  1. The more I look at who may be available when the Bills pick and reviewing where the possibilities of trade down scenario's I feel that we have the best option of a trade down with the Houston Texans. Here is my reasoning,

The Texans have two primary area's of need, a CB and a RB. Joe Hayden the top rated corner will be off the board by the time they pick 20th and C.J. Spiller will also be gone before their pick. I would offer a trade of 1st's where we move to 20th and pick up the Texans 2nd (pick 51) and 4th (pick 116 or later based on 3rd round compensatory picks awarded). This a fair deal and would allow the Bills the chance to have 3 picks between mid-first to mid second where they should be able to get an OT, NT and WR, plus would have (1) 3rd round, (2) 4th round, (1) 5th round, (2) 6th round and (1) 7th

If this trade is made, what selections would you make and do you agree this would be a great trade for Buffalo

the texans have slaton so they wouldnt trade up for another rb imo and no corner is worth a trade up either

if they trade up it will be for a ot, nt, or berry

  2. " The New Orleans Saints aren't actively shopping left tackle Jammal Brown, but they would listen to offers for the two-time Pro Bowl blocker. Brown missed the team's entire Super Bowl season with a hip injury. And while replacement Jermon Bushrod struggled down the stretch, Saints officials feel the three-year veteran has a good future. …"

they are letting sharper test FA, maybe whitner+ picks ,3rd this year and next?

get a qb and nt in 1st and 2nd

  3. No one can "decipher" whether a player will be legit or not. Drafting is a crapshoot. Always has been. "Can't miss" prospects have missed and late rounders have turned into Pro Bowlers. Drafting is like 30% scouting and 70% luck.

why would people get paid so much if all that lucky was involved? more like 90% scouting and 10% luck

  4. We have DT's (Stroud and Williams)

We have 1 DE (Schobel) if he comes back which i assume he will

In his point moving Maybin to OLB

So that leaves 1 DE, 1 LB to obtain via draft or Free agency

Right now we are built for a 4-3 Defense.

We also need offense LT,QB, A RB with speed, and a WR. So by my counts we need offense more then defense and the transition would be to difficult and cap consuming, and we would be stuck with the same offense as last year where are Defense held teams but our O could not score for the life of them.

how is our run d with those dts? strouds career is almost over imo

schobel hasnt said hes coming back, kelsay is trash, denney is a free agent.

mitchell is coming off serious injury and ellison is trash

they need to completely overhaul the front 7 no matter what defense they choose! its not that hard to understand.

  5. As the season draws to a close and we gear up for FA and the Draft, the Bills have a number of holes to fill.

DE Aaron Kampman of the Packers is set to hit FA. He is a beast 4-3 DE but struggled mightily as a 3-4 OLB as the Packers made the switch under Dom Capers. He wound up on IR due to an ACL tear but should be ready for camp.

No longer a fit in GB, he may become available via FA.

While I'm aware we have yet to hire a DC and may very well end up switching to a 3-4, I really don't think we have the personnel to make such a change. I also think the trend of NFL defenses will begin to shift back to the 4-3. As a note, the two SB teams run 4-3 and three of the four teams that played this weekend do too. It's all about personnel and how you use them.

In any case, with Schobel's possible retirement, Kelsay's average-at-best play and the unknown that is Maybin, we could use a guy like Kampman to help us do what we've had a hard time doing: Turfing the opposing team's QB.

I think this is a realistic possibility and a very good fit for both sides.

    Thoughts?

the bills dont have the personnel to play 4-3 either

  6. if the bills plan on playing a 3-4 they need:

atleast 1 starting olb, and about 3 back up lbs

a nt and a back up

and probably 1 starter worthy de.

they could trade schobel and whitner and get some more picks/ players to make the transition easier
