  1. NFL in Canada let alone Toronto would fail horribly.

People underestimate how big the CFL is here and would conflict with the Argos.

Secondly, Toronto sport franchises are pretty much corporate with the exception of the Jays.

anyone who has tried to buy tickets to a Leafs game understands this.

The worst thing the NFL can do is to give Toronto a NFL team.

    CBF

How do you know it will fail? The market will be much "newbies" but a fan base will grow as NFL is the ultimate marketing machine. Reasons why the Bills in Toronto has not been well received is crazy prices + uncompetitive team = no interest. If the early 90's Bills were playing in Toronto playing towards a Super Bowl run, I think interest would be very high & I know I would have paid the premium. If they had the past Sunday's game, Denver vs. NE in Toronto, I would bet it would have been sold out quickly. Winning cures all.

Raptors who are a sub 500 team is 10th in league attendance with 18K+ at home games, not bad.

Do I want to see the Bills move? No, the team belongs in Buffalo. I would rather see Toronto get an expansion franchise and have that rivalry with the Bills, that would generate much interest. In regards to the Argos, I don't want them to die and two different brands can co-exist. But it is a survival of the fittest.

  2.

According to several sources in the music industry, Bon Jovi's dismissal of longtime guitarist Richie Sambora is likely even related to his pursuit of a franchise, as Sambora was the highest-paid member of his band and the next most prominent member, and by using session musicians or unknowns, he is then able to keep his costs down. Bon Jovi is a shrewd businessman who has kept much of his operation in-house and has long been the central figure in making deals for the band.

Sounds like a salary cap move, practice makes perfect!

  3. Watch him go to Packers ASAP and do ok if he has to play.

He should have played last week for us instead of that waste of space Tuel. I'd rather have a vet being a game manager than a undrafted rookie who showed NOTHING in entire college career and cost us the game.

At least bring Flynn in, in relief in the 2nd half when Tuel was struggling (I know, dropped passes by all too).

  4. HA.

i know several people who have met Phil personally, and I can assure you he is one of the "d-baggiest" athletes around.

tiger is aloof, sure, but figjam takes pretentious to a completely new level.

I think FIGJAM has grown up. He signs hours of autographs each tournament, participates in charity work and is a model citizen for kids to look up to. He is one of the all time greats of the game and is a treat to see him playing the way he is lately.

  5. Update:

According to Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune, the Bears will also workout former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Trent Edwards and former Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Jordan Palmer.

The Bears’ interest in the trio appears to be just due diligence in having a list of players ready to call upon in case an injury were to arise. The team seems fairly set at quarterback with Josh McCown andMatt Blanchard behind starter Jay Cutler.

It's amazing that Trent Edwards is still floating around the NFL collecting a wage. I guess he does enough during tryouts and practices when nobody is blitzing for his head.

  6. Its hard to say if EJ will be ready week one. He'll have to have a very strong training camp and a solid pre-season to be the starter right off the bat. I'd guess Kolb will start the season for Buffalo.

Buffalo is going to have a very different roster this year. It'll take time for this bunch to gel...I think? The 2nd half of the season will be interesting. This is where I hope we begin seeing the fruits of our labor. The signs that we are on a good path.

I am guessing our offense will be inconsistent....and I am guessing our defense will be much improved. Having Pettine as our DC bodes well for us since he has a lot of experience against the Patriots.

That week one match-up against New England. A must watch game. We're getting thrown right into the fire week one. Looking forward to it !

    NE wins division at 10-6

Miami / Buffalo duke it out for 2nd 9-7 or 8-8 I suppose

Jets get basement duty at 6-10

    My early thoughts / guess.

Bills won/loss will be dictated by the defense's performance. I do think our offense will start fast with Kolb, new personnel & coaching. They should score some decent amount of points.
