  1. Call me a RW apologist if you want but no matter how infuriated I've been @ some of his decisions over the past 30+ years he was the one that brought the Bills to Buffalo and kept them there. I honestly believe that 9 out of 10 other owners would have bailed and moved to a more luxurious city.

Lets face it, he could move to LA and they would probably build him a billion $ stadium plus provide him other incentives to get out of dodge.

  2. When it comes to seats I have to be one of the luckiest Bill fans here. A great friend of mine, his father owns one of the executive box suites (10 yd line) where I have an open invitation to go to any game I want for free. Even when I picked up my friend he wouldn't even let me pay for the parking. I've actually hidden money in his house a few times for parking afterwards because he never accepts mine $.

  3. Regardless of who wins the job I don't think anyone expects any of the QB's to have a spectacular year. The main issue is Buddy & company really had no idea what we had quality wise. Last year we lost out LT and OC less then a week before the season started. That plus the fact that DJ was completely offensively inept, to rate any of them is really a crap-shoot.

  4. Like everyone else said NFL channel was much better by a landslide. The details, graphics, analysis, etc was much more in depth then ESPN wondering when Clausen and McCoy was going to be drafted.

What stood out the most was all the freaken COMMERCIALS on ESPN Thursday night. After that I don't think I even flipped ESPN on Friday or Saturday after that debacle.

The only drawback was Eisen can get a little annoying after a while but nothing compared to those clowns on ESPN (besides Berman)

  5. Barry Sanders umm no we need guys you can win with which is why they didn't knock Barry's door down with offers when he retired

Barry retired before his contract wa up so Detroit still owned his rights. Rumor has it that he retired for 2 seasons, tired or losing and was used as a work horse thoughout the games but near the goal line they would bring in a FB to score the TD. Most of Barry's TD's were break aways for over 10 yds.

A few teams tried to negociate for Barry's rights after he quit but Detroit would not give them up under any circumstance. Basically if he played he had no choice but to play for Detroit.

If you ask me it was a sad end to a fantastic career and a phenominal player to watch.

  6. Again...THIS is why we as Bills fans, settle for what we get.

WE DON'T WANT FOOTBALL PLAYERS...WE WANT NICE GUYS!!! (Or at least most of YOU do...I want to WIN!)

Getting a 2-time Super Bowl Champion Winning Quarterback, entering his prime? Meh! No thanks!

We'll just stick with Trent Edwards, Brian Brohm and Ryan Fitzpatrick...maybe bring in Vinny Testeverde...he's a good guy!

    ;)<_<:wallbash:

I don't care whether someone is a "good guy" or not but there is a line. Someone that has had MULTIPLE women come forward and state they have been sexually assulted is a completely different situation.

Perhaps you should look @ yourself and see how much you are willing to accept from a player to win a championship. Having a sexual predator is too big of a price.

  7. I don't think he sucks. I just don't think he's that good.

I always thought this board was a little too hard on Poz until I went out of my way and watched him exlusively for a number of plays today. Granted he had a decent game but the more I watched him the more I understood all the criticism he has received. There were a number of plays where he was WAY out of position or just couldn't keep up the the player he was covering. To watch our MLB play like that after the great players that we've had in the past play LB is embarrassing.

  8. I always thought Wade was a "very good" HC overall. Granted he made @ least a few questionable gameday decisions and his greatest downfall was lack of media skills but for the most part he put us in a position to win, and win we did. Lets face it, besides Levy he's the best HC we've had since Knox.

  9. Lets face it, we have serious issues with the line on both sides of the ball. I don't care if we had Lombardi w/Bill Walsh as an assistant we're going to continue to have problems until we get the right personal. That being said I'm not giving up on Perry but if we don't seriously compete in the next 4 games then I'm definitely ready to move on to someone who is more "proven" (whoever that might be)

  10. The past few weeks I've read numerous opinions on who the next head coach of the Bills should be. Because of this I figured I'd consolidate things into 1 thread. I think we're almost all in agreement that the front office needs some shuffleing but as far as a HC it seems like the options are wide open.

Personally I'm undecided until I see how Perry does for the remainder of the season but if I had to choose now my vote would be for Shanny.

    Who would you want?

  11. My first game was in 1981 at "Rich" Stadium back then....Bills vs Patriots. Ferguson throws a hail mary pass to Roland Hooks for the game winning touchdown. My Dad and I were sitting right in that end zone section. Great first experience!! I was 9 years old...

That wasn't my 1st game (I think it was my 3rd) but I went to it. I was @ the opposite end and I couldn't see the actual catch, all I could see through the snow was the end zone fans jump to their feet and go crazy. That's when I knew we scored a TD. I was only 10 @ the time.

  12. Yeah, then you just wouldn't be able to see the Sabres and Leafs tonight.

True, but I'm a NFL fan not really a NHL fan. I personally think the NFL channel is one of the best stations available and I would give up all other sports channels for it. I watch it prectiacally everyday and their daily sportsdesk show called 'NFL Total Access' is top notch. Plus DirecTV offers the NFL ticket which I've subscribed to for the past 7 years and would have a hard time giving up by switching to TW. Last I looked which was a few years ago, DirecTV was actually less expensive then TW.

Regardless, I think TW should offer the NFL channel. If they really wanted to they could easily give into the requirements the NFL is requesting and offer it in their basic or standard package.
