  2. The Pats haven't really cared about the run for several years now, they have Maroney and Fred Taylor as their backs. They haven't had a true featured back since the days of Curtis Martin, maybe Corey Dillon. It looks like that philosophy has paid off.

The Patsies don't need Moron-ey to run the ball.. even their 3rd string backup law-firm-named dude ran all over us.

An intense pass rush might be just about the only way to get it done. With holdouts and injuries this might be the weakest their O-line has been in a decade.. yet it's light years ahead of our O-line.

  4. You guys just don't get, maybe you never will...probably don't recall the 1984-85 seasons, back to back 2-14 season's. The Bills losing to the Dolphins for the entire decade of the 70's, not one win against Miami for 10 years.

RW will not make a change until he stop's hearing the "cha Ching" of the cash register.

To the eternally optimistic people who keep buying season and game tickets because they think some miracle will occur, hope you got your moneys worth from that Cleveland game.

    i hear you.

i am done spending any time, money or effort on this team until either the owner, the management, the coaching or the players show some sort of spine to indicate that they are willing to make changes. this cannot go on.

  5. Interesting (in my eyes) that the last time they were in Buffalo was the Two Bills Drive 2nd Annual Tailgate, and the last regular season meeting was the away game trip that I won and was supposed to go to but because of Katrina was changed to Miami.

Did I just see that McGee is out for today's game?? Was on the ticker on ESPN, but not sure if I saw right!

  6. You're right about Huff being a pretty big disappointment in Oakland, but he currently leads the league with 3 INTs, so maybe this is his breakout year as well.

Let's hope Donte continues being a leader on D and can make a few more plays this season and beyond to justify his 8th overall pick status.

Looks like Huff finally put it together, and hopefully Donte is in the zone for the rest of the season too.. Go Bills!

(Haven't we noticed that we've had better luck with Buckeyes than Longhorns??)

  7. Maybe the no-shows had more pressing matters. They DO have lives outside of the Bills.

I enjoyed it (as I think a lot of others did). I thought it was cut too short.

I thought I had seen Jimbo at the MNF game last week, so I'm guessing he did have pressing matters.

  8. Donte Whitner played great last week and played another excellent game today. His tackling has been superb, and letting him roam at free safety seems to really mesh w/ him. The Bills also move him around in regards to blitzing and playing underneath zones instead of only center field. Very very happy with his play

kudos to the D yesterday, we had quite a few open field tackles, where the first guy to make contact wrapped up the ball-carrier, even on special teams returns too. towards the end of the game you could sense that the D smelled victory, the hits were just that much harder and people getting to the ball-carrier that much faster.

  9. That's great, we drafted a weak, not very fast, something or other with our first pick?

Put the kid on the bench if he ain't ready.

Where the f*** is Chris Ellis?

That's an excellent way for him to get some in-game experience, riding the timber. After all, it would be pointless getting him some snaps with the first team defense against a weak team, at a home game.

  10. The Bills actually have an offense that can put up some big numbers against a bad defense like the Saints. I wouldn't expect to see a "clock-killing" prevent offense from Buffalo just to keep Brees and Co off the field. Please no heavy dose of runs up the middle. This is one when you tell your offense to outscore the other team. With Owens, Evans, Jackson and Reed you have the weapons to actually get the job done. I expect a very close, high scoring, entertaining game this week.

agreed, this one should be fun to watch.

i'd like to see the D lay some lumber on Brees, shake him up a little. the same goes for the tall skinny receivers Colston, Meachem, Moore and the lot, make them 'pay the price' after catch as someone above noted. also, i'd like to see us play some mind games with Shockey, get under his skin and let him shoot his mouth off

  11. My concern is that with Butler in we seemed to be able to run the ball better but many times towards Bells side or middle. Hoping Scott can run block Butler injury looked like its going to take sometime.

some game reviews note that Scott played well when he came on.. my opinion was that he wasn't doing a great job keeping Trent clean, and the runs to the right weren't gaining much either. Coach Kugler needs to work on him some more..

  12. I believe Kelsay was bringing on the heat constantly....I don't ever remember a 2-game stretch where Kelsay has played outstanding.

major props to the pass rush unit, D-ends, D-tackles and the LBs.. i don;t care if the Bucs sack or have a bad O-line, Fewell did not let up right till the end which is the way to do it!

in the 4th qtr Kawika smelled blood, he spent more time on their side of the LOS than ours!!

for all the critics who think we shouldn't revel in beating a bad team.. i say we should pat ourselves in the back for a dominating performance. excellent morale booster this before the Saints game.

  13. on the first one Spencer Johnson made a terrific play with Ellison following it up. Just want to see that they gets some props.

i agree.. there was a lot of trash talk on this board before the season about Ellison, but to my untrained eye he looked like he was all over the field on Monday, made a few tackles, and guess what, he's still on the field and will be playing on Sunday.

what use is it to the team having a monster like Poz who can't stay on the field for the full season - shades of Timmy Connolly of the Sabres!!
