Steve Sabol...hands down. NFL Films brought football to the masses.
I don't think Modell belongs in the HOF, his legacy is forever tarnished by the Cleveland debacle.
-
He got tackle numbers but I don't remember anything significant that he did here, no big plays. He was so so... the Jags overpaid.
Here's my question to you... besides Ray Lewis and Patrick Willis, what MLB/ILB makes the "big plays" you mention? Just curious, because tackling is priority #1 for any MLB.
-
I love the week 2 preseason chatter on here.
Shoulda picked Kuechly!
Sheppard sucks, worst MLB ever!
Nix draft record is awful!
Start McKillop and Carder!
CLOWNS...
-
I don't understand the title of the thread? Search for backup MLB?
-
would you mind changing your title? I thought he was injured.
As to the subject matter, let's worry about this if he gets a penalty. Otherwise, this is small potatoes....
How did that title imply he was injured?
Anything involving Stevie J is clown-based humor or involves some "b" rated rap video...

The new format is absolute garbage!
All day Saturday with a draft board, good food and family or friends is the way to go.
After the draft, add the new, good players to Madden and have at it...
I don't want to work all day, wait until 8 PM and then work the next day?
This format is like a Thursday night mens bowling league...no thanks.
-
Too bad he runs like a tight end now...no thanks.
-
I'm with you Clippers. Brady walks around the field like he owns the place, but he's the classic little guy chirping while the big, scary army stands behind him.
I've said it once, I've said 1,000 times since, without that line in front of him, he's a worthless, ineffective garbage quarterback.
You obviously like attention.
Say it one thousand times more and maybe, just maybe, you can wish it true...
He's in the all time top 15 at his position.
He's also the unequivocal leader of his team.

With all the black and silver hats in the world, Al chooses to sport the battery acid scalp-n-band-aid look. Wow!
I think both these guys live to 156 years old.
The stubborn tightwads always clench onto life (and their money) the longest.

Thank you, we are now all dumber for having read this post. Thank you for continuing to dumb down this board and the continued pussification of the Bills fan base.
Seriously, your post must be a joke and I will take it that way...if not, then please see above sentence...
Well said...
If you're a Bills fan picking a lifelong NFL backup over a multiple superbowl winning MVP quarterback, you've lost any and all credibility.
I like Fitz, I do, and I despise Brady as a supermodel chasing man clown, but...
BRADY for QB, hands down.
-
LT is all they have ,and he wont hold up ,and chan will expose there D the-they suck
It's week 1 ultimate homer...relax.
The Bills had a great week, great win and it was on the road, but the Jets are a great team.
-
750+ yards passing combined...yeah, they suck.
-
I thought the whole roids thing was actually false.
The story of him crossing the Canadian border was false.
The 2006-07 suspension was pretty real.
He was a juicer, maybe still is?
The guy's joints and ligaments are like dried out rubber bands.
I hope to hell he doesn't break or the pass rush will be average again.

I think he confuses the word "expect" with "hope".
I hope to coach the Bills to the playoffs.
The players hope to make the playoffs.
Gotta love Southern fried football coaches daggummit!
-
season hasn't started yet, relax bro he is our franchise QB and will be starting for us for the next 10 years.
That's the funniest thing I've read all morning!
He turns 29 in November.
He'll be out of the league in 5 years.
-
I think RGIII will be an equal if not better option at QB than Andrew Luck. For those not in the know he is Robert Griffin III from Baylor. His measurables are 6'2" 220lbs, freaky athletic and is being compared to Michael Vick with accuracy. In other words, he is a black John Elway.
Yeah OK.
So every black QB that can run is another Michael Vick, right?
Luck is a once in a decade prospect. This isn't Joey Harrington or JaMarcus Russell here.
-
if you're not sold on your current starting qb, i think you're nuts.
11/12 165 yrds in preseason game 3 (most important preseason game)
his receivers are making his stats look bad by the way. with all the dropped passes.
last season he took over, and we got better.
pls get with the program.
all the love for thigpen is what i dont understand???????? he has clearly regressed. very very obvious.
really, its that time to start backing fitz. time is now.
what the f?????
Where to start...
1. Your avatar is the Clippers? You call the Bills the Clippers of the NFL?
Do you love losing? Do you love mediocrity?
2. Myself, nor anyone on here loves Thigpen. He's a backup with starting NFL QB experience. Nothing more, nothing less.
3. If you think Fitzpatrick is a franchise NFL QB, you don't watch enough quality QB play. He's no where near the upper echelon of QB's. I love his grit, dude is a straight "gamer", but skill on par with P. Manning, Rivers, Rodgers, Brady, Ben Ro or Matt Ryan? Not even close.
4. You used preseason stats in defense of an NFL QB. Rob Johnson was a preseaon God, how'd that work out?
-
...and we finally have an adequate guy playing the position and you want to tip the apple cart with a lateral move! Dumb!
Who the hell wants adequate?
Adequate implies, average, median or "just OK".
I want adequate gas mileage from my F150, not from my hometown NFL team's signal caller.
Do you enjoy watching your favorite team go 4-12, 6-10 or 8-8 repeatedly?
I want a franchise type QB, nothing less. If that's not Garrard or Fitzpatrick, then you don't stop searching until you get that guy.
-
sweet the who to draft at QB wars are starting. Cue someone to come with a small school QB who they have been watching his whole career and could be really good post....
Yeah, but in reality they started after the 1996 season.
The Bills have bombed every QB option since then.
-
Nope, rather have fitz.... He's our starter for now and will be our starter next year aswell with Moore from Boise on the bench #gobills
Kellen Moore? Marginal NFL talent with underwhelming arm strength.
I'll take my chance at a franchise QB like Andrew Luck or Matt Barkley.
-
Here are the latest ESPN Power Rankings... ESPN Power Rankings
I think we're being badly disrespected. We clearly should be in the 20s
B*stards!
Why?
The Bills had the 3rd pick in the freaking draft.
Do you want them to be moved up because of their new uniforms?
-
Wayne Weaver is cheap. I'd sign him as a backup and dump Thigpen.
PTR
Backup?
I'd sign him to compete with Fitzpatrick.
Is all of Buffalo sold on Ryan Fitzpatrick as the "future" QB?
That's nuts to me.
Fitzy's gritty, a gamer and well-liked, but a franchise QB he'll never be.
-
You forget unproductive...while playing second stringers...but no matter...We continue to make sow's ears out of silk purses.
Again, why judge a guy with 5 years NFL experience and 12 starts under his belt from the preseason?
And what the hell is sow's ear and silk purses? That's just plain weird...
-
Love OU but I believe we will be drafting Andrew Luck.
Not happening.
The Bills are a bottom feeder, but they'll manage 4-6 wins and lose a top 3 pick.
I'll take a left tackle please...Matt Kalil from USC sounds like a great fit.
Congrats Andre, Steve, and Kent (r.i.p.)

Art had financial troubles in Cleveland, blamed the city itself for this and cried for a stadium, Then nixed a stadium deal. Then he was jealous the Indians and Cavs were getting new stadiums, pouted, and packed his team up and went to Baltimore. While in Baltimore, he again had financial issues and sold partial ownership to Steve Bisciotti. Do you need more?
Don't tell me about "media and marketing" when this guy from a NFL accounting standpoint, was a walking disaster.
Sabol was a visionary, Modell was a frugal ad executive who failed as a businessman and NFL owner multiple times.
