  1. Silence in itself is the most potent statement that can be made by former noisey posters. I said right from the start that Edwards would win the starting position in the qb competition. DarthIce and his Taliban tribe of TE haters unleashed a torrent of ridicule at me. Now they are hiding in their caves. Shameless cowards! LOL

    Wow!!!!

  2. I think an NFL sponsored spring developmental league would be very successful. People love college football and it's a huge moneymaker, so the "inferior product" argument doesn't hold water. The NFLDL would essentially be staffed by practice squad players, UFAs, and kids who decide that they would rather make $50k-150k a year in the NFL minors than play for free in college. It may turn out to be a better way to groom kids for the NFL, especially for QBs. From a marketing standpoint, each NFL team could have a minor league team with the same uniforms and name and superfans could follow their team's stars of the future yearround. Some games could be played in other cities to expand the parent franchise's fan base. I really see no downside for the NFL. The SEC might be pissed though. What do you guys think? I mentioned this in another thread but I think it could be an intresting topic on it's own.

Because the bills would be in it.

  3. First off, excellent post.

Secondly, I too am curious as to who you think we should bring in? I am a firm believer in giving almost the kitchen sink to get McNabb here, my second choice would probably be Troy Smith though. He has looked decent at times and was the starter over Flacco in training camp until he got injured. I think he may be worth a 3rd or 4th round pick.

I also think if we could get a good LT with our 1st pick, I believe Jake Delhomme would be another guy we could possibly get cheap to fill in for a year or 2. Draft maybe Lefevour or Tony Pike later in the draft to sit behind him for a year, and let Brohm and the rookie battle it out for #2 and eventual #1.

Not a bad idea at all.

  4. sigh...

The Bills aren't moving! they were 12th in operating profit last year!! Christ folks. Look before the NFL owners would ok a move (and YES they have to vote and approve the move) you must have a new owner that will have to try and get more out of a market that sells out consistently when fielding a crappy team!

You cannot tell me a new owner brings in a great GM, HC, Staff etc that this fan base wouldn't pay 10-15.00 more per ticket. You bet your ass they would. We haven't sold naming rights either. So until several of those options are explored, no way they let the team move.

Next, Where to? The Bills are NOT going to friggin LA. Where in this Economy are you going to find a City that will foot the bill for an 800 million to a billion dollar stadium?

Look this team is going no where for a long time IF they are allowed to move at all. If anything I can see the NFL allowing 2-4 teams to fold up tent and go back to 28 teams, before anymore moves are made.

I love your optimism. The bills aren't going anywhere.

  5. I'm gonna disagree with that one. I personally think RWS is far from good when it comes to the views from the seats, especially if your eyes suck like mine now do.

If you've ever been to a game at Soldier Field, there is no comparison. I would argue the worst seat at Soldier Field is almost as good as the best seats at RWS. Ralph's seating is too spread out.

Yeah but it is chicago which has business ie money and it is smaller. no comparison

  6. Today is a very high traffic day here and everyone seems to have an opinion on why the Bills ultimately lost. In an attempt to find out if there is a consensus, I created this poll.

I think that it is Leodis McKelvin's fault. He had the ballgame in his hands and coughed it up. Not fumbling does not guarantee a Bills win but if he had not fumbled what are the chances that the Bills win? I think it would be at least 90%

You can point to the other factors but none of them are a single moment in the game like the fumble was. All the other poll choices (it seems to me) point the finger at a group of plays or are a specific period of time during the game.

The fumble was a single, crucial, momentum-swinging play that happened just as many of us were entertaining the thought of victory.

Nonetheless, that's only my opinion. I'd like to know yours.

I think it is all Mckelvin's fault. They would not have had any timeouts after our posession and we definitely would have won.

  7. What did you see from Saturday that gave you the impression the offense has the potential to

be potent this year?? Unlike the Kelly years, they are running the no huddle now based on the

shakiness of the O line. Quick passes is all they can hold up for and based on yesterday, there will be

no holes for running game whatsoever. Its only 1 preseason game, but the line has not been stellar the laste

few years WITH an all pro left tackle and Mcnally was even here and he was one of the best O line coaches.

They have 5 new starters on the line an O line coach in Sean Kugler that I believe is in over his head.

To say the offense will be potent is a joke.

Same old bills from the past decade and a half. We can't score touchdowns and our season is probably going to be over by week 8. Then we will see TO eat trent alive and quit playing after the first drive.

If I am wrong and we are playing meaningful football into hopefully November at best I will shave my legs and become a stripper.
