    Interior O-line Observation

    Yea, I know it was a meaningless 1st half of a preseason game. Nevertheless, here are my observations on the interior of the O-line which was basically all I was interested in watching:

     

    Wood: Wow. I now believe all the practice hype about this guy. He looked great. Great intensity, pushed guys into the turf, never quit. He's probably going to be our best lineman by the end of the season.

     

    Hangartner: Unimpressive. Trivial if at all "upgrade" over Fowler/Preston.

     

    Levitre: Abused. Consistently pushed into the backfield. I guess there's some truth to the short arms thing.

     

    I would not at all be suprised if Wood is moved back to center in 2010 where he played in college if Hangartner struggles this season.

     

     

    What do you mean Woods at center in 2010? Now would be better.

    Jesus H, give the kid a break. First live action of his career and you got him going to the bench already. Let's see how he rebounds. That's the true measure here. He's got a lot of camp and pre-season left so there's lots of time for improvement. This game just may have served him very well.

     

    GO BILLS!!!

     

     

    I'd give the kid one more game to improve for this year. Woods looks ready! Did you guys

    see him push that dude 10 yards up the field? That was great.

    Sorry folks but I am new to all this new fangled hi-tech stuff. I got to see Cookie play and he was simply the best there ever was! He even wanted to play linebacker. This man was 6'2" and 250 with no body fat! He could run with power and speed, caught the ball as well as any back and man could he block! I once saw a play in the Rockpile where he blocked a lineman and a linebacker at the same time. I vote for Charlton Chester "Cookie" Gilchrist!
