The coaching staff did its job Mckelvin has a learning disability or something. He lost this game.
The coaching staff is deficient. They've proven it over the past few years. It was a large part of losing, but there were other things that led to the loss as well, like every time Trent audibled, it went from a pass to a run.
-
Actually, I checked the rulebook on this, and they're only allowed to be a FOOT behind the line:
I have to admit I can't ever remember seeing it called more than once in the same game, though, and someone made the point earlier that the officials ignore it most of the time. Makes me wonder if one Mr. Belichick pointed it out to the line judge, making it a point of emphasis.
If only Jauron had pointed out all the holding the Patriots' O-line did, and made that a "point of emphasis." Yeah, okay.

The Chefs probably won't be willing to deal with/help out the Bills, because of Pioli.
-
One would hope.
It was dumb. Common sense dumb, football dumb. It was McKelvin coming-up small in a big situation.
-
I love him too, but fighting for the extra yards on that kick return, which allowed him to get stripped, was dumb. Really dumb.
-
even 5 yards deep in the end zone? He should have been told, " whatever you do, DON'T FUMBLE!!"
Yep, even 5 yards deep in the endzone. The object was to get rid of the 2 minute warning as a TO (outside of the change of possession), and then get a first down. But true, a "protect the ball at all costs" should have been issued. Although you think he'd know something like that.
-
Another thing I forgot to mention is coaching and how the Patriots have good coaching and the Bills don't, which I think is obvious. Monday night was exhibit Z (to go along with exhibits A-Y from the past 3 years) as to why this coaching staff will NEVER win a SB, and even winning a playoff game, should they get the team there, is highly questionable. McKelvin should have been told "return the kick no matter what, take 6 seconds off from the clock, and get down."

It may be the end of an era because of all the veteran leadership gone on D, leaving behind a lot of crappy players like Tully Banta Cain in more prominent roles. But Brady is still by FAR the best QB in the league. The Bills didn't lose so much as he won.
When the Bills got decent pressure on Brady, he folded like a cheap suit. When they didn't, like the last 2 drives, he tore through them. The guy has had great blocking, defense, and ST's for most of his career. Now the chinks in the armor are starting to show in all three areas.
The Bills LOST this game. As they often-times do.

I fully support Mitchell's stance that he has to take it as a threat and act accordingly to protect himself and his family. If only because when reading the above my first thought went to Sean Taylor.
Mitchell better watch out. He might just have a "sit down" with Sir Roger coming up.

Sometimes I think that Bills fans are the worst behaved fans in the league.
Disgusting if this is true.
What makes you think it was a Bills fan who did it?
-
The Pats* DB's are suspect but NOT the D Line!
True but no Richard Seymour is a big loss for them/help for everyone else. He was a beast for the Raiders last night.
-
Shawn Nelson made some crucial blocks and he scores a spectacular TD in his first game, I'm not sure you should or could expect much more from a Rookie.
I was wondering why he didn't figure more into the passing game. Even with his rawness.
-
I don't know. He's extremely talented.... I could see a team giving up a 5th to a 7th for him.
For a guy with back and depression issues? No way. Then again, there is always the Raiders...
-
He wasn't horrible last night, but he's no better than any of the other JAGs the Bills have at TE.
I thought Nelson was far better than a "JAG" last night, and while he had some bad plays, he's still a rookie with a lot of potential. I'd agree with starting him.
-
I think they grab Runyan now, and they deal Andrews in the off season for a mid-round pick.
They'd be lucky to get a box of tape in trade for Andrews. He'll have to be cut.
-
I thought he looked like a clueless, unfocused rookie most of the night.
What did you think of Schouman?
-
I just hope they go out and get an LB in free agency, but we know that won't happen.
What good LB do you just go out and get at this point of the season?
And I'd put Mitchell at MLB and start Harris or Palmer at Mitchell's spot.

I watchED the whole game, and truthfully I never even heard Wood and Levitre's name mentioned that much. SO that is a good thing, it means they were doing there job. However, Bell and his formations problems really hurt us. I beleive the Bell was also BULL RUSH by Banta-Cain and beaten for a sack. Overall, was VERY happy WITH THE O-LINE but I think the PATS D IS SUSPECT AND WILL BE A WEAKNESS.
No, it was also an inside move. Bell needs to work on that, as well as lining up on the LOS.
-
sorry but my money is on the eagles, their rt shane andrews is done for the year. so dont be suprised if runyan signs with eagles asap
Wow, missed the part about Shawn Andrews being put on IR. I'm surprised that Runyan hasn't signed with the Eagles yet. Must be looking for $10M/year.
-
The O-line is young and talented. They should be really good after about a month, and for years to come.
-
No argument here about their Defense, it's one of the more craptacular D's I've ever seen.
If the crowd is fired-up, as they should be, it will help disrupt the Saints' offense. The problem is with whom do they replace Poz?
-
I got a feeling the Bills are going to come out pissed, in front of their home crowd, and crush Tampa Bay.
The Saints...meh...not so much, Drew Brees will pick this Defense apart.
On the road, Brees struggles more. And they also don't have a very good defense.
-
are you really back after all these years? That was a good 5 years in between posts.
Yes Scott, I'm back. I'm having trouble staying logged-in, though.
-
The Patriots have NO shot at the SB this year. I'd even go so far as to predict a first round playoff loss, if they get into them.
Lynch may find himself on the bench when he returns...

Nice grasp on the situation.
