  1. I think your friend is an idiot.

i dont no maybe. he tried to tell me last year jackson only ran a 137 yards against the pats because there defence sucked.then ten mins later he sits here and tells me that the pats defence is going kill jackson and he will not finish the game on the monday night game.so i asked him who is so great that pats picked up in free agence for there deeeeeee and he could not answer me.

  2. I could be wrong but I just don't see them taking Raji. They have to address positions of greater need: pass rushing DE, TE, OL (even more so if Peters traded).

Having traded for Stroud, signing Spencer Johnson & recently using a 1st on McCargo (despite trying to trade him away) they also still have Williams. I doubt they see this as a position of need.

In fact my take on the coaching staff's/front office's approach to the roster:

QB- With Edwards as starter, having signed Fitzpatrick and still having Hamdan, maybe they'd take a QB in the later rounds

RB- Despite Lynch's impending suspension, having Fred Jackson & Omon

WR- Having signed Owens and using a 1st round pick on Hardy last season, I believe they think they're set at this position

TE- a position usually addressed in 3rd round or later. Last time they used a 1st rounder on a TE was in 1983 on Tony Hunter and he bombed. If they think Pettigrew is the best player on their board then maybe they'll take him but I expect them to wait til the 2nd or 3rd round

OL- this org has ignored this unit in the early rounds of the draft for a long time. At this point, I'm not sure that'll change. I hope that changes as they need better young talent

DL- As I said, I don't think they'll take a DT. We know DE is the need so I think that's the likely use of the 1st round pick Who is another question. I was impressed that Maybin added all of that muscle but since it has affected his explosiveness, he seems to be a tweener best suited for the 3-4 which the Bills don't use. I think the pick will be the more well-rounded player in Ayers.

LB- Hopefully Jauron stating that Ellison is the starter was just blowing smoke. They can't rely on just undersized guys like him and "great motor" overachieving guys like Di Giorgio and Costanza. This may still be addressed with somebody like Freddy Keiaho but I would hope they use no later than a 3rd on this unit.

DB- Maybe they'll use a later round on a player for depth & special teams. I don't think it's a priority position

They picked hardy up in the second round

  3. what if the bills trade peters to philly for there 21st pick and there 3rd round pick. With are 11th pick if RAJI is still there we take him.If he is gone we either take Aaron Maybin or Everette Brown or even concider brian cushing. And at 21 we Brandon Pettigrew.second round we take the best available OT.

  4. what if we trade peters to philly for there first and a third. We could get Everette Brown or Aaron Maybin at 11. And with phillys 21st pick we could get Brandon Pettigrew.and the second round we either take the best DT or the best OL avaliable

  5. Now that TO is in the fold and outside of one more OL piece the offense appears to be all set. I just believe that to make this defense (Cover 2) work, we have to have consistent pressure on the opposing QB. It's time to utilize this secondary that we have heavily invested into. I'm expecting us to be taking DE Aaron Maybin at the #11 spot.

It seems that Modrak and the rest of the Bills' scouts were paying a lot of attention to Maybin. Check out the Aaron Maybin news part from 2/27/09.

I hope brian orakpo is still there at :thumbsup::w00t::thumbsup: 11

  6. I was wondering if anybody had heard anything about JP Losman? Wanted to know if any teams have spoken to him? I know he's not a favorite around these boards, but I'd still like to see him have a shot some where else.

HE IS WAITING FOR AREANA FOOTBALL TO START

  7. Steve Johnson and Justin Jenkins. I really liked Justin Jenkins In pre-season. Johnson looked in spot -duty also. I think Jenkins isn`t getting a fair shake. Has good size ,decent wheels and great hands. Could be another Freddy Jackson story if given a shot. Johnson looked to be agressive going after the ball, unlike Mr. Hardy.

    I AGREE :wallbash:

  8. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Hardy was NOT, repeat NOT given a fair shot in his rookie year due in large part to Trent's unwillingness to throw the deep ball.

The man is 6'5" and used to play basketball. Watching him play in person I was surprised at how fast he was. Yet how many times did we go deep to him in 2008? How many times did he even get the opportunity to come down with a jump ball?
