  1. On Sirius radio with Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan, Mike Lombardi was talking about destinations for McNabb, and said that Buffalo should have been pursuing him months ago. Trent Edwards is leading them nowhere, and unless they're banking on Clausen being there at 9, there have nothing on their team that can excite the fan base and lead the team.

When they were talking about Clausen they said a lot of his stats came on crossing routes over the middle to Tate, and he doesn't show elite accuracy on downfield throws. Also questioned his leadership ability and commitment level.

All 3 hosts agreed the Bills are in the best position to make a move on McNabb, but if McNabb doesn't want to come here, he can pull a Richard Seymour and refuse to sign a long term deal...and unlike the Raiders, no other team would trade premium draft picks for a 1-year player.

Wow I wish I could make a living stating the obvious!

  2. Not saying the guy will be good, but why are we to assume he won't?

Because Mike McCarthy, god of all that which is QB, put him on the practice squad?

    Is that really the reason?

Because the guy couldn't even beat out Aaron Rodgers as starting QB. What a freakin' bum. How obvious.

    <_<

  3. Green, 34, has been entrenched at right tackle for the Silver & Black the last three campaigns, tallying 38-starts. His unstable play and tendency to rack up penalties has been one of the major issues along the trenches for the Raiders.

The Bills have a need along the offensive line and Green is one option that won’t be pricey and that has starting experience.

Gee don't we already have a poor offensive right tackle who gets a lot of penalties?

Hmm..domestic violence charge, assault charge at an airport....

The RAIDERS are happy to get rid of him?

    Nice job Buddy...

No, I think we have a poor offensive left tackle that gets a lot of penalties. Now have a matched set.

  4. OK this is gonna be a challenge but I will give it a shot to see what y'all think. With the help of Madden 2010 this is the D that I tried a few times. I changed some ratings up or down based on what they did last year. For example, Wilson Williams and Florence was upped and players like Whitner, Maybin, downed. Set on Spectate mode.

    LE Stroud

    NT Williams

RE Schobel ( if he retires oh well thanks dude)

    LOLB Ellison

    LILB Poz

    RILB Mitchell

    ROLB Maybin

    LCB Mc Kelvin

    RCB Florence

    Nickle McGee

    SS Wilson

    FS Byrd

Played a few games with Kelsey at LOLB dont think that is gonna work way to slow in coverage.

Think Wilson is good enough to start over Scott.

Think McGee is better suited as a nickle back

Ellison makes more plays than you would think.

If Schobel retires put in Kelsey at LE and Stroud at RE.

    Maybin played better at OLB.

Was able to get more pressure with Marcus at DE.

Teams still were able to run the ball at Mitchell's side.

Interesting to many blitz packages you can run.

Overall based on this D we can get more pressure on the QB but still we give up yards on the ground.

    Whatta mess!!

  5. Jamal Williams would be a great signing ,a former Pro Bowl NT.With the high demand for a quality NT why not any interest yet....wouldn't he help the Bills?

Yes he would, but it would have to come to no one else showing any interest before he would decide to look here.

  6. Or is it just that hard to convince players to come to Buffalo?

Who in the hell would want to come to Buffalo? Until they show a commitment to something other than substandard mediocrity, the only players this franchise will be competing for are the dregs with teams like Oakland and Detroit.

    :wallbash:

  7. Face it Bills fans, there's just no way that the firm of Nix, Gailey, and Whaley can fix what ails the team all in one year. It's apparent to me that they're not even going to try.

It really sucks to be a Bills fan right now. The writing is on the wall.

Not really sure if they aren't going to try or can't try (handcuffed by Littman and Co.) or whether it's just that no one wants to come to Buffalo and play for this dysfunctional franchise. Face it, if I was a decent 1st stringer, Buffalo would probably be the last place I would go visit (except for maybe Oakland). What they will end up with is other team's 2nd and 3rd string cast-offs, which is basically equivalent to the majority of their talent right now.

BTW, it has basically sucked to be a Bills fan for the last 10 years, why should this year be any better?

  8. if he left without a contract, the two sides most likely didn't agree on a deal and he's not coming here

Amazing they wasted the whole day talking to a marginal backup that they couldn't even sign. Gives the fans great hope for the off-season.

    :wallbash: :wallbash:

  9. sorry my friend.....but you sporting a miller jersey won't be enough support to help USA win gold. We are poised to become the top host city for gold medals. Only fitting that we destroy the States on Sunday and claim another gold in the biggest of all winter games. Im sorry, but its destiny. After this is all over, we can shelve our differences and refocus on our beloved Buffalo Bills, and cheer them on into the post-season.

Wouldn't actually say that Canada destroyed the US. No one even predicted the US to be in medal contention, much less the gold medal game. And to lose in OT to a far superior team (after all, it is Canada's national sport) is no disgrace on the part of the US.

  10. Wasn't he essentially hurt most of the year?

Didn't he look pretty solid in his limited action while he was healthy?

I'm interested in hearing what I missed watching the games - I don't remember ever being very upset with what I saw from him, but maybe I've forgotten.

It just seems like so much of the screaming about the state of our offensive line was ignoring the fact that 3/5 starters were out much of the year.

Please - tell me which games I should look back at - I have them recorded - to find where Bell sucks - particularly for a guy coming in with so little experience and room to continue developing physically.

I remember watching Bell in training camp. Even no-name DL's were beating him badly. They were all lining up just to go against him. I think that I have some video of some of these practices. Bell is in there somewhere.
