  1. The union has to fight for that bonus. I have a feeling they wont fight hard though

The bonus is for offseason workouts which happened prior to the arrest, so The NFLPA is going to fight for it as hard as they would for anyone else. It is not about him, its about setting precedent, you give the NFL ways to not pay for any reason and it is a slippery slope to go down. They will fight for the contract to be followed, not for him. The rules must be followed every time in each case per the contract.
  2. If the plaintiff was completely black out drunk and any reasonable person could see that, it could be considered negligence for someone in a position of power, be it a security guard or a member of the medical staff, to let that person out into the cold under their own volition. While I recognize the importance of championing accountability, if the facts indicate that this kid was totally out of it, their is an argument for shifting some of the liability for his death over to the cognizant individuals who decided where he'd go.

What about the family he was with, they have no accountability, just the people who cut him off and sent him packing because of his poor judgment he must have showed when asked to leave. Not to mention this happened 3 hours after the fact. Where if he was drunk enough to do that 3 hrs sober then......well chances are he was probably continuing to drink past his ejection.... What else could they do put him in stadium jail till the morning for every drunk person at the game, they stop serving way before the game is over. This point of view sounds like your a lawyer.
  3. While I did not study the film or anything, the players in last week seemed to not have problems with players being out of place causing bush to be a superstar like it has been all season. For me watching the game live did not make it look like they were a top 10 ten defense or anything, they did not however didn't look like the worst rush defense like that had been every other game so far. So its too early to tell as it was only one game. It did look better with the new talent on the line.

  4. I have had the Sunday ticket since it came out. Before 2002 i just used direct TV for that, after 2002 i decided to switch after the cable companies kept moving up the price. When the NFL network came out there was no going back to cable as some don't get that channel. For me whenever i call i always say cancel service at the prompt, and it asks you if you want to change or cancel and say cancel again. This gets you to the customer retention dept. When i talk to them i don't even put on a show. I call about every 3 months and ask what offers they have available and they give it to me. No threats or anything you just have to deal with the right dept. I called about the ticket and i got 40 bucks off of the full ticket being a total of 260, showtime free for a year, stars free for 6 months and 10 bucks a month off of my service. I made no threats just asked what offers are available. They are really nice in that department and i have had no problems.

A few months ago i tried to call and get my kids rooms updated to HD receivers for the SWIM so they could watch the recorded shows. The regular customer service told me that i could buy one and get one free, i also wanted the cinema adapter for on-demand that you need once going to SWIM. Altogether it was going to be 25 for the cinema part, 100 for one HD receiver, and 50 for the visit for install for a total of 175. I called right back and talked to the retention dept, and it was all was free. So bottom line talk to them for everything. She did tell me that doing equipment upgrades like that for free are typically only done every 24 months, maybe as little as a year depending on your account history and length of service and how often you ask for them, but that is when dealing with the retention dept not regular service they have much more stringent restrictions put on them(so don't use them).

  5. I think everyone is over thinking the issue. First they may use IP to see if your in the country, but after that they can use your adress for your account. Just like the sunday ticket, if a game is blacked out where I live thats it. I cannot see the game, just like if i want to wactch it on the 700 channel with the package and i tune to that channel it tells me that it is on a local channel and I MUST watch it there. They will use your service address to determine what you are allowed to watch. If i am traveling and not at home, but still in the country when i try to watch the game, if it is blacked out at my house no matter where I am trying to stream the game with my account it still will tell me the game is blacked out.

  6. It has been very sad, I have been a bills fan for a long time, but even last year they didnt quit, for 2 weeks in a row i have not watched passed 5 minutes in the 3rd quarter. It is a very sad time to be a bills fan, they are not even competetive anymore. I hope they snap out of it, if not we may end up with a top 5 draft pick at 5-11 with a one game improvment, but acutally worse to watch than last year.

  7. I was thinking to myself while I was cutting the lawn this weekend, for football season is there anyway I could run a line off my direct tv to bring the TV outside onto my outdoor patio to watch college football saturdays/nfl sundays on one of the nice fall days we have in WNY. I have a system setup in my grate room along with a sustem in my bedroom upstairs & 3 tvs down in my basement. I was thinking the tv setup that is closest to the Patio outside is the one in the 1st floor(grate room). Can I just go to radio shack or something & get extensions to run the lines outside & bring the box & the TV outside?

As long as you buy the splicer for the right type, the cheap regular cable splicer will not work, you have to get the one for the directv sat type and you will be fine

  8. I got mine right before the start of last season and it didnt work all that well, it is IR so that part was nice, but ended up tossing it out, as it didnt work well, only half the time I pushed the button would the reviver recognize it. But looked cool though, lol.

  9. It just seems improbable that Clausen's presence on the roster does not factor into the equation. Unless, the Panthers have already determined that Clausen does not have what it takes to be a very good NFL QB.

While I would agree that it has to matter some, but since Rivera just got there he has no ties to the QB, so it may not matter as much as if he was there when they drafted him.

  10. Blockheads like this guy and the rest that call Ralph cheap never do any research. This guy tosses out a meaningless number while the others just make empty declarations.

What could be their motivation? Answer – not having to think.

Their simple minds haven’t developed past adolescence. So thought is work like homework which equals not good. All decisions from one Bills drive they don’t like are because Ralph is cheap. It’s easier that way for the simple minded person to understand. First make it monolithic. Then make it steadfast. There thinking successfully eliminated.

Did you know that in seasons 2008 and 2009, Buffalo’s total payroll was higher than Dan Snyder’s Washington Redskins. More to the point, they ranked 16th and 13th league wide.

You might be surprised as I was to see Indianapolis and New England way down the list. Way down!

29th and 30th respectively in 2008 to be exact.

Folks, The Bill’s failings are not because Ralph is cheap.
