No Im not gonna determine how good he is off one game I already know he sucks. Point is everybody says he's good but now he has no RB he's gonna have to throw more and we'll more than likely get the same result as in the Jets game...
My bad complete 22 passes not throw. And I mean its not like he had to thread the ball in there on those 3 touchdowns.. Spiller made that play, TJ was wide open and so was Stevie so what did he do again? He supposed to make complete passes to wide open receivers I mean he usually misses or throws behind them so stop the madness...
No, he's not going to have to pass more. Choice was picked off the scrap heap from two teams that cut him and our online opened enough holes for him to get close to 100 yards in 3 quarters agianst a team with a respectable rush defense.
I dont know what you were looking at, but I was at the game and Fitz looked great. There were 2-3 times he tried to throw to Choice who never looked for the ball, and that happened once more with a WR as well as a play where the coverage was blown up and he intelligently threw the ball at the ground. So, that's about 9-10 incompletions that I would blame soley on him; how is that bad? Also, he DID fit the ball into tight coverage on the non-pass interference call in the endzone. Thanks for reminding me that no other QB EVER throws to an open reciever.

The fact that 5th Avenue isn't included makes that whole tournament null and void.

Link? Dont see that anywhere
Looks like the Pro Football Talk article saying he was leaving was just a GIANT guess.
"Have not found @JasonLaCanfora saying Mario is "leaving" w- no deal except on PFT. Think PFT drew that conclusion on their own"

the guy who invented bourbon? the popular nickname for institutionalized racial segregation?
Damn.. beat me to it.

Jim Crowe wasn't actually a real person... but as a wise man once said "forget it, he's on a roll.."

Only thing I remember is a lot of people (including myself) praying Patrick Willis somehow fell to us.

You've never seen it? That movies a classic.
Oh i've seen it, but not in many years. Time for a refresher.

Yeah, their headline makes no sense.
That said, this reminded me of the scene from Falling Down.
"Sorry sir, we stopped serving breakfast at 11:30."
You sir just picked my next Netflix selection. Thanks.

He looked very stylish on Sunday rocking those sunglasses under the black clouds though.
Is that Dick Jauron behind those Foster Grants?
It certainly is.

Of topic, but did anyone sitting around section 336 notice that it sounded like either a ref left his mic on, or they were piping noise through the speakers?

My starting running backs and wide receivers this week are:
Steven Jackson
Frank Gore
Greg Jennings
Hines Ward
There is a WR/RB flex option in my league, with my other two studs Dwayne Bowe and Matt Forte looking for a play. So, Matt Forte with that afful looking Chicago offense vs the Steelers D, or Dwayne Bowe vs the all world CB Nnamdi Asomugha?

I'd go with Campbell. The Rams are that bad.
And i love Michael Clayton this week.

I Recently went to MagicJack, and couldn't be happier. Me and the girlfriend had been cell phone only, but the Verizon data plan for blackberries hindered our minutes due to fiances. We probably use it everyday, hooked up to a real phone.
Pros:
- $20 a year
- Call quality is equal to cell phones or better
- 30 Day free trial
Drawbacks:
- Must be connected to the PC, with an active internet connection for phone to work. If the computer shuts down, the call will go to a voicemail service (much like cell phones) that is included in the $20 a year deal. A very cool feature though, is you can choose to have voicemails emailed to you. Not sure I'll ever use but very cool. Also, if you do not leave your computer on you may likely see an incease in your electric bill. (I leave mine on anyways, PC is connected to the projector with the DirecTv and 360)
- Obviously you need a decent connection. I have the highest DSL speed my area offers, 7.1 Mb/s, however I find no difference in connection speed while surfing the internet while on the phone.
I'm recommending this to a lot of people as an awesome second phone. Do I think you could use it as a primary phone? Yes, but I wouldn't like the idea of my phone being dependent on the internet AND power both being on.
If you have any questions about more of the specifics, I would be glad to answer them. Also if you are interested they are currently allowing a 30 free trial. (about 50 bucks for the jack, which includes a year of service)

If Defense matters why didn't the Steelers D have to step out on the field. If a football game is decided on all sides of the ball why not let both teams have their offenses and defenses out on the field to determine the outcome of the game?
Because all sides already did that for 60 minutes. It's called regulation.

The overtime rule is not broken. Can anyone here really say Tennessee deserved to win, or with that bills-like prevent zone coverage that they would have stopped Pitt had they needed to do a second drive? The Steelers ate the Titans D alive through the fourth quarter, and they refused to make a change. That's why they lost, and would have lost no matter how many possessions each team had.
It amazes me that the same people who have been pinning a majority of the Bills struggle on a lack of pass rush/defensive effectiveness immediately think that only an offense has the right to win or loose a football game. Games are won and lost on BOTH sides of the ball, even special teams. It happens every week in the NFL. That's why the overtime rule is fine the way it is.

Way to keep it classy with the drunken bowling alley. That's worth a half letter grade.
I haven't done a 2QB league but I'm pretty sure it's correct to fade the traditional strategy of waiting on a QB. That's an ugly QB lineup. OTOH your league mates likely went overboard if you were able to get such a sick RB trio so you were able to pick up great value with SJax and Gore...
Not sure it's a good enough tradeoff since you have neither a top 10 WR or an elite TE.
Would definitely try to make some trades.

I made a bunch of trades, and wanted to get your oppinion on my updated roster:
QBS: Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning, Marc Bulger
RBS: Matt Forte, Stephen Jackson, Frank Gore, Cedric Benson, Jamal Lewis
WRS: Greg Jennings, Dwayne Bowe, Hines Ward, Devin Hester, Devery Henderson, Jeremy Maclin
T.E: Kellen Winslow, Greg Olsen, Dustin Keller
K: Ryan Longwell
D/ST: Bears, New Orleans (great week one play vs DET)

This reminds me of playing two-hand touch football in the street when I was a kid. If it hit a branch or utility wire it was a do-over. Ah, memories.

Of the regular season? You and I both know there will be a plethora of posts by the end of the 1st quarter tomorrow claiming he's slow/undersized/lost and we should have drafted Orapko. I'm certain any pleas for rational thought will fall on deaf ears.
What's a rational thought? Perhaps you can provide a link from this board that highlights one. I'll wait.

Ocho Dinco's 2008 stats
Rec Yds Avg Long TD
53 540 10.2 26 4
Come on, seriously? Pick his worst year and post the stats. Awesome.
How about Whitners BEST stats: 2006, where he tied for being the 36th leading tackler in the NFL.
Games Solo Ast Total INT
15 67 38 105 1
Seriously, Ochocinqo has at least been to a Pro Bowl. 5 times actually, and besides Palmer is the star of the team. If everyone with less than 70 yearly solo tackles and 2 CAREER int's thought they had the right to run their mouth no one would ever shut up.

Just drafted for my league Saturday night. We held the draft in a party room in a local bowling alley. One of our owners was really late, and everyone except me started drinking... alot. This was the result.
10 man league, starts 2qb,2rbs,2wrs,1 wr or rb option,1te,k,d/st. Points for yardage, touchdowns, and receptions.
QBS: Ben Roethlisberger, Jake Delhomme, Marc Bulger
RBS: Matt Forte, Stephen Jackson, Frank Gore, Cedric Benson, Julus Jones, Fred Taylor
WRS: T.O., Dwayne Bowe, Hines Ward, Devin Hester, Donnie Avery, Patrick Crayton, Jeremy Maclin
T.E: Kellen Winslow, Dustin Keller
K: John Kasay
D/ST: Bears
I am not crazy about my qbs, but because of our leagues flex RB/WR option the fact that I will have Matt Forte, Stephen Jackson and Frank Gore all starting at the same time with their pass catching abilities (PPR League) give me great hope for the season.
Chip Kelly HC! (possibly for the Browns)
