  1. Brohm looks way more like an NFL QB should look. He made quick decisive decisions, had velocity on all his passes, showed he can make all the throws, short, meduim, long, ins, outs, slants, receiver covered or not.

Brohm is a lot better package than Trent. It's not going to be too long before Brohm is the starting QB for the Bills.

Agree - when Edwards gets injured week 3...we'll have our long-term solution. Go Brohm!

  2. I agree with everything you say, but could we just eliminate "poised" from the vocabulary of QB evaluation? The whole thing smacks of a Miss America pageant. Save it for the people who don't know what they're talking about when Mark Sanchez is inexplicably unsuccessful at costing his team a game.

We leave it in there b/c of guys like Jay Cutler. It is impt.

  3. I haven't argued that trent shouldnt be allowed to compete. What I have said is that trent won't win the competition.

Simply put, I see no way that Brohm loses this battle, I see nothing in trent that screams "starting QB".

again, IMHO, there is no way trent wins this job. He's a rob johnson, great in practice, awful in games.

tend to agree w/you here...not so much that he is awful, but rather that he has been fragile. the line didn't help, but all QBs must adapt to their situations and find a way to stay on the field. if not, you risk losing your job.

  4. But Brohm has certainly done nothing to convince me - an average fan - that he's that guy. And I'll be surprised if he convinces Gailey. I think you'll be disappointed when you learn the preseason 'pecking order' and opening day starter.

Maybe the least impressive post in the past month....what, in your brilliant opinion, should Brohm have done better from your view from a cube in Seattle?

  5. The Minnesota Vikings have waived quarterback R.J. Archer, a rookie free agent from William and Mary.

I have seen this guy play at WM and he looks like a stud.

What do you guys think? Is worth a taking a shot at? He won't cost us anything.

You are now on double secret stupid post probation...1 more bad post and your mouse will f'ing explode and kill you.

No and No! William and Mary? Honestly, I was high school QB and could have started at W&M....plz stop.

  7. Gailey said that he had a specific QB rotation scheduled for each of the OTA practices. Fitz and Edwards would get the most snaps 1st and 2nd in the rotation, due to Brohm and Brown getting all of the rookie minicamp snaps. These voluntary OTAs are almost over, so keep your eyes posted for the first man through in the rotation at the mandatory minicamp. That is the QB that Gailey believes is leading the others. Keep your eye open for the second man through in the rotation - that will be the first QB's primary competitor...

Good point. I truly think there are a few impt points that will also play into this:

    1 - Durability

2 - Nix and Gailey (new blood) - if Nix was the one behind acquiring Brohm, then he believes in him, and if he shows Gailey enough he may get the nod

3 - Even if they go with Edwards, the winner of the backup job could be impt, as Edwards likely won't play 16 games for either performance or injury issues

    Vote Brohm.

  8. From our friend, Tim Graham at ESPN.

"I think Trent was victimized by a lack of support and talent that was overestimated," Dilfer said. "The offensive line was pathetic. The offensive system was as poorly coached as any system in the NFL.

"He's the exact opposite of what Mark Sanchez has had in terms of a structure in place."

We have a trading chip who will be moved for McNeill or Gaither. I am hearing Lynch is gone.
