  1. Yes, because this staff has such a storied history of good personnel decisions.

How long did it take for them to finally let Greer off the bench, who has now been our best coverman for 2 years (and who they're about to let walk for no good reason)?

How long did they keep trotting the utterly ineffective Ko Simpson out there?

How long did they wait before they let Stevie Johnson on the field?

How long did they let Kiwaukee 3rddown conversion personally move the sticks for opponents?

How long did they let Melvin Fowler get rag-dolled all over the field before they pulled him?

Suggesting that Hamdan can't play because this inept staff thinks he can't is the height of foolishness. ANd being one of the few people around here who has actually wached Hamdan play in games that meant something I'm telling you, he can play.

Well that can agree with they are slow to act.

But this Hamdan is no backup.

  2. So you saw both of his attempts in 2003 while being tossed into a game with the redskins (http://www.nfl.com/players/gibranhamdan/profile?id=HAM142624) and can determine from that that he is crap and won't amount to anything in the NFL? How are you not an NFL talent evaluator? Especially since you were able to see all of Buffalo's other mistakes before they happened.

He did have success in NFLE

In January 2006, Hamdan was re-signed by the Seahawks and allocated to NFL Europa for the third straight year. A broken ankle injury incurred on the first down of the first drive of game 7 cut short his season once again, Hamdan was the league's leading passer and earned Offensive Most Valuable Player honors. He started 7 games and posted 102 completions out 162 attempts for a total of 1629 yards, 12 touchdowns and 3 interceptions, posting a perfect passer rating in the 3rd game[1][2] of the season against Frankfurt Galaxy. He holds the record for average passer rating for the season in NFL Europe at 113.4. This would not be enough to make the Seahawks however, as he was waived on August 28, 2006.

I have seen him in enough preseason action to know.

    Just trust me on this.

  3. What proof do you have of that?

I'm guessing you have reviewed all that game film of his and can make that judgement call.

He might be crap, but its kind of hard to determine that without having much to go by except that he is a third stringer.

I have seen enough of his play to know.

The deal is this, when I watch a game for years I don't need to wait until after the fact to regonize something.

    Many many fans do .

I don't need proof any more than I needed proof on Losman when I felt he was a bust early on in his career as most others thought they had a pro bowl player.

  4. Where shall we give credit? To these flunkies: Jeff Littman, Dick Jauron, Jim Overdorf, and John Guy? None of them are NFL success stories, yet all hold significant sway over who Buffalo grabs in UFA.

I'll be optimistic when the entire front office gets the nuclear treatment. Until that time, nothing will change.

Right I see no reason to give them credit.

  5. is the bills "braintrust" capable of locating and signing upgrades? today's moves are a step in the right direction...but they are worth ZERO if we can't replace them with better players.

what exactly have ralph's lackeys done to give you any confidence the team will improve? yes they've cut two underachievers, but they've accomplished nothing that makes the team better. i'm guessing they have someone in mind that will be an upgrade over dockery, but i shudder to think who it might wind up being.

I have to say that I DO have more confidence now.

I was expecting them to hang on to these clowns forever like that Losman decision which didn't make any sense.

They knew they didn't want Losman yet they had him play out the contract when they could have been developing a backup or could have signed someone like Garcia.

I think what we are seeing is Jauron asserting his opinion and overriding Guy and Modrak.

Maybe that is why Modrak was making those comments in the paper last week.

  6. You can understand missing a fair amount in the draft, but there is no excuse for such a poor batting average in pro scouting. Stroud is good, but everyone knew Stroud was good - he was a pro-bowler. The only genuine good signings of a Free Agents I can think of in recent years are Stroud, Langston Walker, Chambers, and maybe Bryan Scott. Jury is still out on Mitchell and Spencer Johnson, but they're looking at least ok (but so was Dockery after one year).

I don't think Stroud has had much impact at all.

He was supposed to push the pocket to improve the pass rush.

  7. Because everybody around him, from friends and old coaches to team mates and agents say he's a kid with a good heart. I choose to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Wait a minute, did you see some kind of event where they ALL lined up to say this?

I think you're telling yourself this because you want to believe it.

Its almost expected that a coach or teammate will try to support him when asked by a reporter, but you seem to have a few tactful responses confused with EVERYONE saying he's a good kid.

  8. Come on! He intenionally mowed down that woman and left her bleeding to death in the middle of a busy street because he couldn't be bothered to get out of his car in the rain to help her. Then he was caught red-handed smoking marijuana and luckily wasn't charged for it even though they had him dead to rights. Then they found an illegal gun in his car, which he surely was going to use to rob or kill someone. If that doesn't scream "thug" to you...

I suppose you believe that a sober driver can run into a human being and not realize that he hit something.

Wow your parents sure did raise a gullible little kid.

  9. I was so excited when we got number 23. I still felt he is a good guy, but surrounds himself with less than steller crowd. I'm hoping Godell just fines him, and gives him the 3 strikes your out rule.

I know im in the minority, but I'm pulling for Lynch to turn it around. He's young, and we all make stupid mistakes.

Why is it that fans like to believe that lynch is alright if not for who he associates with.

How do you know that he isn't the MOST criminal of the crowd he runs with?

Listen playing football doesn't make that retard any more upstanding than the crowd he runs with.

  10. JP has been in the league 5 years, however he has played in THREE DIFFERENT systems for THREE DIFFERENT Coaches and none of them took advantage of his strengths. He also has only played in about the same amount of games over 5 years as Trent Edwards has in 2. He was not put in position to show his true self. The people on this board that don't like JP may be right & he will never be any good, however if he gets in the right situation with the right team with GOOD Coaching he may yet be good, time will tell.

    Are you kidding me?

How long have you been watching football.

Some fans are vey slow learners.

  11. Would the collective board explode if JP became a good QB on another team? The "I told ya so"'s and the backtracking by those who claimed to never want to get rid of him despite claiming he suck would be fun to watch.

The sheer entertainment value of such an event would be worth paying a registration fee for this place.

It was already fun watching the JP fanboys eat crow.

We'll get to see them eat some more crow if Losman ever gets on the feild again.

I hope he does make the Jets roster.

  12. If it's not the coaching, please tell us why did Trent Edwards suck @ss the remaining ten games of the year. You do realize that in his eight seasons as a NFL head football coach, Jauron's offenses ranked near the bottom (it averages out to be around 24th). That's eight f__ ing seasons. You guys are living in a dream world if you think it's not the head coach.

You also do realize it's very possible that both Losman AND the coaches sucked, don't you? Wise up and get a clue. Dick Jauron sucks monkey balls. 7 of 8 seasons worth and counting thanks to Ralph "Oops, I jumped the gun" Wilson.

With Losman it's not a situation of AND (jauron), AND would imply that Losman is better than I'm giving him cedit for.

    He isn't.

Regardless of Jauron, Losman is uselss as an NFL QB.

    Losman is a coach killer.

  13. I've been a Bills fan since I was a kid and I have seen fans of every team. In my near 30 years as a Bills fan I have lived in 13 states and I am now overseas for the 6th time, so I've seen it all. I've seen the guys that are a Cowboys fan at the beginning of the season and a Patriots fan at the end of the season. I have lurked this forum and many other NFL or Bills/Sabres related forums for about 10 years now and never really been the guy that posts much. Even though things have been hard as a fan at times I have to admit that the biggest thing that pisses me off now is the fair weather fan. GO AWAY OR CHEER!!!

I guess I am a Troll now too...

No the term troll is 100% meaningless, it's used by the mindless who have no other way of replying.

Instead I would say that you are somewhat of a pollyanna with this bandwagon crap, people that promote cheeing for a team no matter what have serious issues.
