Would you say that he was playing with a lack of confidence the first two games? I don't understand why everyone goes bonkers after a bad PREseason and one game where our offensive line didn't play very well and TO wouldn't even try for balls thrown his way.

Should that entire staff be canned? It seems every year we have tons of injuries and I can't figure out why it always happens. Is it b/c of Dicky J's training camps that could easily be mistaken for 5 weeks of walk thru's?
If anyone has any other ideas on why half our teams is on IR every year, I'd love to hear it.

I understand last game was just terrible from every aspect of football (coaching, offense, special teams and defense in the 4th quarter), but it really may not be as bad as we all think. Besides, not very many people on this board thought that we'd give Saints much of a challenge anyway.
Here's what we have to have a positive outlook on:
1. Marshawn is coming back this week. Even if he isn't 100%, Miami will have to scheme for him AND Fred this week. This will help our run game out behind a very shaky offensive line.
2. The Bills have the Phins and the Browns the next two weeks so we "should" be 3-2 after the week 5 is over.
3. AVP and TE still hasn't figured out how to incorporate both Lee and TO into the offense, which will only come with time. Once they can start taking advantage of the talent we have at WR, they will be much more explosive.
4. Shawn Nelson should be coming back soon, which is a huge upgrade over D. Fine.
I realize being a Bills fan is miserable, but just once in a while, we need to have some kind of optimism.

Brady was 39 of 53 for 378 yards in his 1st NFL game after a knee surgery. How is that not getting torched? I'm not saying that we got beat long by Moss, but 378 yds is a lot to give up in any game.

You don't agree that Brady picked us apart in the pass game? If we were so stellar against the pass wouldn't we have been able to shut him down in the 4th?

I definitely think the Bills can win this week, though it would definitely be one of the biggest wins we've had in my short term memory. In order for them to be successful this week, I feel the below needs to happen:
1. Fred Jackson needs to have a lot of carries, so we can eat up a ton of clock and keep the ball out of Brees' hands.
2. Buffalo needs to throw the kitchen sink at Brees on D and rely on their corners to cover man to man. This worked really well by the Jets vs. Brady last weekend and I think if the D sits back in the cover 2 this weekend, Brees will pick us apart.
I know that there are a lot more football savvy people on this site, so what do you think the most important key to winning the game this weekend is (aside from D. Brees' arm falling off)?

I think this shows some nice respect from Vegas with the amount of points that Brees has put up in the first two weeks. This is especially even more surprising considering the Bills D has been picked apart in the passing game the past two weeks against Brady and Leftwich.
Any thoughts?

gotta be an issue with the new website format...fred the head isn't on there and neither is Jason Peters...Although I wouldn't mind seeing Peters out for TG, I love Fred and think we'll be in a good position to re sign him at the end of the year

Can someone please tell me how Dave 'frickin' Goldberg mentions the top six worst coaches in the league and fails to mention Dick Jauron!?!?!?!? I mean, week after week our boy DJ makes the worst possible game day decisions in the league. Last week our defense had six picks in a game and we still almost and probably should have lost the game!
