I am not talking about the players.  I know the fans are always going to make excuses.  My concern is the coach.  7 straight loses in close games.  We always seem to have some excuse for his terrible decisions.

I'm not buying the narrative created by the national sports media that the Bills can't win close games. I can think of several games during that period when the game was within one score late in the third quarter or early in the fourth and the Bills would step on the gas and run up the score for a decisive victory. That's closing out a close game strongly. In my opinion, the Bills are one of, if not the best, team in the NFL. The only way opposing teams can win is to play with everything they have and keep the score close and hope to eke out a 2 or 3 point win. They are that good!  In fact, during this same time period, how many games did the Bills lose by 2 scores or more? The only one that comes to mind for me is the Colts game. These pundits read the box scores and create a narrative. Our Buffalo Bills are a great team and they will win a lot of games this year. Kick back in your easy chair , pop open a cold brew and enjoy the ride

Putin, I didn't want pile on, but glad you can laugh it off.

Best, You can argue Kyle or even Wood.

Worst, that's hard as there are so many between Mike Williams (atrocious), Maybin, and its' sad I cant even remember that 6'5 WR from Indiana, was it Henry or something. He couldn't read a playbook, or couldn't basically read which is sad.  I remember years later was found dead by a river, speculated he committed suicide.  He was a nice guy, but a horrible pick.

That was James Hardy. Sad story. He is definitely high on the list of bad picks.

  3. A four question survey was sent to GMs and executives throughout the entire league.

Only 15 respond to the survey.

ONE of those responding said that McDermott is doing more with less. who is this nfl executive? How well does he know the Bills? What did the other 14 respondents have to say? Why did the author of the article choose this one over the others?  So many questions. The biggest question is, who cares what some unnamed executive think.

Mcdermott is a good coach and a reason the Bills are 6-2 right now but certainly not the only reason. there is plenty of talent on this team. Could they use a couple more stud players to take them to the next level? sure but hardly void of talent on the team now. For those that want national media recognition, it wont happen until the Bills beat one or two of the games between the Cowboys, Ravens, Steelers, Or Pats*.  Even beating the Browns this week wont do it . That will be more "whats wrong with the Browns and how do they fix it" rather than the Bills are really good.

I haven't had this much fun watching our team in a long time and feel they're only going to get better.

Yup, pretty much unwatchable.  I've felt that way for five years or more.   I never watch it.

Those idiots on Fox on Thursday night, broadcasting outside from NYC, high-fiving excited fans as though we were watching the today show are the worst.

    They're all bad.

I agree and would add the game broadcasters to the mix. Troy Aikman is brutal. He's usually very biased toward one team, comes across a bit whiny and is Captain Obvious at best with his color analysis.

  5. I think the preseason is the way to go. At his age, his greatest memory will be seeing his first game with his dad. Memories of getting ready for the game, dressing up in his Bills gear. The excitement on the ride there. The almost carnival like atmosphere walking through the tailgating. Going to the field house for all the fun kid stuff. Sitting in the stands and eating hot dogs cheering on the team. That will be what he remembers... at least that is how I remember my first game when I was 8 yrs old. Have a great time at the game with your son and GO BILLS!!

  6. Chris Brown wasn't even born yet when Greg Cook played. Cook is someone he would have read about in NFL history. I'm 65 years old and barely remember him. It was a piece of NFL trivia that he just didn't recall. I don't believe it to be enough evidence to say he doesn't know much about the NFL. I find him to be very knowledgeable and well informed, especially with the Bills and current happenings around the league.

It’s not that simple.... if you are John Murphy or Howard Simon or anyone who doesn’t have the luxury of a visual, how do you distinguish the difference between the two.

“great play by Josh Allen.”  You no idea which “Josh Allen” they are referring to.

    Allen.

If you have the luxury of a visual, then you would know which Allen they were talking about. Different numbers, off or def, etc..

If you don't have the luxury of visual, then the name on the jersey is irrelevant. It would be the duty of the broadcaster, radio host or reporter to tell you which one they are speaking about.
