  1. I agree the refs blew it on the last play..... I feel bad for anyone who lost their fantasy matchup on that call....

Now why did the NFL intiate instant replay for the refs 20 yrs ago, because the "good refs" suck too.....

Everyone should boycott listening to these announcers..

Tirico, Gruden, Collinsworth, Michaels.. Tell us something we don't know... They are terrible....

Hopefully, they will magnify every holding call, every PI, every ball spot when the "old refs' comeback...

  3. I love youth coaches who think they can coach on the pro-level. I watch the Patriots play and can call most of their plays from My couch too.

I HATE 5 wide sets in short yardage and goal line sets.

Especially when you run the ball to get into those situations.

I HATE the Wildcat when I formation is working!!!

I hate the fact that I can call the play from my couch b4 it happens!!!

Now I am not an NFL HC, in fact, I coach youth league sports. My team did win the championship this year though (Chesapeake Tigers Mitey Mite) Hampton Roads Champs!!!

Now the sad part is...I ran a very similar offense to what Chan runs!!!

The diffence...I coach 8-9yr olds, and put the QB under center almost always so we could use play action!!!

Chan should fire himself as he is in over his head, I would love to compete against him on the AYF scene...Seems he may be best suited there!!!!!

  4. Truthfully, Chan has made Freddie..

Oh yeah, let's give this awful play-caller another year to demoralize our faithful fan base. A healthy Fred Jackson is what made Chan and Fitz look like superheroes. They are not. If it were up to me, him, his DC, and his franchise QB would be GONE at seasons end. Regardless of the outcome.

  5. We all know Fitz isn't very accurate, but to put all the blame on him is ridiculous. He can't catch the ball too. I think he did that too.. In the NFL, if you can touch it you should catch it. The last few weeks have been hilarious. Nelson, Smith, Stevie.. Last week Spiller's deep ball, Jones on 4th down. Our receivers need to do a better job of catching the ball. AND our D needs to stop someone... I have no problem drafting a Franchise QB, but its not a certainty. Look at Rivers.

Yes, Fitz has had a terrible 3 game stretch, He needs help too..

  6. I had to laugh watching the Bears eagles game last nite.. Earl Bennett gets called for Offensive PI for a slight push off and watching Burress assault McKelvin without a flag..

    Exactly...

Consistency in PI calls is really the issue is it not? If one crew is going to call it tight then they better call it tight on every play...To me, and yes I am biased, the play you are talking about vs. Freddie was textbook PI...Heck the Defender actually knocked Freddie off balance with his back turned and the ball well in the air...The whole thing has gotten to be a joke...I know Rich Eisen has spoken to Periera about this for years now...Some of these are BIG game changing calls...Something needs to be done...B-)

  7. I'm in the same boat... Rangers fan since the late 70's and a Local Bills fan. Last year, beating the Yankees was good enough for me. But this yr. was our year.. Great series, but game 6 just killed me... The sad part is I waited for something bad to happen once Feliz came in... You want them to return to the WS, but maybe a yr off will do them good. GO Bills.. GO Rangers....

As a lifelong Bills fan, and Texas Rangers fan for the last 30 years (live in Dallas in the mid-80s, use to take my daughter to the Rangers games, we would sit anywhere in the outfield bleachers for $3, and we developed a loyalty from those great memories), I can't help but compare the present Rangers to the Bills of the early 90s.

Especially after that game six--where the baseball gods determined the Cardinals were going to win this thing--it all leaves me with the same sick feeling of "wide right."

But one day, one day, when one of them wins it all !!!

BIlls in 2012 Super Bowl !!!

game six = wide right, oh the pain

    :o

  8. Who worked with Wilcots last week? Was it Ian Eagle.. i thought it was funny(actually scared) when he said the Bills were changing Qb's in the 3rd quarter., Tyler Thigpen coming in for the bills.. Paused, corrected himself and then waited a minute to say Thigpen was on the field/sidelines not the huddle....

You know, I just watched NFL Rewind on the NFL Network, and I agree with you. I think Wilcots did a really nice job. It did annoy me in the past when he would mispronounce "Bills". I don't know if he's been working on it or if I was just being a jerk, but he's much better now. He did a nice job analyzing some of the big plays. I am now a convert...

  9. Late December, 2004, Cincinnati.

A close game becomes a blowout largely due to the play of an undrafted rookie tight end from the Buffalo Bills

His name? Jason Peters. 6 ft 4½ 328 lb 4.93 40 time, 29 inch Vertical, 9 ft 7 in Broad Jump, 21 rep 225 bench Press

On Special teams he first made his mark - blocking punts and blowing apart opposing team wedges. Eventually he became a pro bowl offensive tackle.

Enter, stage left, Nose Tackle/Offensive Tackle Michael Jasper.

    6 ft 4½ 373 lb 5.38 40 time, 32 inch Vertical, 9 ft 5 in Broad Jump, 34 rep 225 Bench Press

The similarities are in height and broad jump. Peters was faster but Jasper is much stronger, heavier, and can leap a lot higher and is a lot smarter.

Now picture Jasper lining up as the lead man in the new two man wedge on kickoff returns. Pain.

Put him over the long snapper on punts and field goals - push forward and jump high and extend. Hmmmmmmmm

Oh God - let him make the team.....please.

  10. Clements was also playing with a far more talented Bills defense. More broadly, what I'm annoyed by is the fact that we are losing a good safety- there is no question that he is in the top half of the league as a starter, which isn't number 7, but still good enough- as well as potentially Drayton Florence, who is also a solid player. The Aaron Williams pick, to me, is representative of the problem with this team- instead of keeping decent defensive players, we're replacing them. I would have loved to pick someone like Kyle Rudolph- we remain garbage at TE- or a DE like Bowers, even if he doesn't pan out. I think Williams will be a good player, but we're going nowhere by constantly losing solid players in free agency when we don't sign anyone at a marquee level, ever.

I think finding another "Good Enough" safety won't be difficult.. We have a few on the roster...
