  1. Why don't we use this thread to keep all of the "Rex Hate" in one convenient spot? Instead of ruining good threads you can come post it here. I will get the ball rolling:

    Wrecks Ryan sucks

Wrex drives a clown car full of clowns like he is a clown himself

    NEPOTISM!!!!

    CRONYISM!!!!

    You get the idea....

And mods, before we kill this thread, remember that its being discussed in EVERY thread on this board.

Is this like the negative thread from last year? Is there going to be a Rex love thread as well?

  2. I think the one thing I noticed today, that they have not done a lot this year, is they had Sammy lined up all over the place. Back field, slot, outside, lots of motions. I think Roman was out having fun today and experimenting quite a bit, and I do believe this offense will benefit greatly next year if Roman isn't hired away.

  3. Maybe I'm senile but I thought this was the season the NFL was adding a third wild card team in each conference. Did I miss something?

It was talked about, right along with adding the regular season games. Nothing has been implemented as of yet. I kinda hope we make the playoffs before that happens (and it probably will sooner or later) so we don't have the whole "couldn't make it in with only 2 WC spots" stigma.

  4. Dropping Kyle Williams into coverage, and rushing only 3

Well it worked last year against Chicago when KW came away with the pick doing the same thing.

It's time to move on to Miami but that was painful to watch. Kyle Williams drop into coverage and rush 3 - really?

This is actually pretty effective and not as unusual as it sounds. When teams are killing you with slants, and shallow cross routes, dropping a tackle or a DE into somewhat of a qb spy can help slow this down some.

  5. 'Twas the night before the pats* game, and all through this place, not a creature was stirring, except what's his face. All the footballs were taken and deflated with care, with the hopes that Tom Brady soon would be there. All the defense was nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of pats* blood danced in their head. When out of the locker room arose such a clatter, I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter. Away to the bathroom I flew like a flash, threw open the door and found the football stash. When What to my wondering eyes did appear, but a miniature needle and "the deflator" in fear. With lil Tom Brady so sneaky and quick, I knew in a moment he was afraid of throwing a pick.

I could keep going, but you guys get the point. Let's go Buffalo!!

  6. The thing I found most interesting in that piece was the quote from I think urbik, that said that last year their whole run game philosophy was inside zone. I think we all knew hacketts offense last year was very vanilla, but my gosh, that's awful. No wonder CJ and Fred had such a huge drop in production after chan left. I'm looking forward to seeing our offense this year. I can't remember the last time I've said that!

  7. I have 3 kids, and all of them very different. You will know what to say better than any of us here, as you have raised this young man. Just the fact that you are here asking for advice tells me that you are a great parent that has raised him right. You can tell him not to party, and not chase tail till your blue in the face, but the reality is that he is a young man like we all were once. Going to college is a huge deal, and an opportunity that not everyone is afforded. There is a balance that needs to be found between work and play, but the work will pay off in the long run. Best of luck to him, and you, dad!

  8. That doesn't shock me, I know harbaugh was kind of seen as the qb whisperer in SF, but I think that we will be ok no matter who ends up at qb.

When roman got to SF, they had Alex smith who at that point in his career was a huge disappointment, only to start playing well above average in Roman's scheme. Then smith gets hurt and kaepernick took over and played well too. Two very different playing styles, yet roman adapted and both had success.

If he can have similar results with any of our guys, we will be playing football in January.

  9. While we are at it, why don't we go ahead and trade Mario for Skelton?

Oh, he's a free agent now? Why don't we cut Mario to make cap room for Skelton?

Seriously, if we are going to make a trade at this point in the off season, it needs to be someone who has proven success. Unfortunately those types of qbs are rarely available. The best we can hope for is Big Ben going out and raping a college girl, he gets cut, and sexy rexy claims him to give him his second chance. Whaley was right, we are in QB pergatory, with no end in sight. My heart has been pulling for EJ to make things click this year. While he hasn't done anything to completely blow it, he hasn't shown that he can consistently lead either. I think TT gets the nod, and maybe, just maybe, our offense is gimicky enough to make some magic happen this season. I hate to see this roster rot because of one position

  10. I'll be pretty pissed if DTV Sunday ticket doesn't come through with this one, especially if I hear a commercial saying "watch every out of market game" I live on the west coast, and after getting off work at a second job at 2am, I don't see myself waking up at 6am and dinking around with my computer. If they want to stream the game, great. That's awesome for all the people who don't pay to watch every out of market game. I pay pretty good money every year for Sunday ticket and dvr, with the only reason being to watch the bills play every Sunday.

  11. just another in the long line of PR moves, note to the Bills faithful, PR does not put wins on the board, but you knew that before

    this post

P.S. just another reason not to buy a FORD, you know the motto, Ford= fix and repair daily, and that is a perfect description of new Bills coaching staff

It's the off season, which is PR season. R-E-L-A-X.

Just throwing this out there, it's fix OR repair daily, otherwise he would be driving a FARD. And just another tid-bit, I drive an 07 f-150 that just hit 250k miles, all original drivetrain.

  12. The same website also has the Bills listed as one of the 10 worst sports franchises. That is more on the mark than the logo, even though I actually prefer the old standing Buffalo (which actually was waiting to be shot by Buffalo Bill Cody).

I have an affinity for the old AFL logos, and the Pats change from their classic center to their current character free removed the only thing I have ever liked about that franchise. It also pisses me off that the Titans keep control over the Oilers name and logo so that the new Houston franchise had to use a boring moniker and a logo that lacks any class. The oil rig logo was perfectly understated and classy. Of course, I also hope the Browns never succumb to using a logo, so maybe I'm just old and boring.

Well the Browns didn't listen to you...

  13. All those proven HCs you are referring to, were also once unproven up and coming coordinators. I don't like the idea of gase, I think he's too young, and has had Peyton to overcome any shortcomings. I'd have no problem with a first time coach, I just hope Whaley knows the right questions to ask during the interview, and doesn't just go in there wanting the "anti-Doug"

    Oh yeah... IN
