  1. Hi all,

Does anyone have any idea on who some of the top 3-4 draft prospects that may be available next year in the draft. I know everyone is thinking QB with our first pick and I'd be fine with that. I'm just wondering who else the Bills may have their eye on next year. Any thoughts of who some of the top prospects may be?

  3. What if he is frozen like Walt Disney. The doctors thaw him out every draft day just to say no to every quarterback on the board. Then refreeze.

Or what if he becomes some sort of walking dead type zombie roaming the greater Buffalo area looking to eat the brains of any decent player drafted.

  4. I don't know that we'll ever have teams again like we had in the SB years but those teams took time to build

Kelly and Talley drafted in 1983 (Kelly didnt sign till 86)

Bruce and Andre drafted in 1985

    Will Wolford drafted in 1986

Kent Hull was signed in 1986

    Thurman was drafted in 1988

The Cornelius trade took place in 1987 and Shane Conlan was drafted in 1987

The 84 draft didnt yield anyone outside of Greg Bell who never did much and John Kidd the punter

    we were 8-8 in 83, 2-14 in 84 and 85, 4-12 in 86, 7-8 in 87, 12-4 in 88, and 9-7 in 89 then things really took off

I know Nix is no Polian but assuming and this is a Big assumption, that Buddy is left alone to make his own moves, is given a few years, and chooses players well its still going to take some time....

That being said, I'm as frustrated at watching this team as everyone else on the board....

Couldn't agree more. Buddy and Chan are working with a roster with very little talent and that is ill-suited toward the schemes they want to run. My guess is that after this is done, many of the players currently on this roster will be gone and we will build through the draft. I hope we trade Lynch and whoever else has any value for draft pics and try to build for the future.

  5. There was a lot of embarrassing going on yesterday as the J-E-T-S romped on the Bills. And I went into how my teacher said it was a very good score and she is a member of the system unlike you who appears to be on the outside of the tent p!$$!ng in.

    P.S. J-E-T-S Jets JEts JETS.

I don't even understand what you you are trying to say here... Listen, I'm sorry your score on the SAT was so low. I'm sure you can take classes to bump up your score. By the way, I'd spend quite a bit of the time on the Verbal section. You need it.

  6. I am not aware of any extra credit counting towards an SAT score and I wouldn't do it anyway because I am not a nerd. What did you do for your extra 130 points geek? Clean the chalkboard? If I was there you may have had an eraser for lunch.

You got a funny bit going which I'm guessing wouldn't be so funny live and in person.

    P.S. J-E-T-S Jets JEts JETS.

Dude, please stop. You're embarrassing yourself. A 900 is a terrible score on your SAT's. I don't think you can even get into college with a score like that.

  7. It wasn't bragging because I backed it up. Everyone was calling me dumb but yet I practically got an A on my SATs. Who is it that looks dumb now?

    P.S. J-E-T-S Jets JEts JETS.

Ummm... Is there an alternate SAT that I am unaware of? The current SAT has 3 sections with possible scores range from 600 to 2400, combining test results from three 800-point sections (math, critical reading, and writing). When I took the SAT (1993 or so) the maximum score one could get was 1600.

    So, you got a 900? Out of a possible 2400 or a 900 out of a possible 1600? Am I missing something?

  8. I don't care what anyone else says, I am definitely rooting for us to lose more games than them. If they keep losing, I am rooting for us to lose right along with them. They need a QB, and so do we. I want Luck, period. I was high on Locker for a while, but not so much anymore now. I have hit the five stages. I have moved on. After losing the way we lost yesterday, I have nothing else to look forward to this season except securing a number one pick. I would have bet good money we would not be 0-4 after four games. Show how delusional I am as a fan.

Although even if we do end up with the first pick, I see Luck staying for another year. Why would he ever want to come here if he could in anyway avoid it?

I figured at best, we would be 1-3 to start the year. Since we are 0-4 I'm not really that disappointed. My guess is that Luck will want to come out this year because there may be a lock out next year and a rookie salary cap the following year. He'll want all that bonus money upfront and this year may be the last year he can get it. I hope we go 1-15 and get the #1 overall pick. Go Bills!

  9. I'll have you know that I am not moronic as I pointed out last week that I got almost 900 on my SATs. And I am only returning the obnoxious behavior that was given to me by some people who fancies themsleves as tough guys. I didn't know everyone in here was so senstive because it is only football. It's not like I hit you in the back of the head with a shovel and then put you in the trunk of car and brought you to the river and made you drink gasoline until you talked. I would do you all a favor this week and bust the arm of a Jaguars fan but I don't think I'll be able to find any so sorry.

    P.S. J-E-T-S Jets JEts JETS.

I don't get, you're bragging about getting a 900 on your SATs? Really?

  10. I read these postings everyday on this site and I'd say 90% of them are all negative comments about either our coaching staff or current players. Kind of strange that so many people call themselves a Bills fan but yet do nothing but trash the team and give their great insights why good players will be bad and why bad players will be good. Kind of pathetic!

honestly, the negative posts get a little annoying at time so I can see where you are coming from. I come here mostly to see if anyone has found any good links to good sites for rumors, drafts news, free agency news etc. I don't generally come here for analysis. IMO, Buffalorumblings is a little better in that regard. Some posters are very good. some posters, not so much.

I figure, if someone is so negative about the Bills, let them root for another team. Yes, we have sucked for a while. But nobody is forcing you to root for the Bills, buy tickets, watch the games, etc... you are a consumer in the market place. If you don't like RW's product, buy another team, ya know...?

  11. Nobody cares what your political views are.

There's about a 97% chance you're just a bag of hot air, regurgitating whatever ideology you signed on for, long before you had enough info to make a remotely informed decision.

Chances are you think you have some enlightenment or that you are more "informed" than everyone else and the world needs the benefit of your insight.

You're wrong. You have nothing original to say and even if you did, no one cares. If they did they'd be on a political site right now. People follow sports often to get away from the political BS.

Do everyone a favor and die.

    hahahahahahaha.... best....post...ever....

  12. Who do you think would be the best fit for the Bills as a nose tackle? Below is what Draft Ace had to say about the top NT prospects. I'm hoping we can get a LT with our first pick and maybe, hopefully, we can get one of these guys in the 2nd round. any thoughts on who would be the best fit for us?

    1. Dan Williams, Tennessee

At 6′2″, 327 pounds there’s no question that Williams has the size to play nose tackle. What makes him the top prospect at the position, though, is his athleticism. Most nose tackles earn their living just by eating up space, but a select few have the ability to get into the backfield and make plays. Shaun Rogers may be the best example among active nose tackles, and Williams could certainly have a similar impact at the next level.

    2. Terrence Cody, Alabama

Cody’s stock is on the rise and the more weight he loses the higher his stock will climb. He isn’t the type that will make plays in the backfield with consistency, but he can take on two or three blockers at a time. He lacks the athleticism to be a truly elite nose tackle but he can make an instant impact anchoring a defensive line.

    3. Cam Thomas, North Carolina

Thomas was overshadowed by Marvin Austin at North Carolina, but he’s starting to get the attention he deserves. At 6′4″, 331 pounds he has the size to fit right at nose tackle in the NFL. He struggled to make an impact at times in UNC’s traditional 4-3 defense due to his lack of athleticism, but he should flourish in a 3-4 scheme at the next level.

  13. just an observation from someone who made a somewhat political tinged statement a couple of weeks ago. i offered an opinion on why NBC was not televising the usa hockey game. most missed the point, but because it was not a liberal "take", lots on here took exception with me. it appears that if an opinion is not slanted to the left, you are automatically labeled.. you know.. "fox brainwashed t v watcher", that kind of thing.. if it is a conservative, libertarian type of message, it seems unwelcome..

I love to take politics most of the time. Just not on a Bills forum. I lean more towards the Left than the Right but still find any talk of politics on this forum annoying regardless of what is being said. You love Obama, great. Don't talk about it here. you hate Obama, good for you. Just don't talk about it here.

  14. you mean political?

I agree this isn't the forum but I didn't start it - I felt compelled to rebut some very specious garbage

But it really doesn't matter who started, does it? It doesn't matter if you feel the arguments are fallacious and if you feel the need to offer a rebuttal. Go to a different forum of you want to talk politics. Nobody wants to hear partisan bickering.

  15. Yeah, they had issues....However, are you telling me Stroud gets a pass?

I'd say yes, he does get a pass. IMO, most of our problems stopping the run had more to do with our LBs not playing with enough discipline. They’d over-pursue, get out of their gap containment and bam, there’d be a gaping hole for RBs to run through.

  17. FWIW:

Green is a 10-year veteran who had little starting experience until he arrived in Oakland two years ago. He started every game in 2008 and has good size and strength for the RT position. He has adequate balance and body control in passing situations. He lacks ideal foot quickness when matched up with speed rushers, but shows good hand use and can push defenders past the pocket once he opens his hips. He has improved his awareness and reactions to stunts. In the run game, he comes off the ball with adequate pad level. He will get overextended at times and has trouble recovering once he gets his weight forward. He does a good job as a positional blocker and can sustain contact with wide hand placement.

whether it's depth or as a starter at RT for a year or two it will do. We need some big bodies and he has a RT body. I'm not asking for a pro bowler, but someone who is an above avg run blocker would be nice. He is already better then Bell and Chambers. This isn't shocking as when Buddy was with SD they also got modest FA o-linemen and drafted a bunch as well. expect the same thing.

Good post. If nothing else, this signing gives us some warm bodies on the O-line. I'm happy they are addressing the line and $3M isn't terrible considering he could be a starter for us. Still, I hope we still look to draft a few linemen next month.

  18. If we could get him cheap would you give him a shot.

He may be a victim of the Oak offense and injuries.

Have you been paying attention to Javon Walker in the past few years?? He's done. In fact, he was done BEFORE the Raiders signed him 2 years ago.
