You had Bart Starr and Brett Favre on the field together at halftime. You have no idea how we feel.
And AR during the game. And sans a few hiccups, perennial contenders since the day Farvreer laced em up. You could use some perspective, ice bowl. R E L A X

Will Irsay fire Pagano tonight or tomorrow?
no
-
That should't take long. lol
I'm not so sure...
-
The center's very lucky they didn't both get destroyed
-
The "qb" didn't expect it and, i'm guessing, didn't want it either.
-
There's no way he was supposed to hike that.

Didn't the return man just bat the ball out of the back of the endzone?

there is less than zero chance the Colts don't win that trash division
Entirely possible, but if they lose tonight, they're only up by 1 game. If they win this game, and the division, I'll be happy to look back and be happy they beat the **** tonight. If they win tonight and lose the division, well, you understand. But like you said, NO chance of that...
-
I hate the **** as much as anyone, but they're winning the division and we're not. We need the Division winners to pull away if we have a chance at a wildcard. If the Colts are winning that division, then fine. If not, that clouds the water imo,
-
I don't want to see the **** go undefeated, but at this point, we need them to run away with the division. Colts don't look like they're running away with anything. Give this one to the **** and keep the rest of the AFC down here with us?

I think the odds are closer to 4 out of 5...
I whole(half?)-heartedly agree.

In this case he likely cost us a win...that miss caused a chain of events that saw us go for it on 4th and goal instead of kicking another FG to cut it to a one possession game. Game would have been tied at 16 instead of us being down 16-10.
This is the first thread I could bring myself to read since yesterday's disappointment, so I apologize if this point has been made elsewhere, but I did read this entire thread to make sure it wasn't mentioned here.
Anyway, maybe we were actually better off that he missed the field goal. It caused us to go for it on 4th. That failure pinned the Giants deep. They go 3 and out (I believe), punt, we get great field position and score quick TD. That's a +1 point improvement in a relatively short period of time. If he makes the kick, who knows what would have happened from that point forward. Your thought process in this matter is linear, when in reality, the chain of events was much more dynamic and dependent on what actually happened along the way. If we get the 2nd field goal, do the Giants go 3 and out from their 20? If so and the punt do we get the ball inside the 50? I could go on and on? Every event unleashes it's own, unique chain of events.

What, no love for Crosby mart (yep, gas station pizza)? There's few of them in Chautauqua County. I'll put their C&P up against all comers. Order it well done.

I am a WNY expat (live outside NYC) but my family still lives in Jamestown. I hear that Time Warner now has TV anywhere, so i hope to borrow my folks twc.com creds and stream to my tv. Anyone try this method?
I also installed a slingbox when I was there for the opener hust in case, lol.
My understanding of the TWC tv anywhere is that if you're not on the home wi-fi of the subscriber, the channel options are extremely limited. I don't think the major networks are available. Slingbox is by far your best bet. I have it and love it.

It's sad that anyone chooses to end their life, but... what a selfish thing to do in front of so many innocent people.
Yeah, because someone about to take their own life is clearly acting rationally.

Last but not least, I would like someone to explain the "running into the kicker" penalty on Dixon and the non-penalty on what looked like a very similar, but later with less excuse, take-down of our punter by Indy. Use small words and speak slowly when you do try to explain.
The non-call was because the defender was pushed into our kicker. IMO.

Yes, but in the aftermath, Buffalo was accused of pumping "stars and stripes forever" through Penn State's headsets during the game. Word traveled at record speed. In mere weeks word had spread as far west as the mississippi.

Don't they still have to cut someone when Dareus' suspension is over? Maybe it's EJ.
-
I can't decide where I'm at on this. I can't get my mind around Cassel being 2nd in the coaches' eyes, and the other 2 are duking it out for 1st and 3rd. If they can't decide between TT and EJ, Then Cassel must be either 1st or 3rd, no? My hope is Cassel is 3rd and the battle is for 1st and 2nd. If Cassel wins the starting job, I fear the team's potential will not be reached to the degree it can be with either of the other 2. That said, none of the 3 have significantly separated themselves from the rest, unfortunately.

So much for landing strips...looks like it's back to the days of the bush pilot.
Maybe there'll be less teenage pregnancy with the added ability to "stick the landing," so to speak.

Absolutely!

I don't think this possibility of the properly inflated 12th ball has been mentioned: could it be that the punter would prefer a fully, even over inflated ball? I would think an under inflated ball wouldn't transfer near as much energy, resulting in shorter, lower hang time punts?

I'd bet my house the pick up of the PI flag in the cowboys/lions game came from NY via the nifty new headsets. Those headsets aren't for on field communication...they're for this

I thought something might've happened to Paul Simon.

I thought they should've been using timeouts when LA had 1st and goal. At that point you know they only have 3 plays. Hindsight makes it a moot point, but in the moment...
