  1. Man, I have never seen so many people get so angry for me just posting this hypothetical question. I said russell is a bust and not good, but look at our current Qbs? They are not good either.

To use a baseball reference, if you could basically sign Russell to a minor league contract, and give him a chance to make the team, what would be the harm? What people would laugh at us? Well I live out of NY state, and here people already laugh at us-

If he continues to suck, you cut him. If you see a small glimmer of hope, you maybe keep him. Thats all I was saying. We basically would have nothing to lose-

  2. The fact you even have the footballs enough to propose this means you are not in touch with whats going on. You should be banned from bringing up topics fro at least a year. JMO...........

listen dick, dont read the topic if you dont like it. I am not suggesting we sign him, I just wanted to know what other people thought. I mean, its not like we have a true starting qb, or even a good qb at that.

And maybe you should clarify what is exactly going on? Since, according to you, I am not in touch-

Now I know Russell was maybe the worst QB in the league for the Raiders, but he does have a cannon, and is young.

So with that in mind, any chance we (the bills) or you as a Bills fan, has interest is Russell?

Keep in mind, Russell did play for the Raiders. I am not making excuses for the young man, but it is hard to develope into a superstar, or even a good player when the Raiders draft you. No matter how good or talented you were supposed to be. (i.e. Huff, Gallary, McFadden, etc)

I am not under the dillusion that russell is the answer for the Bills, but if he were cheap and easily signed, would you remotely be interested?

    My answer: NO

  4. It is nice of the the anonymous source to say that we would take "whatever at this point."

It sounds like someon trying to deflate whatever market there is. I doubt that the Bills will take "whatever at this point." They will hold on to him unless someone offers something worthwile.

Your are right dude. If that was the case, we would have traded him for a 4th or 5th round pick. But in my opinion, you dont trade Lynch unless you get more value than that. RB's are easily hurt, even though we have 3 good ones.

My opinion-keep lynch untill you can get good value for him, or he truly becomes a team cancer (which he may be close to doing)

"Reports circulated out of Baltimore that the team's interest in trading Gaither was more a ploy to get Gaither to report to the team's voluntary off-season workouts, but speculation still exists that Gaither could be on the trading block. Set to make $2.5 million in 2010, Gaither is seeking a long-term extension, and if Baltimore doesn't move him now, he's likely to leave as an unrestricted free agent after next season. Baltimore plans on starting Michael Oher at left tackle, and Gaither could be forced to move to the right side or ride the pine if that move happens with Gaither still on the roster"

  6. No.

Baltimore is not trading their franchise LT for a guy who AT BEST would be a Number 2 RB, but might be the 4th best RB on the team.

no offense but gaither is not their franchise LT-its micheal oher (blind side ha ha)

Gaither would have to move to RT or ride pine. And he is in the last year of his contract, and he wants a long term deal

so if your the ravens, you either trade him, or LOSE HIM TO FREE AGENCY AT END OF YEAR-

  7. Cody wasnt even the next DT to get drafted...so clearly not everyone shared your evaluation on him

Scouts Inc. says: Well, they didn't think highly enough of Troup to produce a scouting report on him. They ranked him as the 13th-best defensive tackle.

well troup was way way down the list. So clearly not everyone shared the Bills evaluation on him

    link: http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...mccoy-for-troup

Troup was a reach bottom line. If bills want him that bad, you trade down and draft him. Stockpile picks like NEW ENGLAND does (Again, even though i hate N.E. they are very smart with trading picks)

  8. Have to wait atleast 1 season possibly 3. But i would not give anything over a C. Did nt get a good qb or an highly rated LT-2 of our biggest needs

the troupe pick bothers me. I dont mind if you take him, just trade down and get him next round. i.e. NEW ENGLAND (even though i hate NE, they know how to trade picks and get more out of them)

  9. After picking a part time running back in the 1st round I believe this draft will go down as one of the worst ever for the Bills. There is not one player that I can say WOW we got this guy.

have you ever seen CJ Spiller play? Cause he is the definition of WOW

As for the other picks, we did not take big name players. we went with need. But really we wont know for 3 years

  10. Actually I thought Levitre did well in his short stint at LT last season where his good footwork becomes more of an asset.

Its possible the coaching staff is considering moving him to LT. In Levitre's senior season he was named to the 2008 Outland Trophy watch list and started all 13 games at left tackle. He registered a career-high 91 knockdowns and 14 touchdown-resulting blocks.

i would agree with you, but thought the coaching staff said Levitre will play guard. I could be wrong but I swear I heard that

  11. It is not like the Buffalo Bills need a QB or anything...Raiders making much stronger picks and picking up a solid QB.

San Diego gets a NT in Cam Thomas that is arguably BETTER then Trouple 3 ROUNDS later.

Bills could have grabbed Clausen in Round 2 and STILL got a NT.

    Simply unbelievable.

I can really say, even the Lions are having a great day, Buffalo is now the cesspool of the NFL when it comes to organizations.

This is the lowest of the low.

Its true man. I am not sure about this draft. I thought they could have done MUCH BETTER.

  12. They reached for Troupe? Let me guess, you would have rather us taken Cam Thomas right? The guy who still to this point hasn't been drafted. Troupe is 6'5 320. He is the quintessential 3-4 run stuffer. Who else was going to play NT? 6'3 295 Kyle Williams? Please. And Carrington lit up his opposition at the senior bowl and had 19.5 sacks in 24 games over the last two years of his career. The guy was a four year starter and was never injured. Their picks make sense, considering we haven't been able to stop the run for five years now. McCoy has tiny hands and a noodle arm Trent Edwards 2.0 that won't be able to throw in the November and December weather.

I think Nix, Gailey and Co. know what they're doing. I trust their judgment over the spittle frothing mental incompetents that frequent this board.

well personally dick, i liked cody more than troupe. but if gonna take troupe, then trade down a bit. I mean look at NEW ENGLAND-thats how you draft. Carrington was ok, but troupe was a reach

and how do you have faith in nix? Because at this point, we just dont know if he knows what he is doing. I mean, where is our LT???
