  1. You don't watch very closely. TE has gone deep to both Evans and TO.

Again, repeating endlessly that TE has not thrown downfield to a WR doesn't make it true. He clearly checks down a lot. But the vast majority of Fitz's passes are short also.

You should be surprised that "Fitzpatrick hasn't turned the ball over yet"--because he HAS. He was picked off twice against the Jets--one was waved off after Jets penalty.

You should do some basic research before you dive into the shallow end. It's just lazy.

You're right, TE does throw downfield to his WR's - that is, if you consider TE dropping back seven steps and throwing for 5 to Reed behind the line of scrimage downfield. Do you also consider Fred and Marshawn WR's as well??

  2. If you're just looking to catch a replay of the game you can go to the NFL home page and watch it on NFL 'Game Rewind.' For $7.99 you get to watch every game played that Sunday. You can fastforward and rewind to your hearts content. The only kicker is that the games are only BECOME available at 11:59pm Sunday night. You do get the games for a whole week though.

  3. Jets fans.

I'd be shocked if that happened at a Giants' game. At a Jets game? Not a bit. This is why I've never had Bills gear on my car when going to games at the Meadowlands over the years. They tend to be the same guys that root for the Islanders -- low rent trash.

Her's the kicker...not only was my car Bills gear free but two of the other cars that they hit were owned by Jets fans. These inbreds trashed their own fans!!!

  4. :bag:

I was part of the NYC Buffalo Bills Backers tailgate party in the Dirty Jerz on Sunday. Fun was had by all and I mean ALL as there were a number of Jets fans partaking in the festivities and bowling ball shots. There was good natured ribbing going on and only a few a$$es but otherwise a fun and relaxed tailgate. After the game, which will now forever be know as the "Inept Bowl" (it was going to be the "Boring Bowl" but the overtime kinda squashed that). After the game we walked back to my car to find that BOTH side mirrors had been kicked off and were now hanging by various pieces of wire and plastic. Not only that, but Pinto Kenny's driver side mirror had been cracked. My car definitely got the worst of it as we had to duct tape the mirrors onto the body in order to get the car home and not get ticketed.

Who the hell does this type of thing?? I'm as diehard as they come but seriously... to damage someone else's property for the sake of a game is BS. We weren't rude to the fans around us; on the contrary we invited them over to tailgate with us. The only thing that makes this somewhat palpable is that the car was old and this was the sacrifice that the gods of the Pigskin needed for our win. I HATE Jets fans.

  5. That was pretty hilarious, and they players are right about Ralph going cheap-o on the gameday experience things

I was at the game. In the parking lot we were talking about pervious home openers and fly-overs to my friends' brother who had never been to a Bills game. We were talking them up and then Ralph has to pull that cheap a$$ stunt and hire Mike Randel to fly over in the Chanel 7 traffic copter. Nice goin' old man!

  6. I am sorry, but after the Dallas game, the playoff game against Tennessee, and keeping a coach who has never, never won, it is time to give up, give in, and live up to my name. Edwards, who I watched in his first game against the Patriots, when he could and did go downfield, now makes short passes that are just long handoffs. The Patriots are not that good now, especially on defense, and will have a winning record, but only because of a fortunate schedule. I cannot and will not waste more time on a team I was buying the NFL ticket to watch.

Great..so this should be the last time we read yer drivel.

  7. Actually, it doesn't necessarily mean few plays. But fewer formations would be a great idea, IMO. Part of the Bills predictability is they have different formation and personnel packages for too many plays. You see the FB come in, its a run. You see Reed motion to the tackle, its a run. 3 and 2, shotgun, its a pass; and so. I think fewer formations and substitutions would actually help our offense quite a bit.

I think a case could also be made that with a young QB, young TEs, young RBs, young OL; fewer plays could be beneficial as well. As I stated in the other thread, I think few plays that are run well could help this team finally build an identity and be better than a lot of plays run poorly.

While we're on it... I'd simply Trent's reads as well. Give him 2 reads per pass. Drop make look at 1 look at 2 throw. Simple and fast. If both reads are covered, throw it away or take off running. Sometimes it seems to me he spends too much time trying to go through is reads and he doesn't have 5-6 seconds with this line to scan the field for the best option. He needs to drop back and just hit the 1st or 2nd option in 3 seconds.

Simplify his reads....are you serious. Perfect idea, give him two reads per pass. The defense will know this, cover both and Trent will have to check down to Fred for a loss of two because of the pop watner B.S. If that's the case Trent's new nickname should be 'Simple Jack'.

  8. i know i'm showing my age here, but i'm going to quote the '80's movie 'License to Drive' in light of the current situation with our offense...

"We're dead. We're so dead they're gonna have to bury us twice..."

Game over ladies and gents...no way should we even think about the playoffs, no way should we think of a winning record, NO WAY should we think we can beat the Patriots...

Dick Jauron should have his head examined. How the hell do you fire your offensive coordinator 10 days prior to the season opener after installing the no huddle offense and signing T.O...

This season will be one to remember...(or not so much)..They better have Gruden's number on speed dial.

    We are in deep sh--.

You can hear it in his voice that this was not his call. He was comfortable with Turk (why? Who the hell knows)

  9. I also just listened to the presser. You can tell that this was not his choice " was I thinking about firing him two weeks ago....was I thinking about firing him three days ago? No" ( I paraphrased a little) This came down from above and Dick was the trigger man. He also sounds scared. And by God I hope he is.

The question is...why WASN'T this his choice? Why was he so comfortable with the play of the OL and Turk up to this point that Ralph had to step in and make the call. Is Dick that oblivious to what is happening around him. He sounds shocked that he had to make this call....

  10.

The Bills' starting defense kept the Steelers out of the endzone until almost the end of the 2nd half. Not too bad. And Maybin had a sack, which is awesome. I'd like to see Harris starting, though.

On offense, I'm starting to believe that Trent is sucktastic. The only saving grace for him is that Bell, if he gets healthy, will be playing LT, which will move Walker back to RT, and hopefully Butler will start at LG. That could be a pretty darn good line. Oh and TO's return will help.

How in the hell will TO's return help if TE can't get him the ball. TE can't throw a ball to save his life.

  11. Is this really any better than the article on Losman? The Losman article went for it all right out of the gate, just kept hurling superlatives but without any tempo. Of course, it might've been the editorial staff, which has been in shambles for a decade. This Edwards article was slower and more methodical, but it seems afraid to reach any conclusion and seems content just to use up some typeface.

    I'm sensing some artistic sarcasm....
