>>>>>>> Brock Osweiner. SCREW HEIGHT. Brock throws like a pansy and from what ive seen is the next captain checkdown. Wilson makes things happen. If the Bills go QB in the fourth (it better be no earlier then that) Wilson should be the pick.

Well done  Also that pass that Stevie dropped against the Steelers 2 years ago was a BEAUTIFUL throw from Fitz that went for more than 50 yards in the clutch. People on this board seem to complain just to complain and its really annoying. Be thankful we have Fitz and not Losman, Holcomb, Edwards, etc. Fitz is not the greatest by any means and is inconsistent with the deep ball (NYG game ) but, as he showed in the first half of the season, he is solid and can win with a strong supporting cast. A LOT of his INT's last year came because he had to force passes because NO ONE was getting open and the Bills pass defense was horrendous (i think it was because of absolutely no pass rush which, hopefully, will actually be a strength this year) so they were constantly down early making him have to force passes that werent open in order to create offense that simply wasnt there. He needs better receivers next to Stevie and Fred needs to stay healthy. This year is critical for Fitzpatrick as the Bills now seem to have the necessary pieces to make a legitimate playoff run, especially if they have another strong draft. As long as the Bills dont suffer major injuries (although history shows that they will suffer many :wallbash: because of pure bad luck) he should be expected to get the Bills to the playoffs and I think he is good enough to do it.

And im SO tired of this BS that certain QB's aren't good enough to get to/win a Super Bowl and are only good enough to go to the playoffs. NEWSFLASH: the playoffs are only 3 to 4 games long and as far as im concerned any team can get hot and win 3 or 4 in a row. Once your in your IN and anything can happen. A lot of what happens in the playoffs is luck its not all predetermined based on ranking and skill level. The Packers were a much better team last year than they were in 2010/11 but they won that year and not 2011/12. Were the 6th seed 2010/11 Packers more worthy than the 1st seed 2011/2012 Packers to win the Superbowl? No. But what happened? The Giants were the the team with the worst record in the NFC and won the Superbowl. And before Eli Manning won his first SB in 07/08 people non-stop were saying he wasnt good enough to win one since he wasnt one of the best QB's statistically. Look how that turned out... And now that the Bills have revamped the defensive line to make it, on paper, a dominant group (the D-line has been one of the undeniable keys to the Giants success), there is no reason to believe that Fitz is incapable of achieving a Superbowl victory with the Bills in a similar fashion to how Eli did with the Giants

  10. Don't listen to all the haters of this post Kelly i agree with you 100%!!! People who say they can draft better than Nix are full of crap because all they do is look at like 100 mock drafts and base their decisions on that. Nix doesnt give 2 sh*ts about online mock drafts and does his scouting from his own board that he and his staff make themselves. And if those mock drafts were so accurate, especially the ones made by "professional" nfl.com analysts, than all of the players listed in the first round would all be high quality players/stars/superstars but there not. Do we forget that many of these mock drafts a few years back had Aaron Maybin consistently drafted in the first 20 picks of the 1st round and DE was considered a huge need by the Bills at the time so if someone were to just use these mock drafts, online scouting reports and player rankings, it would be logical for a lot of people who just read this crap online to have made that selection for the Bills...

People saying they can draft better than the CURRENT bills staff can get their heads out of their assses because if you could do such a better job you wouldnt be on this board giving merely your opinion of who the bills would draft, you would actually be getting payed a ton of money to be a GM in the NFL. But thats not the case is it?

  11. I believe you mean KIRKpatrick haha  and your trade down scenario is a little difficult to understand. I think it seems kinda ridiculous for someone to trade the 10th pick with 2 4th rounders and in return receive picks #14 and #27. I cant think of anyone who would be dumb enough to accept that trade and i dont get how it would even make any sense. Dallas has pick 14 and New England has pick 27. How does this trade down scenario work at all?

  12. We have a VERY solid defense.

By mid season their only incentive to play well will be being selected to be on the AFC Pro Bowl.

    ...sorry! :bag:

Pessimism without logic. Typical bills fan psychologically damaged from the years of being tortured by watching the product the bills put on the field. Fitz is a solid qb when his oline isnt in shambles and when he isnt down by 14 right away because the defense couldnt stop sh*t. On paper this team is better than 8-8. Try to be more optimistic and you will find that life isnt so crappy :P

  13. Well said. I really like your view on the whole situation and i will take the same one if Super Mario doesnt sign  ... However, im curious as to whether Williams is enticed by the idea in playing in a big market. He doesnt seem to be a very outgoing person off the field who gathers attention from the media for the things he says. I cant recall one time where i ever heard about Mario being mentioned in the media for anything other than his outstanding play. So possibly it isnt an issue about the market where he plays so he can gain attention, but more of an issue as to where he fits best (and of course, money). Playing on a young d-line with 2 consistent pro bowl caliber players (Dareus will definitely play at a pro bowl level in the coming years) and a big name like Shawne Merriman (ya i know he's no where near his prime but he seems to still have respect around the league and there is always the hope he can get back to being a quality player) would create a dominant d-line for years to come and i cant find a better fit in the league from a team that can realistically afford him and are willing to make him reportedly the highest paid defensive player in the NFL. So to me it would be very logical for Williams to sign, however, they are still the Bills and are always getting screwed so im prepared for the worst. So if they get screwed...

    Bring on the Draft.

  14. Stevie Johnson's stock continues to drop.

He has fallen behind second and third receivers in the league.

He is currently ranked at #33-NO BUENO.

Yes the team sucks, line, QB etc, but there are players on worse teams that rank higher.

Dont sign this guy as a #1-He isnt worth $9-$10 million a year, maybe $6 Million...

I like him-he just isnt a top tier guy. Great #2 though.

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/receiving/sort/receivingYards/year/2011/seasontype/2

Fred is still solid as #3 running back in league-PAY THIS GUY....Not Johnson.

ALSO-Why on earth didnt the Bills sign Gronkowski-The guy is a beast, hometown kid-He would have been the face of the franchise...but we take Torrel Troup-someone nobody ever even heard of. He's a bust after one and a half season.

    Nice going Nix!

Everyone is a genius in hindsight.
