  1. The numbered sizes *should* correspond to the actual measurements on the jersey. If you lay the jersey flat and measure from one side to the other just under the sleeves it should measure half of the numbered size (Thus being a whole jersey if you include the other side).

If you take your large fitting 48 and it measures 24" across, then the jersey is the right size and you are indeed a tiny man. Any larger than that and it's just mislabeled.

  2. You dont catch a team like the Pats by surprise for longer then one or two series'. They would quickly make adjustments and figure out how to slow that down.

If you have to rely on stunts or gimmicks, you wont win many games against good coached teams.

I would not mind seeing it sprinkled in here or there. But as much as it makes a D tired, those big O lineman also can get pretty winded.

So nothing like the Tuna obliterating the Pats at home last season by running the wildcat formation over and over? Yeah, they adjusted to that real well <_<

  3. Jerseys are price fixed by Reebok/NFL until a certain date, it was the beginning of October or so last season. Anywhere you go right now a current player jersey will be $80. Last season I got a jersey for my girlfriend for her birthday and I waited until that date, right after there were a bunch of 20-25% off coupons at various stores.

  4. From NFL.com:

Compares To: TONY SCHEFFLER, Denver -- Like Scheffler, Nelson is best served lined wide or in motion than when asked to work in-line. He has just adequate strength, which prevents him from being much of a blocker at the line of scrimmage. He shows very good open-field acceleration and works back to the ball well, but does struggle tracking the deep throws, especially those over his outside shoulder. He is the type that you will need to compensate by having a physical blocker to share positional duties.

What does this have to do with Peters?

I think this was supposed to be quoted instead, another Peters suckup.

No he didn't. Of course as a 31 year old undrafted LB, who was cut numerous times, before finally having his career season, he knew he was not going to command the money Peters' knows he can, and will, eventually get.

Now, if he was a 26 year old undrafted TE, who has evolved into one of the games' elite LT's, as proven by his being named to two consecutive Pro Bowls, Harrison may have held out for a bigger contract himself....Just wondering.

  6. Trade Peters to the Eales/Lions for their first rounders (Lions 20, Eagles 21) and thirds. Use one of the thirds to trade for Scheffler. Use the Bills two first rounders on a DE and LT (in either order), the second round pick on a LG (Robinson, the best in class may still be on the board) and sign Keiaho or June at OLB and then go best available with the other 3rd through 7th. From last year's team we'd regress on LT (albeit not as much as people think since JP played only in 11 or 12 games and took 3-4 of those to get back in shape) and possibly at LG, but would probably be much stronger at C (how can anyone not be an upgrade over Preston and Fowler?), LB (between Keiaho/June and Poz being in his 2nd full year), TE, WR and DL (between Schobel coming back and a first rounder DE). Trent has one more year under his belt, we have the same RB's (albeit missing Lynch probably two games) and our secondary is probably a push in losing Greer but getting Florence and Leodis having another year under his belt. Our special teams should be better (the light went on for Leodis somewhere around mid-season) due to increased depth as well. If we can play relatively injury-free and hit on most of our early round picks this team may not be half bad and may be set up pretty nicely for the next few years--TO and Schobel being the only real oldsters on the squad.....

You basically hit the nail on the head. Anyone who thinks that trading for Scheffler is worse than drafting a potential bust TE needs their head screwed back on, especially when there's depth in other positions needed that could be better filled by those high picks.

  7. This is Skip Bayless we're talking about here...the same Skip Bayless that wanted to deny Tiger Woods the title of best golfer in the world (and during his prime no less), and the same Skip Bayless that said Lebron would never pan out because he skipped college.

Also the same Skip Bayless who claimed last week that the final day of the Masters was the biggest single day sporting event in the US.
